    Absolutely beautiful! When I first saw it, I was like it was done with a CNC machine...but watched the video to see a hand carved masterpiece. The only thing that I would suggest for next time is adding stars on the back side so it can be viewed from both angles. Keep up the awesome works!

    This looks so great! I like to see the carving on the edges of the back as well. I see so many of these wavy flags that are just flat on the back. I think the wavy edges really help sell the appearance of being a real flag. Thanks for the great content. Keep it up!

    I make waving flags also but I use 2x4s, nice soft pine and even that's time consuming. I can't imagine how long walnut would take me.

      Yeah maybe next time, this was for an event....and I gave it away. Took 4 hours to carve the front ones, didnt have time to carve them on the back too.

      They’re all listed and explained before, and while I use them right in the video. There are 2 “bigger ones”.

    Did you carve stars on both sides of the flag ?

      No I didn't. It took 4 1/2 hours to do the one side, and that was enough for me, besides the time crunch to get the project and video done on time. Maybe if I make another one for myself instead of giving it away, I'll do both sides. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

      The only way to have done it would have been to paint them....and I think that would have made it look worse.

    Although this is a very helpful video and badass project, doesn’t matter how experienced you are should always wear face guard and use blade guards

    You know a Dremel tool would have made short work on the stars.

      @@rerod It may have been faster sure, but the stars wouldn't have been as clean cut, and points not as sharp. I've since got some better chisels that would cut time down as well.

    Just came across your video, very very excellent flag!! You are a truly fantastic artist. Two things, wear a mask so those shavings and dust doesn't go into your lungs (maybe you want to die, I don't know) and lose the dramatic theatrics - it sucks and doesn't do anything for you or your channel.       The stars took about 5 hours to carve out by hand. Those were one of the hardest parts.

      @@TCTimberArt wow 5 hours the flag you made is def one of the nicest I've seen if not the nicest. Luckily I'm up above you so I don't have to do the stars just 1 big maple leaf in middle of canadian flag. I'm doing it a little dif im going to cut the leaf right out and fill it back with red epoxy and lights. I'm saying this cause I think your flag would look good with stars done same way with epoxy and lights.
