My favorite season is spring when the temperatures suddenly get warmer and the snow melts and you can be outside again. I feel a lots of joy during that time of year.
Was out in Minneapolis last year in August, Austin in June and Reno in October. Reno is off the list, now it’s down to Austin and Minneapolis. I’m moving from Los Angeles, I’m a remote worker where my job allows us to live and work in a different state. I had a great time in Minneapolis, it’s definitely high on my list for relocation.
I'm extremely anxious in moving to MSP. It checks all the boxes for me. Vibrant economy, all 4 sports teams, and housing prices are actually quite affordable compared to Seattle. Just have to convince the wife.
Seattle and Minneapolis both suck. Terrible city governments and high property and violent crime rates. Minnesota people are much friendlier than smug weird Seattle types however.
I’m moving to Minneapolis tomorrow this video was great on information even though I knew most of it but I still am just looking at videos on what it like to live there so I don’t get surprised
My family and I are considering moving out there due to a job opportunity my husband will have, we are a Hispanic family originally from California currently living in the south and we definitely know how it feels to move to a state where you feel out of place, how diverse would you say Minneapolis is? Thanks in advance!
Hi Val! Here's a great resource to get that information: www.census.gov/library/stories/state-by-state/minnesota-population-change-between-census-decade.html#:~:text=Population%20(up%207.4%25%20to%20331.4,or%20More%20Races%2010.2%25).
It used to be fun and enjoyable to visit downtown Minneapolis and all the stores. However, Minneapolis has now become a crime-ridden waste land...car-jackers on every corner. The suburbs are still livable.
I'm weighing the idea of moving back to MN and giggling at the cultural cons. The passive-aggression wouldn't necessarily shock me since I grew up with it, but it really is annoying. I'm worried people will think I'm incredibly blunt and aggressive now. Also, having your breath freeze inside your nostrils is no joke. Ice boogers are a thing.
What do you think is a fair price for an average 3 bed 2 bath single family house in the Shakopee MN area? Would you recommend Shakopee MN as a good place to settle down and raise a family there?
Hi there, good questions. The median price for a 3+ bed single family home in Shakopee is currently $380k (compared to a $370k median for the entire metro). I think Shakopee is great! Have never felt unsafe when I've been there. Niche gives Shakopee an A- rating.
I would love to move to Minneapolis since I'm slowly being squeezed out of Western Washington. I'm dying a slow death here so to speak. MN checks all the boxes for me. My biggest challenge is the wife. I can't seem to persuade her to move to MN with me 😭
You dont want to move here, this state sucks in every way!. Below 0 for 3 months, windy and rainy all the time in the summer and the humidity is the worst.. people are rude, lots of annoying bugs. Lots of mold and allergies here too do to the wetness all the time..

There's crime everywhere, of course, and I'd consider ANY level of crime to be "bad'. @@LivinginMinnesota yeah but that's 2018's data and from what I heard it really went south in the past 2 years. @@Bracci0 I’m from Minneapolis and For the most part it’s not bad don’t let people scare you it’s like any other city, you have your areas. But even those areas aren’t so bad if your just driving through it minding your business. Not like you about to be outside on the block 😂
I moved here in December and so far I’ve been through three different riots and I’ve had National Guard in my neighborhood twice because Black Lives Matter. This place is a ticking time bomb since George Floyd. Uptown is definitely not the neighborhood to look into anymore it’s sad to see all of the boarded up retail shops and places that have closed down because of the riots. I would think twice before moving here it’s not like it used to be. Im stuck here for work so I’m moving to the north loop if it’s my style of young professionals and it seems to be a little bit quieter of a neighborhood but still in a mix of everything
It's been a tough year or two for our city, but I'm not ready to write it all off. Plenty of great people and great areas so live, so I hope you find yourself someplace you love and feel safe & happy!

Joe Carmack, why should I have to add it to the bucket list?

I was wondering if it was good to work for Uber in Minneapolis
I couldn't say for sure right now, but I've actually got a client who worked for Uber and last time we spoke he was making about $90k a year.

Do it. Move back to MN. Where I live right now is a crap show and I too am considering this.
