Amazing work! Totally can see how she can do it. Lots of rng on the turn order but the dance was fun to watch. Any chance you’ll do a video on the majestic traveler’s extra battles, as well as the true Vide? I attempted last night but oh boy. I tell you when the travelers resurrected, I threw in that towel and went to bed 😂
I actually haven't even attempted those myself, and I've heard some others put out some good guides for them, so I likely won't be doing any guides for the other fights.
@@DarrinNewcomer well I’d love to see you fight them with commentary even if you didn’t do a guide. I only tried battle 1 and that was it. Definitely a challenge I think you would like. I never played the first so I have no connection to them
Your videos helped, but more so to prove that alpion's amulet is almost essential for the 2nd phase on a team of 60-70s. I tried a lot of combinations on how to break galdera part 2's shield but with how hard and often he hits, his pressure was too high for you to do any significant damage to him without the amulet. Although I defeated him with the amulet, I didn't enjoy this fight as it didn't allow flexibility. You either have the amulet, or have to be cracked on stats.
Well I don’t use the amulet in this video where I solo phase 2 so…. It’s not that you NEED it. The guide I created was to give people the easiest avenue to win the fight, not to give them the “easiest fight but arbitrarily not use certain items”. I actually have other videos where I don’t use Alpione’s for the second phase as well, and have many unrecorded instances where I’ve done it. You can even use the same strategy I used in my level 55 guide without Alpione’s by just using divine protection to make everyone immune to Galdera’s attacks for an extra turn or two, allowing Hikari to get several more hits. You can also use Ochette on phase 2 to break Galdera in 1 turn if everyone else helps. In my DPS guide, I even show a setup where I use Throne and Osvald for damage phase 2. Peak performance builds also work really well, but either way, the goal is to ensure people have the highest chance of winning with the tools the game provides, at least for the guides.
To say that you NEED alpione’s for p2 is pretty silly, a throné at level 30 can beat it in 3 turns very easily without it, check my most recent upload for how I do it
@@willow6618 Yeah I saw your video. Your strat is basically the same as having an Alpion's amulet. Push damage high enough so boss it gets killed before it gets to move. That's my point though, there's basically 2 strats to this boss, push stats high enough so it gets 1shot or level high enough so you can tank through its hits by sheer amount of HP/def
@@DarrinNewcomer Yeah that makes sense. I'll check your other videos for runs without Alpione. I've looked a lot online and seen the vast majority of people fight this boss second phase with Alpione. I had a team of high 60/low70s and tried to fight it normally, as in letting the boss run through its attacks and adapting to survive/heal. Hikari's axe of lion's hunt was only doing ~20k. Soon as I put Alione's on, it was 60k with limb from limb. It trivializes this boss not letting it do any of its attacks. I also used divine protection on another run to bypass its attack, but I still had to use alpione for damaging it otherwise it would've just been doing 20k.
Hi! I have a quick general question if you see this. Did you hoard your jams (specifically Reinforcing Jams)? If you didn't, how and where did you farm them? Thanks!
Yeah I hoarded them. I’m very much a “this item seems OP so I’m not going to use it until I REALLY need it”. I tried to find a place to farm them, but couldn’t. I know you can farm refreshing jams, which give HP, BP, and SP, from stealing from any dungeon mini boss, but could never find the reinforcings anywhere
@@morganalafey2930 if you are just trying to beat the boss normally, I’d recommend checking out the level 55 guide I made that uses a more standard team where I actually talk through the fight on what you should be doing. This challenge video required a very specific strategy, hence using most of my reinforcing jams, but a normal kill doesn’t really require any, although using like 2 or 3 helps a lot. Definitely don’t need 15+ like in this video
It’s not. I explained it in the intro, but I did the first phase, then restarted the fight and swapped the teams. My goal was to show that both phases could be done with Throne so that’s how I did it.
@@fistoz4671 no I haven’t yet. I was playing a lot of rimworld when they first got released, and right now I’m out of the country for a few months, so I don’t have my PC with me. Might do them when I get back though
I literally only had 3 to work with…. Did you see the video? I used reinforcing jams for most of the fight, and all of those can be gotten through playing the game. I even mention this in the intro, but if you watch the fight, you’ll see I only use the 3 I have in phase 1 when I need HP to take advantage of peak performance. I do use another one in phase 2, so you could try to say “you used 4 total when you only have 3”, but I could just go get a 4th one.
I was about to say the same, items are a limited ressources. But, if he doesnt abuse the ''I have 1000 turns while you have none'' he wouldnt be able to solo. Imagine Temenos solo with no item, THAT would be interesting
@@pascalgagnon5423 lol, I swear if I found a way to solo the boss using makeshift weapons using regular grapes, someone would complain that “it was only possible because you used grapes”. As you can see in the video, I didn’t have unlimited rejuvenating jams, and all of the items I had anyone can get from playing the game. The boss also did get several moves, so it seems you didn’t even watch the video before trying to come up with a reason as to why it “isn’t impressive”. Using a characters kit and only gear/items that are available to everyone is not some kind of cheap exploit; it’s just being smart with the tools the developers provide. If you think it should only matter if you use a certain character under specific circumstances, you’re welcome to go make you’re own video where you do it the “right way” by trying to use Temenos. As in case you aren’t aware, trying to solo it with Temenos without using items wouldn’t be possible, as the boss would kill him on 1-2 hits.
@@DarrinNewcomer I did watch your video, and every other I commented. It is OBVIOUS the boss has turn because once you break it, it act first. You're kinda playing on words there. You said it yourself, you have to deal enough damage to skip some phase or you are ''punished''. Imagine developping a boss with mecanics just to have someone rush through it XD. The more video I look at (not only yours) the more people are just rushing to kill it, not letting the boss do a full round. I know that is the strategy and avoid being hit, especially with Hikari at 1hp, but mortal look at this and are like, thats not how the fight is supposed to go ... XD I think there is nothing wrong with using the ressources at your disposal, with Latents, Divines, Hired helps, summon, items etc. Nevertheless, I expected more diversity in the way of defeating the boss, which you did in a way, with level 50s, then you did this solo video , I think there is one without any subsclass .Even if you think I'm a hater I am not. It is true, that a kill with no items (Jams, jerky or Dragon debuff things) would be interesting. You would probably rely on Hired Help and divine more and wait for Latent Gauge to build themselves instead of always having them full. And I used Temenos in my exemple because I know it would probably be impossible, but that was exactly my point. You said it yourself, Throne is one of the only one to be able to do that, and that is because you ''exploit'' the thief latent + Cleric Divine so she can have multiple turns. Anyway keep on posting these its always interesting to see some diversity
@@pascalgagnon5423 Such pointless criticism. You're basically saying, "The only interesting way for a person to survive a barrage of gunfire is for them to face it head on without any items; if he does it with a bullet-proof vest that's cheating/cheesing." Your argument for letting Galdera 'go a full round' would hold more water if Galdera did NOT prevent revival and did NOT give you timed death if you drag the fight on for too long - his arsenal is meant to prevent you from turtling. At the end of the day bursting him is really the only way to go.
I can totally see why she was intended to be the vessel for Vide now.
Lol, for real
I found out about Cleric Throné on this fight and she carried me. And I also wondered if soloing the boss was possible. Awesome stuff!
Yeah I remember thinking Throne was the weakest character haha.

Thronè cleric as expected and what really bothers me is ppl sleeping on Thronè Cleric
