*Came in today and my friend and I both rode **Latest.Bike** Scooter around for about an hour. Was lots of fun and didn't drain the battery much at all!*
Just got a free E175 for my son. I tested the batteries and were bad. I spent around 30 dlls for new batteries. Went trough the hazzle of changing the connectors. Then the scooter will not work. I could hear the click. Took it apart 3 times and assumed the controller was bad since each time it clicked I would get around 0.2 volts going to the motor. Was about to go to bed and order the new controller in the morning. Decided to watch your video and just learned that the 100 series need a kick before starting. That was the issue 😂... Many Manu thanks for the video!!!! My son is happy now.
I get the same click on my son's Razor 35O & I think they don't need the kick start but I'm gonna check to see if the batteries r bad. Idk what else it could b ??
If I would have just listened to this whole video the very first time instead of searching for another one it would have answered every question I had.
2 things - your ion generator is a 1 and a 0, or high and low (on and off). 😅 The second is the infamous 'click' on the E100 with the necessary push off. You saved me on that one! THANK YOU! Now to put it all back together...
AWESOME VIDEO 👍 keep up the great Work 👍... my sins Razor 350 makes that click sound & I'm gonna try to jump that break line after I check the batteries first. Thanks again
One of the best explanations I have come across for differences in the controllers. Thanks for sharing your experience. You have gone past what the customer service explains over the phone.
I have news about your "ion drive"! It's not a "I" and an "O", it's a 1 (one) and a 0 (zero). It's from the old days of computers and electrical engineering. 0 is off and 1 is on. Hope that helps. But I do like the Ion Drive bit. ;-)
I never like comment or subscribe to anyone. Cause f them when they beg. But you definitely got a big like from me on this. Very helpful. Thank you sir
VERY informative. To the point with no flashy BS. One question. Where is that jumper wire connected to simulate the kick off. Picked up an E100 Power Core at the resale shop on the cheap. Batteries good, motor good. brake switch good. now I can test the controller. Thanks.
Great video. I'm still stumped though. I just installed new batteries (Interstate) and a new controller, but I only get that clicking sound when I hit the throttle. I have a Razor GFD Fury.
Thats because you Cant "Wire a variable speed controller to it". You need an entire new throttle and controller, which we sell as a kit. wildscooterparts.com/catalog/product/view/id/56/s/razor-e300-variable-speed-throttle-kit/
I am aware that you are demonstrating parts of a E bike but I believe a mobility scooter pots work the same. I am trying to troubleshoot a Rascal 305 mobility scooter for a low income gentleman that can not afford to take the scooter into a shop. He said that it just quit working one day. The scooter also has the electric adjustable seat. With the key turned to the right the potentiometer (via the forward/reverse levers) controls the scooter drive motor. With the key turned to the left the potentiometer controls the up/down of the seat height. Both the drive of the scooter and the seat height adjustment are not working. Since the potentiometer controls both this is where I started my troubleshooting. I have 25 volts at the battery, the key switch input and outputs (when on). I jumped from the battery to the drive motor and to the seat adjustment motor and both work. The potentiometer has the following voltage readings: Input: 3.68v Wiper: 2.5v (no matter where the speed dial is set) Ground: 1.3v Should the input be the full 25 volts or is it reduced at the controller box and when received back at the controller jumped back up before going to the motor? The speed pot voltage is: 2.5v at both wires. I am trying to figure out if the forward/reverse pot is bad or if it's the speed control pot or if it is the controller box. Any help would be appreciated.
I actually had burned the whole wire up going to the on off switch hooking it up wrong and thought I was going to buy another controller at the least because I even hooked it back off and saw the light off so I thought it wasn't working. It ran the whole time and I would have never known.
I got a E300 at a thrift store and replaced the batteries and it works great. I have 2 chargers from previous Razor scooters, but neither turn red to indicate charging. I know the chargers are good. Can I change the charge port connections to go directly to the Red / Black connection and bypass the controller?
