There is a spelling error on the top left side; Bonus is written as Bonud :D btw, Thoughts and comments on the sPen? How is the palm rejection? Haven't heard much on that anywhere
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for letting me know! I see what you mean. Since it's embedded in the video, I'll just have to let it ride, but I'll pin this comment so folks don't get too rattled when they see it. S-Pen performance is great with this machine, I like it a lot. I actually have a few videos here on the channel about the S Pen performance, including how to prevent palm rejection. A quick search of "S Pen' on my videos tab should pull them right up. Thank you so much for watching!
Just got my new pc, and I went and did that audio thing… let me tell you, NIGHT AND DAY! The sound improvement was SO much bigger than what it sounded like in the video. Absolutely amazing. No wonder people say it’s shit when they haven’t toggled that setting. Night and day difference.
Thanks for stopping by! That's so awesome, congrats on your new machine! I'm glad that audio tip was helpful, it sure does make a HUGE difference. Like you said, night and day difference, for sure!
Concerning stand-by time, my tip is to use hybernate instead of sleep. In sleep mode the pc is still on and can even get hot, while in hybernation it's basically off but saves everything to disk. Resume time is basically the same as resume from shut down, since you probably don't have real shut down, but only fast startup. Fast startup, enabled by default, is basically hybernation without saving open stuff to disk (only restart will really shut down the pc). Both hybernation and fast startup do use the battery since they are the same and some vital components stay on, but much less than sleep.
I have also switched to hibernation from sleep. I remember it consumed around 6% per hour when it was sleeping, but I think that has been improved after the first firmware update.
I have a Book2 360 (not the Pro) on order, due in about a week. This tips tutorial will largely apply to that machine as well. This was extremely helpful, especially the very last tip about being patient those first few days, as there will be many updates that could bog down the machine. This was a very well done video. Thanks again.
As a not particular tech savvy upcoming college student, this video was a life saver, my laptop is really starting to be configured exactly as I'd like it, great video!
This is Wao!! You are the only one in entire TH-camrs that do a brilliant Job on review galaxy book pro, especially the sound and brightness settings, it is amazing, others are just saying a sort of trash on the sound without talking time to find out how it works, Good job man
Thank you so much for this incredible video. I've watched a lot of videos in my life and I'm definitely buying the Galaxy book pro 2 and it is largely largely because of your video. Hands down the best optimization and demonstration of the capabilities of any computer I've ever seen
Wow, thank you so much for the super nice comment! It's a nice machine, especially after you get it dialed in and all of the updates get installed. Takes about 2 weeks to get it fully settled in.
Hi, Thank you so much for this video. I already bought Ideapad 5 Pro which has a decent specs but after I came across this video I returned the Ideapad and change with Book2 Pro 360 with a very good deal price. So far so good! When I compared between Book2 and Book3, the differences are very slight and I think Book2 is still in the game. The Book3's screen exceptional gorgeous but Book2 still awesome. Thank you again!
Hi, thanks for watching and for your kind words! That's a smart move, I'd take the book2 pro 360 over the ideapad 5 pro all day. The book2 is still a great machine, not too much of a difference between it and this year's book3. The newer screen is a little nicer, but not by much. They're both amazing OLED panels, so they're at the top of the food chain and both look good. Congrats on getting one!
Thank you for these great tips, already applied many of them on my Samsung book2 360 (not pro, but they apply the same way, it seems :) Dolby, for instance, is a complete game changer! I was a little upset with the sound at first, but with Dolby on, it's so much better
Thank you so much for stopping by! Yeah, that Dolby setting is a big one, it's a night and day difference. Hope you're enjoying your book2 pro 360, it's been pretty solid for me so far.
Man.. You're not kidding about the audio difference with Dolby turned on. I got my new Book2 a couple days ago, just turned Dolby on now. The increase in quality is wild, just like you say sounds like a different machine. Thanks for the tip!
Congrats on getting one, it's a pretty awesome machine! Yeah, that Dolby thing is a big deal, it makes a night and day difference. I'm glad you found this useful, very cool. Thanks for stopping by and watching.
I was thinking of returning after 2 days of use because of it getting hot, fan constantly running, and slow performance. Your last tip of being patient was a real help. Definitely keeping it. Thank you.
