So true about the looks. You know how some people look 'meh' online, but in person, they look surprisingly way better? Same situation for Crown. Looks pretty mediocre online, but in person, that 50K price tag all of a sudden makes a whole lotta sense.

Very true. The Crown in this color is flat out stunning in person.

We love our Crown Limited. Getting 45+ MPG, AWD will be nice in the slippery winter months. The ingress and egress height is nearly perfect. 👍👍

Part of the "regen" might be the proactive drive assist. It will slow you down if there are cars in front of you. Try turning that off and see if that helps with the regen.

Hmm, I wasn't aware that this particular model was equipped with that, but having driven others that would make sense

How do you feel about the comfort level vs the Avalon? I didn't get a chance to adjust the seats and wheel much but i found it cramped at 6'2 330#. I think I would cross shop this with a Venza as weird as it sounds.

I was fine with it, and I liked the Avalon as well. The seats are very comfortable and you can adjust them quite a bit. Plus Limited trim has memory seats which is nice.

I would get the Copper/Black two tone.

Totally could see that. Also a cool color.

i think the AWD is a huge difference between this and the Lexus....In central NY with 120 inches of snow a year, this could be the difference between a Lexus and the Toyota

Very true. And the upcoming Toyota Crown Signia combines that with awesome wagon style.

This car feels like Toyota is having an identity problem. It wants to continue making sedans but realizes most want SUVs. So it makes some middle ground thing. I am positive its future is no better than that Venza station wagon before it became a CUv. Speaking of Venza, bet your wife will like that more.

We both really like the current Venza, actually. Kind of underrated in my opinion. I was just really impressed by how freaking good looking the Toyota Crown was in person. It has loads of presence, which is nice in a shrinking sedan market.

Why is it so surprising? It's a Toyota!🤷‍♂

There’s a difference between quality and dependability and what makes a car or truck holistically good/desirable. We were surprised that the Crown was more than just a large, fuel efficient sedan, that it was actually desirable and a pleasure to live with (and stupidly good looking in person).

Yeah, I’d like to see what this thing could do when it’s a little more buttoned down
