Great video and thankyou. I managed to fit one after watching this. The screws/ bolts are 5.5mm, didn’t have a socket that size and found 5/32” fits perfect
This was such a ballache to squeeze into position to even start fixing the problem. Kept putting it off even when I had all the parts. Glad I have all the fan settings again finally.
Thank you so much for post this. I've fixed my daughters corsa which had exactly this problem. A 7/32 inch socket will fit that nut. The new one came with a 7mm nut. Thanks again.
Great video - I have to do the same job. Can you recommend a brand of resistor please, such as Topran, Febi etc? I think they all have that lug in the wrong place...
Ye I’m not sure what it is but basically in the footwell of the passenger side there like a black thing that almost holds the vacuum hold of it in and it had basically come out
Mines doing the same, Give the underside of the glovebox a whack and it might start again (for a few weeks) - there is a video on youtube of someone doing this and worked for me.
@@alan1607uk had to change the blower motor £75 stuck it in meself jobs a goodin. I hit it a few slaps but no joy. Apparently it's a common fault on them Vauxhalls... thanks for your reply
An absolute stupid idea for locating the unit, all it needs is that one bolt & possibly to slide fit the unit, but not those stupid flaps you have to press simultaneously, what moron thought that up. BTW the bolt size isn't 5 or 6mm although the latter is a loose fit & will do the job, it's actually 7/32nds of an inch, this probably because Vauxhall is, or was part of America's General Motors (GM) and as such the company used imperial (AF) fixings
Can be a nightmare job but you overcame the problem socket
Well done fella 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!

Thank you. You did did the hard work to make my. Life easier 😊
Great video. Saved me a trip to the garage. Thanks mate
Thanks for this. It is indeed a 5.5mm. luckily I had one. Still a fiddly job getting the resistor out....
7/32 inch socket fits best on the little bolt/screw. 🤗🤗
5.5mm too
Thanks very helpful video
Can you please tell me where the earth wire is for the heated rear screen on vauxhall corsa D 2008, ??

Your wring was also clearly burned out which is as common also, really needed to change the plug too
Sorry but I am confused to where you opened the bit to access the heat resisters, cause I though you need to open up the radio using release keys?
Hello 👋
It's behind the glove box.
Could it be the same issue if my window blowers don't work
Get a dremmel tool and cut a notch or slot in the top of that 5.5mm bolt head. Then you can use a screwdriver the next time you need to replace it.
My blower has started to make a noise on 1, and 2 settings, seems to blow hardest rubbish at clearing the windscreen.
That is a 5.5 …I struggled to get that screwe off as well
Changed mine but made no difference, still only works on setting 4. Any ideas??
Get hammer.........use hammer.....problem fixed 👁👄👁
So I tried this this did everything you did but still stuck on number 4 and 123 still not working any advice?
Might be an electric problem unfortunately

Where is the location of the resistor / wiring please?
do you need to disconnect battery
I didn't disconnect the battery
HadgarageUK Nor did I. 🤗🤗
@@jamesy1955 Me neither
Where did you buy?
Amazon
Good job
Do you need to take glove box out
@@kevinanderson258 No, but it does help, as you probably now know 👍
Did you file both sides off or just one
Just the one that does not match the hole.
What do you think the problem would be if its not workin on 1.2.3 or 4. Some times it works and sometimes not....Anyone plzzz

@@alan1607uk i jus did this and it started working on 3/4 ..
@alan1607uk better to just change it for a new motor get it done rite... save you knocking the f out of your poor car lol
@boots McLaughlin I agree, but a useful short term solution until you have the part

Not 1 of mine works any ideas