Also if u are just a light use i.e. only surf web, make notes like nothing demanding go to edjt power plan and change the max processor state to 99% this disables turbo boost and ur laptop will run much cooler and get better battery backup but yes at the cost of some performance but still that drop wont matter in light day to day tasks. Not recommended for editing or coding.
Getting this great piece of tech on Monday and I’m super excited. New tech is what makes my days worth going through. I was wondering though, wouldn’t it make more sense to use the button to turn off and close the lid for sleep? Or maybe that’s just in my head. But I assume both ways work so I can use the way that sounds better to me.
Wow man, hats off. You provided a amazing informational video and even replied all the comments. A great content creator you are. I am also buying this laptop (13.3 inch) next week. I am a bit more concerned about heating cuz it's smaller than the 15 inch version. Also don't know if it has the same number of fans for both sizes, it's not mentioned anywhere.
@@prince_kamal Exactly, you got it! I would personally consider the i5 version if you're wanting the 13" model. You'll get about the same performance since it won't thermal throttle as fast, and it will run quite a bit cooler in general. If you end up getting the 15" version with 2 fans, go with the i7, all day. They never make it easy when it comes to picking out options, lol.
First, thanks for the video! Super helpful and completely agreed on all pointers! Had to figure most of them out the hard way, but you definitely saved me some time on a couple. RE: The screen/lid weakness issue between the hinges: I was toying with the idea of cutting a thin strip, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide and the same length as the inside distance between the hinges, of 1/8 inch thick neoprene (with the 3m backing) and placing it on the bottom half of the clam almost right out to the edge. I'm not a fan of doing that type of stuff, especially with such a clean looking device, but with the placement, the fact that it would be a very thin strip, and the ability of that stuff to stay stuck for a long time, I feel like I could get away with it without it being completely horrific in terms of aesthetics. That said, the question here IMHO would come down to whether the issue is purely the result of the gap between the screen and bottom, or if some of it also comes down to a weaker screen or poor hinge design. If it's the former, even just primarily, a carefully cut and sized piece of cushion that fills that gap should all but eliminate any potential problems. But if the screen is maybe a little weaker than it should be or the hinges are somehow putting undue pressure in the wrong places, I'm afraid that adding any pressure, even if minimal, spread out, and "well cushioned", could potentially add to the problem. Just curious what your thoughts would be on this or if you've seen/heard of anyone trying anything similar. Thanks again for the info!
Thanks for the upload. Am a bit more familiar with my new machine now. Amazing how something as simple as moving the Taskbar can improve user comfort. I knew something was not quite right about my screen but couldn't put my finger on it...
Awesome tips, especially Dolby and God mode were great enhancements. Intel was also good, since I changing from smaller screen, I tough the resolution would be as good. Also the shere number of updates was confusing. Perfect, thanks man.
Love these tips! Thank you! I cant seem to get samsung notes to pop up on my desktop like you were able to access them. Can you show how to set this up, please?
Hi Alicia, thanks for stopping by! You should be able to hover the s pen a couple millimeters away from the desktop then click the s pen button. That should cause an Air Actions menu to pop-up, and one of the options is Samsung Notes. If you don't see Samsung Notes as an icon, you can edit the available icons right in the pop-up menu. I'm happy to help further if you're still not seeing it.
@@Shankosut05 It's great for that use case, especially given the s pen for note taking. It really is incredible for that purpose. The long battery life is nice for students too. The only real concern I'd have is with durability. You want to be pretty careful with it since it's so thin and light.
@@Shankosut05 I think you'd be fine without one, but, it's very nice to have. Something like a sleeve that you could easily put the laptop and s pen would be ideal, then put that sleeve in your main bag or carry it separately.
