- With the Viper Mini lightweight gaming mouse, Razer might be on their way to dominating the peripheral market. They're now combining a low price of $40 with an ultra lightweight form that's great for small hands. For people with smaller hands, this could be the best gaming mouse of 2020 so far! Along with the Huntsman TE, standard Viper and other new gaming peripherals, it looks like Razer is dedicated to dominating the market.

I've been using this mouse for 3 days now. If you have a fingertip grip, don't look any further, this is the mouse to go.
As somebody that is looking for a good mouse on a budget, would you recommend this or the Glorious Model-O. I am thinking about this one because Razer is more trustable than Hlorious.
What does finger grip mean and do you guys recommend this mouse cause I might get it😁
@@Aldo_alba10 Aldo it's when you use mainly your fingertips to control/move the mouse. It took me some time to correctly identify the grip type that I use but this is definitely the one I'm using. If you're confused do a quick google search of the different mouse grip types. The main 3 are Claw, fingertip and Palm gips.
Hey, that's me!
Also called the "claw" configuration if you guys happen to see that phrase being thrown around when talking about mice.
EDIT: also you probably sold me because of this comment, by the way.
Been using this for 1 year and a half. so far no breaking its been holding up just fine. I would reccmoned for people who like fps and Minecraft because light clicks for faster cps and for fps easy flicks and you never get tired with this mouse

7 years ago i bought a razer deathadder essential 2013. the thing finally gave out today and the glowing logo glowed its last glow if that makes sense. i went onto amazon and found a replacement for like 40 bucks, then beside it found the viper mini for 35. I measured my current mouse and compared it to the mini and think they about the same size for some reason, and I have a fingertip grip on mine, so I think its a damn good deal for 35 bucks on amazon. big F for the deathadder tho, that thing was amazing. lasted 7 years without any issues until yesterday the cable cut out mid game, and I found the problem with it. the cable is severed from the USB input thing. big sad
I think you can replace it with aftermarket cables. Y'know, for old times' sake.
I love Dimitri's flex gameplay during mouse reviews
Being a 6'6" dude with super big hands, it is the first gaming mouse I bought. Having not experienced bigger and heavier mice before I though this was the standard size for all mice. After 2 years of using the viper mini WITH a claw grip (my first instinct was to use it with a palm grip, which is impossible) I accidentally bumped into the G502 in a tech store near my house. THE DIFFERENCE IN SIZE IS HUGE I CANT EXPRESS HOW IT FELT FOLDING A BIG MOUSE. I understood at what disadvantage I was in the last 2 years and I can't even use it anymore after fooling around with the G502 for 10 minutes. Long story short, PLEASE don't buy small mice if you have big hands and play with palm grip
Thanks for the info, same here a 6'7" with huge hands... Confused to buy which viper ( thought to buy the cheapest)... Maybe I look somewhere else...
@@b-man7991 I would suggest buying either a deathadder V2 or the Logitech G604, they are 2 of the biggest and highest mice on the market

Whats your hand size?
Whoever recently placed in the chief executive position at Razer is doing a great job at listening to the consumers. Apple has done it and now Razer is having it’s crucial changes, too. Poor asses like me finally have something to truly look forward to.
I’ve been using this mouse for a week and oh baby I’m never switching
This mouse is incredible. If you like a slightly smaller, very lightweight mouse with a premium build quality - This is the mouse for you.
mm711 is amazing. but the thing is what i found out recently is that the sensor position matters alot! bring your thumb back so the tip is in line with the sensor makes it feel more natural. the mm711 sensor is way too far back, making you have to use more energy to turn in a game
You should really specify the size of your hand (length and width) and not just say that your hand is too big to hold it. We need a reference to compare our own hands and estimate if we would be able to use the mouse :)
You could go into an electronic store near your area, try it for yourself..
@@alexchristensen5816 That's not true at least in my country (Spain). There is no place to try mice sadly :c
I may be a little late, but please don't buy the MM710. Mine broke after less than a year of using it because the cable suffered from internal disconnects. On top of that, the whole thing is creaky, pressing too hard on the left side of the mouse made the side buttons activate, and the mouse buttons were wobbly at best. The Viper Mini beats it in every single way, hands down.
Wow, I am having the same problem with the MM710. For a few days now it's disconnecting and reconnecting whenever I move my mouse -- probably the cable like you said. I'm buying the Viper MIni and am excited.
Still sad about the beaver :( but thanks for leaving 0:48 in :)

i just got this mouse and its incredible extreamly low weight i was shocked on how light it was and its good for hands that arent too big and small
i have very small hands and i cant stand the standard size mouse when it comes to gaming. i hope this one will fit me perfectly!
A flaw I found with the viper ultimate was when you pressed the m1 or m2 buttons at an angle the buttons would feel as if it were rubbing against a part of the mouse.
I tried a few of them and I do believe it to be a part of design and not qc issues. If you do press straight down with no horizontal force it should be fine.