The switch "I" is not an "I" as in capital "i", its a 1 (one) , the "O" is a zero 0. IT's as in digital logic 1 is high or on, 0 is low or off. They should just print On or OFF, is it that hard? for them. I guess it keeps it language neutral.

I have a 24v Atv. Version 11 if that makes a difference. All of these verified: power from battery, voltage going to and from throttle. Everything is working, BUT I can’t get any voltage to go to motor. It’s not low voltage cut off, breaks are normally in, tried both ways. Took apart the controller and have power going in just no power will go out via the ground if throttle is twisted. Yellow motor wire from controller has voltage too. Only thing I can tel is maybe the little black box in the controller is faulty? I really want to figure out!!! Thanks if you can help!
It's numbers one and zero, not letters I and O. in binary or machine language, the number one means on, yes, go, etc. Zero means no, off etc. I first saw this on the original IBM PC back in the 80's. Now they use it for everything because math is like a universal language.
Thanks for that! We have repaired thousands of scooters, and even designed our own controller boards but none of the 10 of us here knew that! Very cool. But we will stick with "I means ion generator"...so quicky its hard to forget!
The I and 0 on the switch has to do with binary system that works with only two numbers 1 and 0. The I is a one and 0 is zero. So 1 is power and zero of course zero power. But thanks for the wiring explanation. I was wandering where the hell the two red wires go. Now I know.

Thank you for making this video. It really helped. So I just got a new controller for my son's mx350 bike (his had some bad connectors that got melted) I hooked it up like you showed and had the two extra red wires left but the bike didn't run, so I remembered you say they go to the switch. I unplugged two wires from the switch and plugged those in and it runs. But I'm still having an issue with when I go to charge it, the charger light stays green. If the charger never goes to red there is a issue between the charger and the controller. Check all wires, and try a new charger. Did you forget to reconnect the charger port?

I have a crazy question. I just picked up an mx650 that someone was about to trash. It has been sitting for 2+ years outside. I have a functioning mx350 in the garage- can I connect the 650 motor to the 350s controller to see if it’s still functioning? The 350 is still 24v stock setup. No modifications at all. I am awaiting new batteries for the 650 and also have no idea if the 650s esc is still functional.
Hi! Great video! So here’s my situation, I have a razor mx500, just swapped out the motor and speed controller and throttle , batteries are a year old . I got power to everything and then everything just shut off and no more power. I went ahead and bought new batteries, still nothing. The fuse is also fine and all connections are good. What I noticed is that it died right when I plugged the charger into it.. am I killing the speed control module?
So wires for the switch, what color are they? That switch went out on mine when I swapped batteries to lithium batteries after a while. Can 36 v controller be shuntmoded ? Is it worth shunting for more power? You said throttle is one speed, I disagree. It's variable on ones I've encountered n worked on. (Rsf650s).
i can probably google it, I just started to understand the razor scooter. my question is. what year of early or in general are the start and current years for the models present. if this could help me pinpoint where I am. still learning. thanks for that great video.
I want to upgrade my batteries, throttle and speed controller on my razor ecosmart metro sit down scooter that is 36 volt, 500w motor what’s the best way to do that?
Best way is with a universal controller , throttle, battery, and charger from our web site. Do NOT upgrade the motor, that will slow the unit down. You will add a 4th battery and go to 48V...thats what you want to do.
Question. I have a USA 120v version of the German full-sized scooter Charly. The controller box appears to be toast. Is it possible to repair this box? Do you do this?
My E200 has a 4 wire throttle controller (red, green, yellow, yellow) I cant find any diagrams that indicate what each wire is for. Is red power, green ground and both yellow sense wires?
I have a razor quad with new batteries and fuse. When I turn on power. The throttle lights will light up for a second then disappears? Any thoughts if it’s bad throttle or control module?
My son's Razor E150 motor starts rolling but shuts off after few seconds. Also, the contoller doesn't click when throttle is pressed. Can you suggest what could be the possible cause of this?