Thank you so much for making this video I took every tip you had but the samsung notes isn't popping up like yours did. I'm totally lost when it comes to this laptop since it's the 1st one I've ever owned! Could you make a tutorial on how to set up the short cuts & apps & just basic stuff pretty please? 🙏🏽
You're welcome, I'm glad this was helpful. I'll certainly consider it, that's a great video idea. I'm always happy to help with one off questiosn as well, feel free to just leave them on a random video, and I'll see them in youtube studio. I don't often see replies to messages, but I always get the original first comment you leave. Hopefully that makes a little sense, lol. I remember putting out a video showing folks how to use all of the quick actions and commands that you're referring too, but for the life of me, I don't recall what video it is! Oh my goodness, I'm starting to lose to track of my own content! To get the pop-up menu to show up, you'll want to hover the pen just barely above the screen, and then press the button. Somethings it takes a couple times, and often there might be a small delay, but it should show up. If you still don't see it, you can make sure it's enabled by opening up Samsung Settings from the start menu. If I recall correctly, there's a toggle on of those screens for turning the air commands on and off. Thanks again for stopping by and for the nice comment!
Thank you so much for watching! I'll create a TH-cam Short tomorrow for you that will walk you through it. There's 2 easy ways, I'll show them both for you. I'll whip it up on my lunch break tomorrow, so it should be out in about 12 hours or so.
Thank you for the great video, i did all what you showed in the video and i must say it improved my experience. Just concerned about the flex in the middle of the screen. in the video section of handling, are you pressing the middle part with some strength..? can it withstand some pressure or not? have you done some durability test for that part? i am concerned because i keep it in a laptop cover and sometimes forget which side to pick it from.
Hi, thank you so much for watching! I wouldn't worry much about it, especially if you're a careful person. I grab it from wherever too, it doesn't matter really as long as you don't squeeze it too hard. When you pull it out of your bag, maybe just grab it a little off center, so you're not grabbing directly in the middle. Then you won't have anything to worry about at all. I've been using this laptop a lot lately, it's become my main editing workstation since my desktop PC recently died on me. I grab it from weird angles all the time, no issues at all.
Hi! Thank you so much for the tips but I have one question please. I got this machine last Wednesday so less than a week but I don’t know if the laptop came with some issues or I’m just not used to it yet because I got some kind of bugs out of nowhere with the screen. I mean I can use it for a few minutes and then right after the screen starts bugging and I can’t even use the keyboard 😕 is it because of the updates or I should see someone who can fix it ? Please I really need help ! Thank you
Hi, thanks for stopping by. I'm afraid that doesn't sound right at all. Even if updates were pending, it shouldn't behave like that. Check windows updates and Samsung Updates to make sure you have the latest video and BIOS updates, and make sure it's all up to date. If that doesn't help at all, I'd suspect it's a hardware issue and should be checked ou.
When plugging in to charge what % should I plug it in and should I use the battery saver And what are the charging color is red or amber battery needs charged I know green is. Full charged battery
Hi, thanks for watching, and my apologies for the slow reply. I would definitely keep the battery saver feature on if you plan on leaving it plugged in often, it will lengthen the life span of the battery. Like you mentioned, green is full charge. Then amber is when it's charging but not fully charged yet, and blue is when you're off AC power but the device is on. I haven't seen it turn red on mine, that could be for when you're very low on battery. I'm not sure, as I rarely let mine dip below say 20%.
I love this device ! But I’m facing issues with some scratches on the screen due to the S pen which don’t clean when u wipe them with a microfibre. Is there anything that can be done?
Hi, thank you so much for watching! I love it too, it's been a great machine. Hmm, you definitely shouldn't be getting any scratches from using the s pen. It can leave some smudgy lines if you apply a lot of pressure, but usually those can be easily wiped away. Perhaps inspect the s pen tip very closely, there might be a small imperfection with it, or uneven wear that's causing scratches. I would personally swap out the s pen tip before using it any more. Scratches aren't good, you don't want to start accumulating them. To help with the scratches you already have, try first doing a basic cleaning with a wipe designed for laptop screens. Then after it dries, and nice wipe down with a microfiber cloth. Make sure to press lightly when doing doing all of this and take your time. It'll help with all of the microabrasions and small scratches.
Nice! It's a great machine, especially after it gets all of its updates. It'll take a few days for it to get them installed, then it's smooth sailing. Congrats, and thanks for watching!
Just a heads up for anyone interested in Dolby access. You now have to buy (£14:24 GBP) 'Dolby Atmos for Headphones' to enable any sound settings. Unfortunately, it seems they keep finding ways to dip our pockets even after purchasing the initial product (laptop).
