Ah you make the wiring look much easier haha. I did a little wiring repair on my kugoo kirin m4 pro 500watt. The motor wires were shorting out, acting as a phased brake with the scooter on or off. So. I ripped out the LED side lights because that shorted out from the snow last year. Then heat shrinked the motor connectors where it was shorting out. Put it all back together. And now my tail lights are not working. Brake lights work. It's a wire mess cramped in a tiny little space. I don't know what wire is what haha. I just left it and use a rechargeable bicycle tail light accessory.
U think thats cramped, wait til u try adding more wires such as indicators and a high beam front light 🤣 best thing i can suggest, is disconnect battery, then rewire using labels on the wires, where the wires aren't using connectors add ur own (or solder n shrinkwrap). If not sure what the wires do, just follow them to see where they go. Only attempt if you are somewhat ok with rewiring.

Great video. I am trying to do the same for an Brose e mountain bike. Looking to get more power/torque out of the motor not just more speed. Do you have a video covering this? Or a direction to point me?
Biggest challenge is figuring out the sensor wiring. Some motors like the bafang m620 don't even have conventional hall sensors so you have to run in sensorless mode look online to try and find others who have taken apart the motor in question so you can prep before you rip it apart!
Bro reply and I can point you in the direction of the only video I've come across of an electrical engineer taking apart a batangas motor and frankinsteining a 500 to get a 750 motor but he got stung so had to rip the motor apart then he just goes way in deep to the point I was lost im not good with electrics .lol give me an engine ill take it apart and put it bck together no problem ,simple wiring problems ok ,but not got a clue with all the talk n walk stuff .
@@Crosshatch1212 thanks! I was thinking that there would be a huge opportunity for someone to figure out how to generate more power from a Brose or other mass market ebike. Hi mate I have a kugoo g booster I want to upgrade the controller but I have no idea where to start are you able to recommend a controller that would work please
What s the best way to make my kugoo g booster faster the motors are set at 800w per motor so total of 1600w but the motors they say are peak 1200 each wheel so 2400w will more watts make it faster ?
I'm not familiar with your scooter, but upping voltage and/ or amperage will result in greater output wattage. More watts, generally results in more power and speed. But you need to take many factors into account. Such as: 1. Can you battery supply the increased output SAFELY? Li-on and Li-po need to be treat with respect. They can explode causing fire and serious injury. 2. what is your motor rated & will it overheat? Usually you can put double rated wattage through them for SHORT BURSTS only. 3. Will your controller be able to handle it & what voltage are the internal mosfets rated at? 4. Will your wiring and connectors be up to the task of handling the increased current? Many things to consider. Hope this helps you.
@@18ct thanks its the kugoo g booster it says on internet there 1200w each motor as there’s 2 but there only 800w running to them from the controller I thought maybe a new controller that will run two motors and add maybe a remote control car battery that’s lipo 9v I think they are

Andy or anybody I got a hub motor with two leads coming out the hub. One side has phase and hall wires and the other side just has phase. It's a 12" 60v/2000w motor I'm just wondering do I need two controllers or both phase wires connected together then to the controller. But when I connect both together it runs like s**t. Any idea's would be helpfull because I'm tried of just going 55 kms I need more.
I would only hook it up with which type of controller you have, if you're controller accepts the hall wires as well just run that side and don't worry about the extra phase wires on the other side. If you're looking for a higher top speed a higher voltage battery will help as long as the controller can handle it, you have to have a battery and controller that can supply enough amps to push it to the higher speeds you want.
@@Baldys_projects Thanks that's what I thought don't hook up the extra phase wires. But I gave up and thought it was the controller I have a Yuyang King Controller. And the controller would not calibrate for some odd reason.

Have you thought about a 2 speed e-scooter? I saw a bicycle on youtube that you pedal backwards and it goes in a lower gear. It's like two free-wheels and one straight chain and one figure of 8 chain. I have an idea for a chain drive which is in one gear when the motor is spinning forwards and another lower gear when you reverse the polarity on the motor. It might be possible to install a controller that reverses the polarity of the motor when it senses a certain overcurrent e.g. you try and get it up too steep of a hill, then it switches into the lower gear (simply by changing rotation direction) until the current goes right down when the hill levels off and it's back into the high gear. I mean it can't be that hard - the auto reverse on cassette tape players does just that, plus there are some shredders that reverse to unjam themselves, so getting a scooter motor to reverse when it's overloaded and goes into the lower gear on the other freewheel shouldn't be too hard.
Ah you make the wiring look much easier haha.