Hello. This is exactly the controller. The device does not move. The wheel spins at low power if raised above the ground. It does not charge, or it is charged. What to do?
Hi. Great video but I still need some help. We have an MX350. Throttle is completely unresponsive, not even clicking. I just replaced the batteries and still nothing. Power switch lights up, but absolutely nothing happens when you give it throttle. Thoughts?
I found a razor pocket mod n I'm trying to find out if I can switch the 24v out with a 36 volt electronic control from the razor scooter c35 .my cousin gonna put togather for me but trying to make sure it will work but not sure about the batteries because on the c35 it has 3 batteries .I was hoping to just be able to switch over .I also found the c35 but it didn't have the handlebars or throttle it didn't have the whole upper part .so I figured I either buy all that or convert it to my razor pocket mod .I can barely keep up with these names but the thing is the 36v electronic controller from the c35 is alot smaller and the connections are different and u seem to be a razor expert .I'd like these to use for myself and what can I do for speed .? I also saw a video about taking off the back of the electronic controller n said to solder something on the back to make it go faster . I'm just now learning about all these things but mine doing the same as u were talking about with the clicking not sure what series it is so I guess I'll try kicking off my cousin put wires in to show me it was working so I know it works but thank you for explaining it to us
Hi nice video HI I have a variflex stinger electric scooter, here are the specs Variflex Stinger Electric Scooter Specifications: Two 12 Volt 12Ah SLA batteries, 24 Volt DC motor, 575-5M-15 HTD drive belt, 2-speed off/on/on pull lever throttle, 10"x2" tires and tubes, rear band brake, 24 Volt AC 2 Amp output battery charger Between my buddy and I we have some good tech abilities, the question is, what would be the best way to make this scooter FASTER? I was wondering if you could give me some ideas to make this thing ROCK
I just got scammed on a poxket mod and it came with 4 6 volts wired together and all of the fittings cut off. I was able to find a 12 and 2 of rhe 6v, and find out what else is wrong. On the charger, the motor makes a deep whining and it shuts on and off and so does the power light. I got a different problem.i found a e 150 in the trash and all that was wrong with it was the batteries. I took 2 20 volt lithium drill batteries and it worked fine .faster longer ride time etc. Well just today I recharged the batteries and when I went to turn on the power switch the scooter took off. No kick just straight wide open .I made sure nothing was touching inside the deck and tried it again this time with the scooter sitting on stand to prevent it from climbing the wall but again, the scooter was wide open as soon as I turned o. The switch.im clueless and as I suspected, any video or trouble shooting is geared towards the won't run problems. No matter how I word the Google search it doesn't seem to be a popular problem. So,what did I fry? I'm sure this has to do with the 40 volts that I am using. Any answers would be great.

Have any idea on what problem is?
My friend , My mx350 runs slowly ,I press the trottle, and the wheel moves slowly, the controller is new,the battery is 24 or 26 volts when I check it , what could it be ?
Hi, how does the kick off work then because powering up motor direct from bench supply, it runs straight away, how is the controller sensing or controlling this function please?
@@WildPowerSports you were 100% right. I fixed 2 out of 3 by simply replacing the batteries. Thank you so much! The 3rd one doesn't click when I pull the throttle so I'm guessing it's the controller.

i have a razor dirt quad for my kids it kept saying low battery even when they where full i bought new batterys and it did the same thing i replaced the on off switch it fixed it
Sounds like you need to talk to a tech. Did you buy the batteries from us? If so we will give you unlimited phone support to get it going. If not, try to contact the company you got them from (Good luck).
Excellent… I have question
I replaced the power button, the reset button and batteries, It looks like is charging, but the power button never turns red. How can I fix that ?? The scooter is running, but the charger don’t get green too. Could you help me with that ?? Ty👍🏽🙏
Thank you
Yea u just saved me lots of money
Well, if you have no power its got to be the power switch or a bad connection.