yes, I'm holding a Viper Ultimate whilst waiting for a Viper Mini Ultimate hahaha
Duudeeee we need the viper mini ultimate!!!
are you going to buy the viper v2 pro?
basically I wanted a mouse I could throw into a bag and take with me on the go. For that, I did not want to get a mouse with holes in the shell because if im going to be putting it into a bag, and travelling, I know it will fill up with gunk. So for $40, 61g, and RGB this mouse is perfect for me.
This tracks well even on a bumpy comforter I love this mouse... You gotta get the Firefly version 2 mouse pad to go with it you'll never need another mouse again
I have this mouse and the mm710 and i have tried the model d- and full size viper. This mouse is the best for fps aiming full stop. The shape and light weight are perfect for my medium size hands and fingertip grip.
Yo what about d minus is it good tough ?
Omg I desperately need a Viper Mini wireless man. I love the Viper Ultimate shape, but I feel like the mouse is too wide for me to claw grip comfortably.
i just got this yesterday and spent the whole day playing with it. i thought the mouse was going to be smaller, but its a nice size for regular sized hands. i dislike the side buttons placement though, because i have to hold my mouse in a way that is uncomfortable to be able to use both of them. i thought the response time would be lower but its not like its super laggy, you know its a gaming mouse so i thought the respose time was going to be instant. but it think it might just be my screen or hardware thats making this happen. i never thought id find rgb so appealing, its so nice to look at the mouse in person. overall i think im happy with this mouse, i just think i need a better screen or something.
Does it changes colors???
Waiting for viper mini ultimate.

I've had bad Razer experience with three Razer Deathadders, all of them starting having ghost clicks and double clicks after a few months of hour or two of daily gaming. Hard for me to shake off the low quality feeling now. On the other hand, I've had my G502 since 2016 and it's still as good as day one
See, I've had Razer products for about 12 years, Lycosa D key died after 6 years, Lachesis died after 5, Blackwidow is going strong after 4/5 before replacing it with my Huntsman Elite, Deathadder death after 4 years, replaced with another until the Viper which is solid after about 9 months of whatever it is. Tiamat 7.0 v1 (second hand) fine after 3 years. As well as both an Onza and Sabertooth, Onza analog snapped due to my own stupidity in packing it with a monitor going to LAN and Sabertooth the RB button died after a year with cable issues. Honestly I get a lot of people have had issues, but nearly each product I've had has lasted well above what I'd expect. Just a shame that others like yourself have issues =(
get optical switches they won't double click. Latest Logitech mice are very likely to double clicking
I'm still using the 2013 blackwidow and it's holding up well. i do hear some bad things about razer's built, but this one at this price point probably worth a try since my 4 yo G402 is already double clicking
same. had 3 mice, 2 i had to rma thir one failed just after warranty expired , kraken failed just after warranty expired. so yeah...

I was using the G604 unitl it died a couple of days ago. I'm now using the G502 HERO while I await the replacement. I absolutely won't be using any mouse that doesn't have those lovely re-programmable DPI buttons as my main. They're very easy to reach on both models and are very useful in every game I play
What games do you play? Because the g502 is an absolute brick, it should not be classified as a gaming mouse.
@@Charles-tr5xn I play mainly FPS games these days and I was using a ROCCAT Kone XTD optical with all the weights in. Didn't feel mich of a difference when I took them out. When I had the 502 Hero I felt the greatest difference in the mouse feet and the shape. 502 tended to cramp the outer part of my palm below the pinkie because of its narrow hump. When I got the 604. The biggest difference was again the feet and the abscence of a wire. The weight is over emphasized IMHO because most pro gamers play at 800 or 400 dpi and absolutely throw their mouse around then tilt the keyboard when they run out of mousing space in tournaments. I simply played at 1600 dpi when I began to use gaming mice and gotten so used to it that I can't aim as well on lower sensitivity. In Fortnite for example my effective DPI is 314 (0.196 x 1600). I also need the extra buttons on the 502 Hero
@@YAAMW You play fortnite, which is very different from other shooters, in fortnite things change really quickly and you may need to swing around your crosshair a lot, but in other games such as csgo, you really only have to hold off 1 or 2 angles and that's when a low sens really helps because you can get headshots without having to compensating back for the high sens
I bought one and I love it. Though today, I started to have issues with the scroll wheel. Pages would jump up and down when scrolling. Had to blow some air on both side of the scroll wheel, seems to be fixed for now. Seems like a design flaw and I'm not the only one who had that issue!
I have the same issue with the deathadder essential, only a few months after use. Unfortunately I couldn't fix it so easily...
@@haywoodjblome4768 had to get mine replaced. It kept comming back...

Ca9ine C0mic yall I ordered the razer viper mini and it came in a couple days ago. my initial thoughts were that its a small mouse but you quickly get used to the shape. personally i like the shape a lot more than the mm710 shape as its more safer and the hump is located more towards the center than at the back. all in all i think its a really great mouse for the price and i highly recommend it if youre in the market for a small mouse.

I don't understand why mice are getting smaller? Where there are literally options for medium to bigger hands that weight just as little or even less like the G-Wolves Skoll, ROCCAT Kone Pure Ultra, new Pwnage ultra custom wireless, and others. Building a light weight mouse is clearly not difficult, but why not give options to those that don't have the hands of a 10 year old? Like different shapes for medium-bigger hands (ergo or symmetrical). And they can easily be made at weights of 70g or less
Usually I'm not even considering Razer products but this price is quite on point. If it was $100 I'd say there's better options, which is usual situation for Razer products.
Been playing with my chromebook mouse for a really long time now, hoping I can get the viper mini!
