This oha soup recipe is IT!!!! 🔥🔥🔥Take it from a non-Nigerian who had never made oha soup before, but completely knocked it out of the park with Ify's recipe. ☺️ It's very simple and easy to follow, it's also easy on the effort you'll need to use, and the outcome is 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 Thank you, Ify! ❤️
@@Ifyskitchen I used your recipe on IG like 4 years ago and it was bomb! I am Yoruba while my Hubby is Igbo. So that was my very first attempt and I knocked it off the pack! He was so impressed. My husband to be is from Nigeria Enugu state. Am not Nigerian. But he told me I must learn how to make oha soup because that's Igbos soup. Well, am here to learn
Thank you for the recipe. My first time making the soup and it was amazing. I had troubles with the ogiri isi. Bought Ogiri isi from the market got home and opened it up. Was some bunch of leaves, I was speechless but I ended up blending the leaves to a smooth paste and adding it to the soup base. It was really fun and easy to make. Thanks for this recipe❤️
@@silasbarbie4416 The ogiri isi is usually a very small portion wrapped with so much leaves to retain its freshness. If you had taken off all the leaves, you would've seen it inside. Next time, tell the seller to open each for you to confirm that the ogiri is inside and it's fresh because when it spoils they still sell it to unsuspecting customers
I made my oha soup for the first time yesterday and it was the best soup I ever had. Everyone praised me and gave me gifts and cash. I couldn't have done it without you, thank you so much ❤️.... Please make ofe owerri 🤗
Years ago I was introduced to an ibo restaurant close to my office where my colleagues used to have lunch, it was there I fell in love with oha soup, it was so good. When I came across your recipe here and decided to try it oh my God!!! It was nostalgic!! Just the way I remembered it. It turned out so well, my whole family especially my kids are always excited when they hear its Oha soup on the menu. Funnily my first attempt was with the regular eating cocoyam and ogiri okpei which was what I had on hand and it still turned out great. And I'm yoruba but you see this your oha soup, your ogbona soup and okro soup recipes ,they've given my kitchen a whole new vibe. Thank you so much for being such a great teacher, God bless you❤❤❤❤

What other alternative can I use apart from cocoyam
Achi or ofor
This Oha soup looks very similar to the Bokolisa soup we consume in Ondo State. I think the only difference is the leaves and seeds we use.

Please did you wash the stock fish with hot water before cooking?
I thought the uziza and oha leaves be added separately? Since the uziza leaves are tougher than the oha leaves. Uziza first
Can I do this without uziza leaves.. I didn’t get that in the market