@@WildPowerSports thanks
So wires for the switch, what color are they? That switch went out on mine when I swapped batteries to lithium batteries after a while. Can 36 v controller be shuntmoded ? Is it worth shunting for more power? You said throttle is one speed, I disagree. It's variable on ones I've encountered n worked on. (Rsf650s).
i can probably google it, I just started to understand the razor scooter. my question is. what year of early or in general are the start and current years for the models present.
if this could help me pinpoint where I am. still learning. thanks for that great video.
Basically from the beginning of Razors. The early ones used a variable speed system which is different.
Thanks my friend a lot
Only an electrical kick will make e100 run not a manual turn of motor?
I want to upgrade my batteries, throttle and speed controller on my razor ecosmart metro sit down scooter that is 36 volt, 500w motor what’s the best way to do that?
Best way is with a universal controller , throttle, battery, and charger from our web site. Do NOT upgrade the motor, that will slow the unit down. You will add a 4th battery and go to 48V...thats what you want to do.
Can u show how to get rid of the cut off switch mine keeps turning off bat every couple yards
I think my battery is bad but I wanted to make sure that the electric controller just didn't go bad how do I check it
Question. I have a USA 120v version of the German full-sized scooter Charly. The controller box appears to be toast. Is it possible to repair this box? Do you do this?
Yes, you can repair anything...but for the price of a new one, its not worth it. Simply buy a new one at wildscooterparts.com
Can you make the video razor E prime 3 how to check the motor, controller. Because my not working. Thank you
My E200 has a 4 wire throttle controller (red, green, yellow, yellow) I cant find any diagrams that indicate what each wire is for. Is red power, green ground and both yellow sense wires?
I have a scooter that has a reset button that is pressed in. but can't be pressed out. What do you think is the problem?
Good job God bless you
I have a razor quad with new batteries and fuse. When I turn on power. The throttle lights will light up for a second then disappears? Any thoughts if it’s bad throttle or control module?
So to test the motor on the 24v scooter you just have to connect power and ground??
My son's Razor E150 motor starts rolling but shuts off after few seconds. Also, the contoller doesn't click when throttle is pressed. Can you suggest what could be the possible cause of this?
Hello. This is exactly the controller. The device does not move. The wheel spins at low power if raised above the ground. It does not charge, or it is charged. What to do?
it's not I and O on the rocker switch, it is 1 and 0. 1 means on, 0 means off.
I have a controller that clicks but doesn’t have wires for the brake. Has the 6 pin throttle plug though.
I’m lost
Hi. Great video but I still need some help. We have an MX350. Throttle is completely unresponsive, not even clicking. I just replaced the batteries and still nothing. Power switch lights up, but absolutely nothing happens when you give it throttle. Thoughts?
Same problem I have zr350 razor ,switch light works motor works no throttle
@@db2955ever figure out the issue's
I'm just now learning about all these things but mine doing the same as u were talking about with the clicking not sure what series it is so I guess I'll try kicking off my cousin put wires in to show me it was working so I know it works but thank you for explaining it to us
Ive been watching videos on the subject all day
If the throttle not connected when you turn do they make a clicking noise
Hi nice video
HI
I have a variflex stinger electric scooter, here are the specs
Variflex Stinger Electric Scooter Specifications: Two 12 Volt 12Ah SLA batteries, 24 Volt DC motor, 575-5M-15 HTD drive belt, 2-speed off/on/on pull lever throttle, 10"x2" tires and tubes, rear band brake, 24 Volt AC 2 Amp output battery charger
Between my buddy and I we have some good tech abilities, the question is, what would be the best way to make this scooter FASTER?
Do we just get a stronger motor?
Can we wind this one tighter?
Get a better battery?
Maybe just go with a 36v battery and be done with it?
I was wondering if you could give me some ideas to make this thing ROCK
I just got scammed on a poxket mod and it came with 4 6 volts wired together and all of the fittings cut off.
