    I want to specially thank you for this very video. So I used it to make a beautiful pot of bitterleaf soup (it's my first time😌) and everybody loved it, even my MIL kept hailing me and telling me how sweet the soup was. She even wanted to take some out and store for herself. Mehn!😂

    Ogiri is fermented CASTOR SEED, not locust beans biko. I know because my grandmother makes OGIRI

    I love this soup, but each time I try to prepare it, the cocoyam doesn't dissolve properly but forms lumps in the soup. I wonder what I am doing wrong.

      Is the cocoyam well cooked before you pound? Are you using the cocoyam for soup?

      @@Ifyskitchen Well 1st time I used the dry blended cocoyam powder sold in the market and the 2nd time I tried with the home-cooked cocoyam, didn't know there was a special one for soups.

      @@dunnio1031 Also ensure that your cocoyam is smoothly pounded without lumps/seeds.
      You can equally blend it but be careful with the water you add to avoid the soup being too watery.

      Fermented locust beans. If you tell the women at a Nigerian market you're looking for Ogilisi for ofe onugbu, they'd know it.

      What chaff exactly?? From ede? What I know is that you boil the ede, remove the skin and pound! After pounding you put in the soup in small lumps…
