@@AmazingJAPAN-TH-cam Thank you for the info.🤜🏼
What craftsmanship. Very nice looking.
🎉🎉🎉 hello friend
As a guitarist myself, just watching this alone brought such peace. The sheer dedication and love placed into this instrument is astonishing, and also echos how you and your family live. Simply beautiful. Thank you for this wonderful video.
❤
Imagine the response.. of this beauty. Bravo, man!
Totally agree, excellent words selection you made to well describe my same feeling while and after watching...
@@estebangarcia9552do you like this
He has a guitar for 400,000 yen. Bro that's only $2800.00 This guy needs to raise his prices!
"Live slowly with my family" is such a beautiful sentiment.
I am 71 years old. I have played guitar all of my life. I majored in guitar and music therapy in college. I love being a musician. I have done many things in my life to make money and pay my bills and raise a family , but this man is doing it much better than I did! WOW! You have given me such deep insight into how to live, move, and have your being in this life! Carry on,my friend!!
I will watch your videos over and over. I hope knowing that there is a friend in Wilmot, New Hampshire in the USA gives you a feeling of support, comfort, satisfaction and encouragement. I look forward to seeing your progress.
❤❤ good morning friend
You are both doing amazing works: why possibly compare... an absurd part of our culture that only injures our soul- you are both wonderful flowers on different sides of the globe
I majored in guitar and music therapy in college. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 while people trying to get into universersity with the best grades and good careers you ,amor in basket weaving , and tale up space in university. I play guitar and play it for my own therapy. and I for surer did not tale up this is university. I studied aviation
The main and most fundamental principle of life is that no one lives their life the way you live yours. There is no most correct way to live "much better than" life. Every story has a beginning and an end. Every story matters. You don't have to be 70 years old to understand this.
❤❤❤
No one is thinking about war and struggle watching a beautiful creation come to life with a very talented young man.life is good when peace calms the savagery of human nature
Just think how many beautiful guitars had been destroyed in this Ukraine Russia war
I will never be able to look at a wall of acoustic guitars at a shop the same way again.
I bow to you, Hayase-sama.
You not gonna find these guitars on the shelf, ever.
@@TheNatural-hbs right 😅
Most of the time 95% of those wall of guitars are factory made.
I just absolutely raw dogged that whole hour with no subtitles or description and thoroughly enjoyed it
Beautiful guitar, beautiful craftsmanship, beautiful family, beautiful philosophy...
My aunt has one of his guitars
The sound is mind blowing and so different than mass produced instruments.
She learned on a regular guitar and then as a gift was given one of these precious instruments.
The sound is so heavenly it takes you into an entirely different world. ❤
You are an incredible acoustic Master
I wonder if she wants to sell it❤
I believe the Japanese to be the finest wood workers on this planet. I lived in Japan, Kyoto for about 4 - 5 years and during this time I never lost my wonderment and joy in looking at the fine woodwork of Japanese architecture and interior design. Absolutely love this side of Japanese culture. Thank you.
I would have to agree. Their joining work is fascinating. They have 1 of the oldest wooden buildings in the world. Horyuji is 1300 years old.
The wooden furniture, puzzle boxes, and little tricks like wood wind spinners, and things show how much more advanced they are at woodworking
Ive watched em do joinery, its an absolute delight.
I agree, they are fantastic at carpentry.
no matter how insane technology gets, there will ALWAYS be artisans that would rather use their hands and their time, and those are the products that will ALWAYS be worth infinitely more money. This is pretty incredible.
Exactly-even as tools to automate improve, there will always be demand for hand crafted works.
Все вам деньги ! Хватит наверное об этом! Весь мир погряз в сребролюбии и гордыни !
u can get a factory made one in China at 99percent cheaper cost, and probably play just as good.
@@giomusah2155 possibly. But that's not the point of getting a handmade one. Quality and longevity are one reason. Most things mass-produced at lowest cost will generally not have the lifespan or long term reliability as a handmade.
Also, mass produced stuff will be generic and near identical. Handmade (by professional artisans) will generally have higher quality in materials, fit and finish, durability, and with instruments, often sound.
There is also the unique element of a handmade object, as well as supporting a person and tradition.
There is a place for the cheap fast option. But it's not necessarily always the best. (And the same goes for the handmade artisan products).
@@giomusah2155 Yes indeed, just as it is with human beings themselves. There are mass-produced versions who bear no unique, creative provenance and possess no soul unless they are one day brought to life by another whose love imparts this within them. Better, however, to have been fashioned by love, and to have had this woven into your very fibre at your construction phase......because even if nobody with the necessary skills arrives to one day "play" you and showcase your innate, tonal beauty.....you will still be a "complete" instrument born of love.
That was so fantastic to watch! I've found in this video the peace, love and passion we all need. The time stopped for a while and the feeling was incredible! Thank you so much for sharing! Intense emotional moment!
The Japanese seem to have patience and dedication that is not of this modern world. The woodworking and metal working is a joy to watch and as an amateur guitarist and woodworker, it is mesmerising. This type of work is somewhat under appreciated and I hope you can sustain you and your family from this wonderful art.
That's why the East is so on the rise. We Westerners cram everything into 1 life. They don't, if it's not good, we do everything better in the next life, so less stress. In any case, they don't deal with it as spasmodically as in the West.
@@deutsche_lyrik he mean everything made by wood not only instruments.

