Crossed my mind, these scooters are getting a bad rep. Yet I saw a man in his 80's in the middle of the road on a mobility scooter and nobody bothered him. I need a mobility scooter. Four wheels. Comfy seat. Sabvoton or phaserunner strapped to it. A dragster style wheelie-bar and parachute on the back.

Just stick to name branded things. Never get anything you haven't done research on. I got the ninebot g2 and I'm happy with it. Hopefully mymax mods will do what they did with the first one where we can upgrade that model
Great work Andy 👌 , I got both my boys the G Booster scooter I was on it as dads do had to have a wee shot I came off k.o concussion for a week ( I have been off work for 4 weeks so far still not right ( landed 10half stone onto the head ) please take care on them bud , my sons now have a full motorbike helmets on 🤦♂️

Ah you make the wiring look much easier haha. I did a little wiring repair on my kugoo kirin m4 pro 500watt. The motor wires were shorting out, acting as a phased brake with the scooter on or off. So. I ripped out the LED side lights because that shorted out from the snow last year. Then heat shrinked the motor connectors where it was shorting out. Put it all back together. And now my tail lights are not working. Brake lights work. It's a wire mess cramped in a tiny little space. I don't know what wire is what haha. I just left it and use a rechargeable bicycle tail light accessory.
U think thats cramped, wait til u try adding more wires such as indicators and a high beam front light 🤣 best thing i can suggest, is disconnect battery, then rewire using labels on the wires, where the wires aren't using connectors add ur own (or solder n shrinkwrap). If not sure what the wires do, just follow them to see where they go. Only attempt if you are somewhat ok with rewiring.

I have an 800 watt Evercross H9 scooter with the 14.4aH battery, can I put in a 1000 watt controller to get the 200 watts more? Maybe just like 5 mph more without blowing the motor ??? Basically the charger has a live and negative wired into the connecter so it was the right fit but inside was wired different that's why they said use the right battery n charger
I got apollo ghost and won't 2 have a 72 volt battery put in not for speed two go further distances and longer rides is fine all so the charger port is 3 pin and like micro phone plug is there a better suggestion for better charger ports and a 72 volt battery that would fit
I second this. Please show us how to make more speed and torque on the evercross h5. They advertise 800w but the owners manual says 500w. It would be great to actually get the full 800w of power that it can handle

I'm curious if anybody might have an idea how hard it would be to mod what I am assuming is a cheap Chinese scooter? I bought what looked like a "gently used" Phaewoo that the original pamphlet claimed a range of 12 to 18 miles (somewhere in there), but I road about 2 miles to and from work one day and it was almost completely dead from a full charge. So I'm assuming at the very least it has a shot battery. Said scooter also seems to top out at like 5mph in slow setting and probably around 8mph in high setting. I'd like to bump that up as well. It is a hubdrive motor in an 8 or 9 inch wheel. Don't remember the supposed watts it claims, but I'd like to be able to go 10-12mph for a leisurely pace, maybe up to 20 ish for VERY short bursts just for fun factor, as well as being able to take some decent hills.

HI Andy. Nice job on that scooter. I'm running a sabvoton 72100 on a mid drive and the motor keeps ticking, sometimes a bit violently. Any idea what's wrong with it?
That sounds like it couild be the Bering are worn out so it can vibrate and Tik/ rub ore it couild be a simple little pease of mettle ore something stuck to the magnet on the motter

@@colinriches1519 it could be the current limiter if you are in too high a gear. My bafang motor will do that if you try and launch in the wrong gear, but I rarely hear it because I am quite good with my gear selection. There is also another low battery warning that will cause the controller to send a vibration signal through the motor which you can feel. I wonder how many people buy a Bafang BBS02B, mash it along like a noob by pinning the throttle at 50 rpm and then complain it gets too hot.
@@TimpBizkit Thank you. I should have said it's not a geared motor. Drive sprocket is 11t and rear is 56t. The motor is rated at 72v 3kw and spins at 6000 rpm, but I want to run it at 100 amps if the motor wires can handle the current. Operating at 40 amps (10amps lower than the previous set up) it still does it, so I don't think it's that. I've recently heard that the controller I bought is only meant for hub motors that spin no more than 1000 rpm, being a newbie I'm not sure if that's why. I've got so much to learn.

I've noticed that aswell ,didn't help with the pothole I hit that also took my kick stand clean off ,but is rips gets you where you need ,I'd just not ride out in wet weather
Interesting what you can do with these scooters. The motors can take quite a bit more than what they are rated at especially for a short distance. Great job.
İ would like to ask about the controllers, i’m going to change the controllers, i’m using 48V 21Ah 800WX2 scooter, i’m going to buy 2 controller and throttle set, but the 1000W controllers don’t fit in my scooter body, and the controllers which were in my scooter are really small and i don’t even believe that they are 800W they are really small, so don’t know what to buy🤷♂️

Haha, these hubs are pretty resilient as long as you don't do extended runs uphill at full throttle it should be fine. I've never burnt a motor believe it or not!😅
is it confusing to program it? i dont even know hat that means really but i fucke3d my bogist m5pro yesterday and its giving me an e3 error and i think it means the controller is nakerd. i dont want to just put it back in the box and forget about itand im glad iv seen this video but i dont really want to attempt it if its too complicated for a novice.

