Thanks! This was a really fun iteration of a “Neo-retro rando” a classy cockpit setup for being on the bike all day. Easy on the eyes. Some folks have opinions that there is too much black. In my defense when you ride from sun up to sun down, having a dark or neutral color tone cockpit is easier on eyes when riding in the sun. Sure, some sunglasses could fix the glare. I have swapped some stuff around. Keep your eyes out for another upload.
Thank you for watching. The wheelset is Crust Bikes 650b/27.5 rim brake with sp dynamo hub, the rims and rear hub are produced for Crust Bikes. The rear hub is similar to Shimano and old sunxcd style hub body. crustbikes.com/collections/wheels/products/crust-randonneur-rim-brake-wheelsets The forks for the Lightning Bolt Canti are proprietary for the Lightning Bolt Canti rim brake model. I believe each Crust Bikes models of framesets are designed around a specific fork and bottom bracket style. On the website there is a 650B conversion fork for 1” quill stem style similar to the Lightning Bolt Canti fork it just doesn’t seem to clear as big of tires as the Lightning Bolt Canti can with or without fenders.
Very nice. Mine is similar to yours but went for cheaper brakes in back. It should be ready to roll in a couple weeks. Do you like the way yours rides?
I love the way my Lightning Bolt rides, it doesn’t feel like dead tubes. Pretty springy and snappy ride feel. I hope your build makes you smile as much as mine does. Thank you for watching #staystokedifpossible