Hi, thanks for watching! I have quite a few videos on screen mirroring and second display, but none that focus on laptop to laptop sharing. You have a ton of options though. TeamViewer works great as well as the free version of AnyDesk. You can also setup a RDP connection if both are on the same network, which will be the case when you're at home. I think you can even use the Windows Key+K/Windows Key+P to miracast from one to the other. Happy to help further if you get stuck.
I would say close lid for sleep and press power button to hibernate. So at end of day you press the power button as if you are turning off and you get better battery on standby. Turn off if you do not expect to use for a few days like Friday's. That is one thing I love about my MB Pro 13 M1, I can leave it for weeks and it will lose very little battery/per day and be awake as soon as you lift the lid. Looking forward to some good WOA chips and MS to fix the software for ARM.
Thank you so much for watching! Yes sir, you can mix up those settings to work however you prefer them to for you 👍 I love MB Pro's, I'm jealous, ha ha. I hope you're having a great day!
Found this very helpful as I bought a new SGB2 360 last week. Quick Q: My startup is significantly slower than what you showed on your video (from power to login screen). Any suggestions on how to speed this up?
Hi, thanks for watching! It's most likely because I've had mine for a while and all of the updates have been caught up. It gets a lot of updates the first 2 to 3 weeks, and can be a little sluggish at boot up while it searches for more.
Hi, thanks for watching. I doubt it, I'd hope they account for folks leaving it in that mode. I personally stay in Optimized because I'm forgetful and lazy and end up never switching out of it.
i bought this laptop, 16gb. 1tb storage, intel i71260p. I really do like it. got the open box at a decent price. Just don't know if i should keep it. I'm enjoying it and all. But, don't know if I'm willing to spend what I spent. $950 before taxes. I tend to get buyers remorse on everything. I did the same thing when I bought my surface pro 6 nearly 5 years ago. What should I do?
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Well, at that price, I'd think I'd keep it. That's a $1,000 for an Intel 12th gen with an OLED screen, I think you'd have a hard time beating that price point. There's always going to be better next year, but then you'll have to pay that "new Item" price.
Nice video thanks! I do have a question. If I change the battery save settings like you and press the button for getting in to sleep and close the lid after that - the system shuts totally down. It seems to go into sleep after pushing the button and then after closing the lid it shuts down completely. Any Ideas why? I did it exactly the same way like you.
Hi, thanks for watching. It's been a long time since I've made this, but if you want the opposite, just set the power button=shutdown or sleep, and the close lid action=hibernate. If I recall correctly, the power setup mentioned in this video was for those that tend to leave their lid open often. There's no harm in switching those settings up.
Awesome, thank you so much! I plan on putting out at least another 3 to 4 GB2 Pro 360 videos before we get to Fold 4/Watch 5 season next month, and I'll keep them coming as folks put in requests. I promised someone a video editing performance video for this machine, so that'll be coming up soon. If there's anything else you want to see covered about this machine, please let me know.
Hi, thanks for watching! So to access this menu, you don't want to actually touch the screen. Just hover right above it, like 1 or 2 mm, then press the s pen button while hovering. Then the air command window should pop up, and you should see the S Notes option there. If you don't, there's a Settings icon that lets you add more commands. But, the S Note option should be there by default, you shouln't have to add it. Happy to help if you're still stuck after trying this.
Thanks for stopping by and supporting the channel. You sure can, there's a dedicated button on the Function row for turning on/off the touchpad. Press Fn+F5.
hey! not sure if you'll see this but how long have you had this laptop now and how has the performance been? looking to get it and im concerned about the longevity considering the price. Also, which model did you get?