Hello Mr kirby its mr kirby here again, I have a solar p1 pro Tron addition, 60v 25A controller's on a 26amp hr battery, the company who has built these scooters has told me that they don't supply the .b. controller I need to replace my broken on , so solar scooters they will sell you the electric scooters but you can't replace and repair because they don't sell parts ???? This is bad business practice in my eye's What a total con . If I buy 2 new 60v controller's with the screen to match, with the hall censors on them Will it run just the way it was,
Hi fellow kirby! Yeah that does sound like a nightmare. You should be able to replace the controllers with alternative ones. Check the existing controllers for a part number and Google search it, they are just Chinese controllers in there anyway so something similar should work. Hope it helps!

What might have happened is the polarity was backwards not your standard centre positive it might have been reversed and you plugging your charger I caused a explosion
That would have been my first guess. The centre is usually positive. But that one time you don't check... Because I've accumulated loads of different chargers over the years, and my eyesight is just starting to fail, I have just started putting some tape or a sticker on the block with Voltage & Current written on and reverse polarity noted.

Just make sure the scooter is up to speed before you apply power rather than launching it off the line and the motor should take it.

What they like these scooters? Seem decent for the price, what’s minimum power I’d need for grass and slight hills? 800w?
800w will do it but if you want to have more fun you will want 1500w minimum

It was probably center negative always check, as for battery compartment just 3d print a 10mm extenter and buy another. Seal

Am finding them easy to mod, as long as ur pretty competent with electric wiring. With generic scoots, parts seem to be easily sourced too.

id say get a solid honecomb wheel (even better if you can get some suspension forks if it doesnt have suspension)

I've noticed that aswell ,didn't help with the pothole I hit that also took my kick stand clean off ,but is rips gets you where you need ,I'd just not ride out in wet weather

Interesting what you can do with these scooters. The motors can take quite a bit more than what they are rated at especially for a short distance. Great job.
Thanks David, yeah these hub motors always surprise me! If all you care about is short bursts they can handle loads more.
İ would like to ask about the controllers, i’m going to change the controllers, i’m using 48V 21Ah 800WX2 scooter, i’m going to buy 2 controller and throttle set, but the 1000W controllers don’t fit in my scooter body, and the controllers which were in my scooter are really small and i don’t even believe that they are 800W they are really small, so don’t know what to buy🤷♂️

You can actually do something against sparks when connecting a battery. Use an Anti Spark Switch...

Does anyone have the manual for the TF-191 NFC controller??? Finding it hard to find details as it seems new out??? Found generic manual for similar controller but the numbers don’t add up. Any tips for setting up the scooter first time regarding bolts and screws??? Should I use locktite on bolts u know i wont need access too??? Blue locktite so it can be undone with manual tools with a bit of force.

Haha, these hubs are pretty resilient as long as you don't do extended runs uphill at full throttle it should be fine. I've never burnt a motor believe it or not!😅

is it confusing to program it? i dont even know hat that means really but i fucke3d my bogist m5pro yesterday and its giving me an e3 error and i think it means the controller is nakerd. i dont want to just put it back in the box and forget about itand im glad iv seen this video but i dont really want to attempt it if its too complicated for a novice.
i have this bogist c1 pro scooter but i cannot mount the seat back. two scew holes are empy and the other 2 are with a metal which is blocking the scew. how can i fix this? i want to mount the seat
Hello Mr kirby its mr kirby here again, I have a solar p1 pro Tron addition, 60v 25A controller's on a 26amp hr battery, the company who has built these scooters has told me that they don't supply the .b. controller I need to replace my broken on , so solar scooters they will sell you the electric scooters but you can't replace and repair because they don't sell parts ???? This is bad business practice in my eye's What a total con . If I buy 2 new 60v controller's with the screen to match, with the hall censors on them Will it run just the way it was,
Hi fellow kirby! Yeah that does sound like a nightmare. You should be able to replace the controllers with alternative ones. Check the existing controllers for a part number and Google search it, they are just Chinese controllers in there anyway so something similar should work. Hope it helps!

What might have happened is the polarity was backwards not your standard centre positive it might have been reversed and you plugging your charger I caused a explosion

That would have been my first guess. The centre is usually positive.
But that one time you don't check...
Because I've accumulated loads of different chargers over the years, and my eyesight is just starting to fail, I have just started putting some tape or a sticker on the block with Voltage & Current written on and reverse polarity noted.