I was able to find a 12 and 2 of rhe 6v, and find out what else is wrong. On the charger, the motor makes a deep whining and it shuts on and off and so does the power light.

Q:Is there a complete kit available? must i piece them together one at a tkme and hope i dont get stuck?

Q: is there a template for making your own body panels/design?
Thanks!!❤🎉
I have a razor pocket mod batterys are charged 25v but just clicks when throttling help please
Dear Sir!
my son’s 24v razor dirty bike dose not move however I replaced new battery what do you think what’s wrong with it and should be the controller plaz?
I have a razor sx 500 last fall was working great now I plug in charger says charged when turn on while plugged in throttle lights up as soon as unplug throttle goes out and does nothing I believe it’s a bad charge controller but not sure also did battery swap still same thing but charge controller is only a year old replaced shortly after bought? Have any idea on what problem is?
I have a razor pocket mod my question is, How do I get that charger connected behind the charger?
Charger behind the charger???
My friend , My mx350 runs slowly ,I press the trottle, and the wheel moves slowly, the controller is new,the battery is 24 or 26 volts when I check it , what could it be ?
Should I charge the new battery before using it?
Yes! Always!
Hi, how does the kick off work then because powering up motor direct from bench supply, it runs straight away, how is the controller sensing or controlling this function please?
Controller watches for back voltage from the motor before it will engage power...that simple. You can trick it with a battery....
Question... my motor spins when on the bench but not on the ground. No matter how much I kickoff
Soooo you think it's the batteries. 😁
@@virtualvinnie 95% of the time its batteries!
@@WildPowerSports you were 100% right. I fixed 2 out of 3 by simply replacing the batteries. Thank you so much!
The 3rd one doesn't click when I pull the throttle so I'm guessing it's the controller.
@@virtualvinnie Boom! Now if everyone would just try batteries first, we would all have a lot less broken scooters!
Wild Power Sports;
How to disable/jumper-out/bypass that stupid kick-to-start function?
For the problem i’m having with the speed kit is that the pedal don’t work when i connect it. Does it matter what model i have? By the way nothing is wrong with my pedal bc i connected it to my stock controller and it worked but not with the speed kit.
I thought that's what it was this battery is 3 years old it holds voltage but when I get a load under it it's nothing the lady I bought it from tried to tell me it was because it was hot outside anyway I'm going to have to buy a new battery thanks a lot I knew that's what it was
What is the resistance on the motor
I have a razor Ground Force electric Go Kart. Battery reads 24 volts wheels turn but not enough power to move a small child. Is it the controller?
My issue is I have no lights on my throttle for my razor drifter. Batteries are good. Any ideas?
So my son has a MX400 that seems to charge and takes off, but will only go about 1 mph. Do you think it’s the battery, or maybe the motor?
Battery. We have said it many times. 95% of the time the issue is old batteries. Checking voltage when the scooter isnt running MEANS NOTHING. Its under load where your bad batteries will show their weakness.
Can some help me please really Struggling with my e100 tried so many things just don't understand my battery are producing 24v tried changing the control module power rev reset button switch not receiving a click for the rely motor is reading 3.0 Resistance but not receiving any voltage or Resistant from the blue and yellow wires coming from the control module can some help me please would be appreciated thanks
What if you don’t hear a click in the module?
what happens if you don't hear the click? batteries are good motor is good but I don't hear the click coming out of the speed controller
How do you test a controller on a Razor 360?
got an e100 for my son and im not happy with the throttle. its either on or off. didn't no when i bought it that it was not progressive. how can i change this as its actually quite dangerous.
What brands of 12 volts batteries for Razor Ecosmart bike you recommend in 12 to 15 amps?
The ones we sell here at wildscooterparts.com. Its not just the brand. When we send batteries we charge then match them. Very Very important step.
My e100 doesn't click and doesn't go even when kicking off..bad relay? All other components test fine