Hi, thanks for stopping by! I've had this machine since it was released, I think I got delivery on March 31st of 2022, something very close to that. I also had last year's model and used it without any issues for a solid year before getting this one. I use it nearly every day, say 6 out of 7 days of the week. It's been solid, no real issues to report. I did have one time where my fingerprint reader stopped working after an update a while back, but I just had to re-register my prints and it started working fine again. That's the only real issue I've had with it. Performance is solid. I used this as my main editing machine for a solid month when my desktop PC went out on me (SSD went bad, easy fix), and it handled it well with proxies. I've done some light gaming on it (GTA V and OverWatch mostly), and it actually holds up pretty well. Some dips in FPS at times, but nothing that would make you want to stop playing. For day to to day stuff, it works very good, no issues at all. This model is the maxed out 15.6" version. So the 16gb, 1TB with the 2160P i7 12th gen chipset. This one is the graphite color option, I like it a lot. It hardly picks up any fingerprints compared to last year's Navy Blue option that I had. Happy to answer any other questions you may have about it.
on tipp 1, you got it reverse. just make the power button shut down, and have just the lid be sleep. thats feels more right and accomplishes the same. basicly your tipp is to shut the thing down once in a while :D
I know what you mean, was just showing some alternatives that are possible. But yeah, that's the way to do it, for sure. Thanks for stopping by and watching!
Hi I really enjoy your videos. But I am really anxious to take full advantage of everything this machine has to offer. I've had mine for over a year and I know I haven't even scratched the surface. of this Book 2 Pro 360 As a matter of fact it's the same with my S9 tablet and my Fold 4. Do you know of any videos that actually give you a tutorial of how to get the most out of this machine?
Thank you so much, I appreciate you. I know what you mean, that's one are where none of us content creators really do a good job. I have a few miscellaneous how-to's and tips and tricks on my channel for all of those devices, but none that actually walk a new user through setting them up and getting the most out of them. Sounds like you just gave me some good video ideas!
@@RADERTECH I got it for about $600 bucks when the 2 came out. Samsung gave me a 40% veteran discount, plus they were on sale to clear stock for the 2. It was my first new personal laptop in years, and I couldn't be happier. Fits nice with all my other Samsung stuff - Note 20 Ultra, S22 Ultra, Tab S7+, buds Live, and buds Pro. You can't beat the Samsung ecosystem especially when you factor in the great trade ins.
Hi Kenny. I'm not sure really, but there should be quite a few recording apps available without any time restrictions. I just did a quick search for you, and here's a list of options to check out that are free... EaseUS RecExperts. CamStudio. TinyTake. VLC Media Player. ShareX. QuickTime Player. OBS Studio. Free Cam.
I'm concerned about using in tablet mode. Do you have any tips on that? Feels so weird to rest the keyboard on different surfaces. Won't that damage the keys?
I know what you mean, it's very strange feeling at first. I personally rest mine on my desk, instead of trying to using it hand-held. Thankfully the keys (except the fingerprint scanner button) don't respond to input. It would be nice if there was little nubs to lift the unit up a little when it's resting on the keyboard like that, it would have helped prevent any scratches and whatnot to the keys.
Howdy Ryan, thanks for watching! I'm pretty sure that all of the presets except the one labeled "Voice" use the spatial setting to some effect in the background, even though the option isn't there. The Voice setting definitely doesn't though, I can tell because the vocals are centered and focused instead of being spread, so I can tell for sure it's off in this mode.
Hi, thank you so much for watching!. When you game and do video edits, and can get hot at times. But for what you're describing, MS Excel spreadsheets and web browsing, you'll have no issues at all. It doesn't even get warm for me when working these types of tasks, so you should be good.
Hey all, please help me with these if you can Im really confused between samsung galaxy book 2 pro and the 360 one . Im looking for 15.6 in both models. My main doubts 1. Do they both perform the same if the configurations are same. Like CPU and RAM. 2. Can any long term user point out the performance of the hinge of both of these laptops. 3. Is the dolby available on both of them. Like i saw the 360 at bestbuy and enabling the dolby was just superb . Would that be the same for book 2 pro. 4. Can long term users also confirm the heating of both of these. I will mainly use this for productivity and coding. I dont game a lot . But consume a lot of online content .. videos etc.. 5. If i ever choose GB2 pro over the 360(with same cpu and Ram) . Am i losing just the touch screen?? Or are there more differences Considering how long term users tell their experience, i can really sacrifice on the 360 and touch screen and go for the GB2 pro
Hi, hope you are doing well. So I just watched this because I havent had my laptop for so long( had to send it in for repair). So I didn't Know any better and I ended purchasing Mcafee! I got a discount so it didnt cost to much but still. Do you recommend I uninstall this? Sounds like its not good haha. It has been a while since I have owned a computer.
