don't worry, It's good to show the realism of travelling, that it isn't all pretty views all the time. It is hard work and maintenance sometimes. But it makes them views even more worth it
Interesting that you call what we Norwegians would call "The northern part" as "the western coast". For us the western coast is the part south of Trondheim towards Stavanger and Kristiansand. 😄😄
The north ("everything north of Trondheim") is so narrow for the most of it's length that there isn't an east/west

We eat porridge or "Grøt" as we call it. As dinner with sugar cinnamon and butter. We all grew up with it 😂

Risgrøt is a dinner dish, we like to eat it on Saturdays a bit early and then have some nice food in the evening like home made pizza or similar. It is also the number one choice for Christmas 😊👍
You are telling your story , sometimes it’s not just about riding 😃 I’ve fitted chains many a time without replacing the sprockets , I wouldn’t fit a new chain to badly warn sprockets but if they look ok. ….. 😃🍻

Norwegians might seem cold and distant. But if you've got an issue with your bike on your travels, they'll help ya :)
Its worth fitting a Scottoiler or similar automatic chain oiler to extend the life of your chain. Cheap ones start at £22 ish. Scott ones start arounfd £70 I think. Well done fitting the new chain, its a pain doing running repairs on tour. Loving the beautiful scenery ❤.
That rice pudding stuff (risengrynsgrøt) is really neither breakfast nor dessert, it's more of a lunch thing where I'm from anyway. With sugar, cinnamon, and a slab of butter in the middle. The leftovers can make dessert the next day if you add a little whipped cream, vanilla and sugar 🙂
I think I would consider it dinner in Norway. It's common food during Christmas.
Interestingly rice porridge with cinnamon (powdered) and sugar is a thing also in Finland. And especially on the morning of Christmas eve. You do need to use fatty milk though, to get it right. And its available all the time in supermarkets on the ready made meals -section.
@@KariLepola Same in Norway. It's best if you make it the day before, put it in the fridge overnight, then reheat it.
If you live on a farm, it's tradition to put a bowl of rice porridge out in the barn for the Fjøsnisse (barn gnome/santa), or he can get mad and start doing evil pranks, like destroying equipment, hurting animals and ruining crops.

if the chain had never been changed.. it turns from a quick job to a cunty job reaaaaaal quick.. we had to cut the chain off the first time needed on my bike!
For some reason, on the original chains it's almost impossible to push the pin through. They make the pins in some kind of carbon or something, and it just cracks. Completely useless. I'm won't even bother trying that next time. An angle grinder will do the job in 2 minutes.