Well done, if you have a 500w motor, this means the stock battery is 36v, what about the new bulky one?!! What is its voltage rating along with its 25 amps?!! How much did you pay for it?!! Can the new controller handle its power?!! What are the new controller specs?!!
What wire you need to cut to have no limit speed? Ive a vMax R25. Thanks!
Dark blue. On some it's bright blue. Regardless, if you have a blue wire.. that's probably it. Recommend you put an on off switch and run with it on normally and use switch as temp turbo.
Hi Andy would a phase runner work on a 48V 18.5Ah battery and single 800w motor would it run ok aswell thanks for ur time keep up the amazing work
Hello, Andy! I have a mototech 48v 2000w scooter I wanna put one of those phaserunners on but I can't find one. Can you give me a link to buy one?
I have an 800 watt Evercross H9 scooter with the 14.4aH battery, can I put in a 1000 watt controller to get the 200 watts more? Maybe just like 5 mph more without blowing the motor ??? And will it work with my display on the H9 instead of that circular Chinese style? Or will I need to replace it all?
i need a linke to the the controller link doesn't work anymore can you give me a link to the buy I controller that's 52 volts programmable
Hi Andy any idea how to derestrict the pure 2nd generation scooter
Was gonna change my controller but was scared on heating issues on the motor
Do you have the direct link to the controller I'm running a h6 model scooter
Hope your hand is OK. That molten connector must've hurt.
always XT60 Plug for me
Hi what controller you are using in this e-scouter? Can you post a link?
Hello Andy! Which parts are used for all of this?
How can you loosen the front shock absorber?
You should get an euc. I got a veteran Sherman a couple of months ago and it’s awesome. Also bought a mountain bike recently after watching your vids but riding it feels so dated and clunky compared to my euc now lol
I just recently got an e bike frst day out im hitting the cycle path that goes past my house at the back good 4 bike width if not more and about 30ml long goes right out to the sea side in Edinburgh. I thought I was the bees going along at warp speed of 20,ml n hr when this youngster goes past me like a bullet standing up on a scoot the bck wheel was all I cld see as it was that fat .lol what a time for youngster have good fun oh get in Andy discord im an amputee and had a few concerns about pedal height etc and was bying a super 73 that someone pointed out wld be useless if I ran out of batt as there horrendous to cycle as there pedals are goofy .got a good tip on the bike I got so it defiantly is a handy place .
I just learned what cockney speak means or is yesterday, so when i heard u say its got some beans i definitely had a lil cheese 😉✌️
Not just speed restrictors. Seems like people do it for Banfang motors all the time. Any engineers out there want a challenge I will fund it.

Great vid andy...modding for more power is why I subbed years ago :)
Hows the china importing going?
Thanks! We import less these days amd supply direct from China.
Fantastic work, these are the skills a country needs to innovate and advance, unfortunately £300 fine and 6 penalty points on current of future licence is too big a price to pay courtesy of the overzealous taliban tactics traffic police, our poor kids in this country are the ones missing out and paying the price and yet we expect them to compete with the rest of the world !
Should be legal beginning of December
Police told me, because scooter trials, end Nov 30th
If they don't legalise them,
All trial scooters will have to be taken off the road,
Rental scooters are going to be permanent
@@niteblaster1 so many people are using escooters. No one, not even the police, care. However, it may be different in London, I believe you can’t even take them into trains their.

Hi andy. lovin ur vids.
i have a duel 1000 w motor scooter. can the phaserunner handle the pair.?
many thanks in advance.
ROGER.
Hi Roger, you'd need two phaserunners unfortunately.
@@andykirby Hi Andy, any idea where I can buy a phase runner controller please? Cheers
Hello, and thank you for the explanation. I have a question, please, can I connect two motors to an electric scooter on one microcontroller? Thank you
No is the simple answer, for AC motors and contollers you need one per motor.
@@andykirby I own a Pogest scooter. If I want to add a motor in the front, what will I need? Knowing that I have a 48-volt 30-amp battery, can I connect them to the handle of one extra bed? Thank you
is it confusing to program it? i dont even know hat that means really but i fucke3d my bogist m5pro yesterday and its giving me an e3 error and i think it means the controller is nakerd. i dont want to just put it back in the box and forget about itand im glad iv seen this video but i dont really want to attempt it if its too complicated for a novice.
You can actually do something against sparks when connecting a battery. Use an Anti Spark Switch...
Yeah I've seen them in the RC world.
@@andykirby yeah, and also in the e-sk8boarding scene. Cost about €40,- on Banggood...
How do u connect your laptop to the controlla as need to adjust mine
Hi mate I have a kugoo g booster I want to upgrade the controller but I have no idea where to start are you able to recommend a controller that would work please
Is this possible on kukirin g2 max? 1000w motor
Awesome man 😁👍
HI great video, just wondering has anybody gotten spare parts for this scooter , my display is faulty and i having a hard time finding one. Thanks
There will be a discord chat room for that brother
What s the best way to make my kugoo g booster faster the motors are set at 800w per motor so total of 1600w but the motors they say are peak 1200 each wheel so 2400w will more watts make it faster ?
Won't go faster except you up the voltage since there is no gearing to change since you're using hubmotors
@@18ct thanks its the kugoo g booster it says on internet there 1200w each motor as there’s 2 but there only 800w running to them from the controller I thought maybe a new controller that will run two motors and add maybe a remote control car battery that’s lipo 9v I think they are
Has anyone figured out the way to change it from km/h to mph? It has the option on the screen… also has the cruise control but I don’t know how to activate it.
😉 *buena información amigo*
👍 y sin dañar al scooter

Hiya. Are you able to derestrict the PURE AIR PRO LR ?? Many thanks.
how much did you get it up to?
I've got a spare punctured ninebot max in my garage I've been considering doing some crazy upgrades to it as a bodge job project vehicle is it possible to do anything with it do you know? Hesitant as it runs via firmware but wouldn't be to bothered if it burnt out
id say get a solid honecomb wheel (even better if you can get some suspension forks if it doesnt have suspension)
Hallo from Germany
Great Video

Have the device reached 120 km/hr yet?
Any there is a way to stop the sparks use a resistor to charge the caps first.
I got apollo ghost and won't 2 have a 72 volt battery put in not for speed two go further distances and longer rides is fine all so the charger port is 3 pin and like micro phone plug is there a better suggestion for better charger ports and a 72 volt battery that would fit
Whats the software u was using?
Where can I learn build fiido from scratch?
wow Andy it drives like crazy....huh