They really do. A friend of mine (from Russia) lives in Japan. Once he told me a story. The calligraphy lesson which lasts 50 minutes and during this time you have to put down/draw one hieroglyph/sign. You can do it in one minute, or you can do it in 50 minutes. This is unthinkable in Western no-dzen culture.
This gentleman has a profession he loves, making beautiful guitars, has a beautiful family to match, is home for lunch and dinner with them and as they support him, he's also there to support them. He appears to be living most men's fantasy life. I'd just like to see him wearing some eye protection while he's working, so he'll never lose sight of what's really important.
God bless him and his family and thank you for sharing this video.
Mr Hayase’s wish has been granted. This luthier in Ontario Canada is Smiling at his incredibly high level skill. A pleasure to watch and see the methods we both use and the ones that slightly differ. I have a feeling that if knew each other we could be friends. Best wishes with much respect!

I spent hours and hours in Antonio Marin Montero's workshop to observe the whole process. He is a humble and very open-minded person despite being one of the best guitar makers in the world. Watching this video I found myself in the same type of atmosphere as in Granada. Same refined craftsmanship, same patience, respect for time and care. REALLY A GREAT JOB. Beautiful statement, i couldn't have said it better. 🙏
@iatsd the first step to beginning to comprehending zen is to stop identifying with thoughts and detach from living inside of the mind 🙏
Every craftsman needs a philosophy of life to create and make masterpieces! You are a MASTER of your craft!👍👍👍

This is the second time I watched Hayase build a guitar and I have the same exact feeling when I discovered him here months ago. I dream of having his life, the workspace, the life. Maybe one day!
I fix guitar for side income and I love doing it. Seeing the man carefully does those little things meticulously really resonates me because I want to challenge myself to be better than last time.
Wonderful video! Thank you!!
That's what it's all about. Getting better at what you do is the key.
I don't even want to think about what it would cost to buy one, but the lucky owners will of of these guitars will have this superb film documenting the amount of care, handwork, , craftsmanship and love that goes into their creation.
Starting prices from 400000 yens, about 2700 usd.
@@deamonlitethat’s ~650.00 usd per month… 😳 I think I would look into Japanese trade customs to be sure that I am paying correctly as I seem to recall that an artisan will set a price at what they think their work is worth with humility, and then you as the customer are supposed to counter with a price that you think it is worth… 20,000.00 usd is the extreme low end in the U.S.
@@deamonlite that is very reasonable, for an instrument of this quality built with that level of craftsmanship. How would a person go about ordering one of these?

protect Japanese perfectionism at all costs, this is beautiful
I could watch master craftsman work all day but theres just something about Japanese master craftsman that always stood out to me, maybe it's the upmost respect they show their craft but I just love it. This man has found the time to now only be a master craftsman but also a master husband and father as well, this was a pleasure to watch every minute of.
Stunning work, like how he embraces modern tools, techniques and materials but still uses very traditional Japanese hand tools as well.
And you can never have enough clamps!
As a guitar player and a man trained in cabinet making ( retired) this young man and his family are an inspiration and a breath of fresh air in a world that is obsessed with commercial mediocrity. Your depth of knowledge and understanding of your art defines you and sets you apart from others. You are a Master of your craft and I would hasten to add that your instruments will be sought after many years after your departure from this earth. Just as Stradivarius violins are today. May god bless you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing to watch. What a craftsman. It must be extremely rewarding. It's a lucky player that is blessed with such a guitar.
Perfect ribbons of wood fall silently to the floor announcing that beautiful tones are finding their way
I don't play guitar but it is so calming watching a master at work. The dedication and craftsmanship transcend boundaries. Thank you for the great video.
May you live slowly with your beautiful family in everlasting peace. You are an amazing craftsman and family man.
This video was absolutely amazing!!! A true craftsman at work, but more importantly a loving Family man. The world, as big as it may seem, just got a little smaller. Humanity is a Beautiful gift when shared amongst ourselves. May he live a long life and his instruments allow guitarists to produce music heard around the world for generations to come. Bravo!!! ❤
looks like a guitar that will last generations and would age and sound better with time. true craftsmanship and it's wonderful to see this in an age where everything is automated.

I was surprised, how late the bridge was attached. The spacing of the frets has to be (almost) mathematically determined and the distance to the bridge exactly right. The workshop is well equipped.