Hey Michael, thanks for another visit! Mcafee's fine if you've already purchased it, it's mostly the nag screens for those of us that didn't that drive me insane, lol! A lot of people love it, and if you're already familiar with it, then I say go for it and keep using it.
@@RADERTECH well, I was really into computers years ago but I am just now having to learn everything all over again, I didn't even know how to get into control panel that's how bad it is, I might sign in and use it but I am most likely going to use windows defender like you suggested. Thanks RADER TECH for a really great video and thank you so much for all the hints, most of which I had no idea of at all.. Life changing tips for a music composer like me ;D You´re the best!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for stopping by, I appreciate you! A fellow music fan, awesome! I'm not sure what DAW you use, but Reaper works real well on this bad boy. Pretty low end to end latency, even with a bunch of VST's running.
@@RADERTECH There's unfortunately too much garbage on youtube etc so when you find gems like your videos it's just a joy! 😉 Hmm I've actually never used Reaper but I've heard its really good, I use Studio One and has always been using it and sometimes it lags a little when I use big plugs like Superior Drummer or EZKeys but with performance mode on theres no problem at all and the CPU doesn't run through the roof so once again, thanks for an awesome upload and keep up the great work my friend🥰
Hi RADAR TECH, i purchased this laptop a couple of days back and one thing i noticed id that it heats up pretty quickly!, even during normal browsing the bottom get really hot (in optimized mode). do you know the reason? can this issue be solved?
Hi, thanks for watching! Congrats on getting it, it's a really nice laptop. Being new, you have a bunch of updates from both Samsung and Microsoft that will get installed the first few days, and those fans and the heat will be on the crazy side for the first week or. I had strong concerns at first too, but after a week or 2, it completely stabilized and rarely gets hot at all anymore. The only times it heats up now is when I render long videos or do some heavy gaming, of which is to be expected. Give it a little time, and check the Samsung Update app and Microsoft Windows Update frequently and get everything installed as soon as possible. Once you do, more updates will come. After a week or so, it should be smooth sailing.
@@RADERTECH thanks for helping out, I have another concern, while opening the Samsung updates app it shows download drivers, but there are no driver options available for download, then a pop up is shown saying this model can be supported through a Windows Update! But I have already installed all the available updates. I tried contacting Samsung service Center, but they haven’t responded since the past 2 days. Did you face a similar issue?
@@rishikantjena4763 hey man, what size is your book2 pro 360? 13 or 15? Also hows your experience after 3 weeks. Did it get better on temperature regards?
@@prince_kamal hi Prince, I purchased the 13” version, it gets slightly hot while doing normal tasks and quite hot during intense tasks. For some weird reason my Samsung update app doesn’t open, it says “this model can be supported through a windows update” every time I try opening it, the same pop up was shown even after my windows got updated recently. Overall it has been good, display is great, performance is good.
Hey, looking for laptop and looks like samsung fills all the requirements, need for coding & daily office use....hoping it last for 3-4yrs. i7,12gen,16/512,decent battery, good display. Appreciate it..!!
Hi, thanks for stopping by, and my apologies for the slow reply, I've been away sick for about a week, so I'm a little behind on comments. It works great for coding, that's what I do for a living. Mostly VS.Net with SQL Server, some Azure mixed in as well. It has no problem with handling IDE's and compiling.
Hi bro, I bought the galaxy book2 pro 360 a few days ago and now it keeps getting turned off automatically. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
Hi, thanks for watching! So is it turning off while you're in the middle of using it, or is it after you walk a way for a few minutes? It has a very short screen timeout, I'm pretty sure the default is 4 minutes. This is to help protect the Amoled panel and save battery life. You can change that in the power saving settings.
Hi, thanks for watching! Please make sure the folder is named this, exactly: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} It should work fine, this is an old trick that's been out for a long time.
Very nice video. Just got my glaxy book 2 pro 360 13.3 inch with i5 12th gen today. so far i am very happy with it if there wasnt one thing. I find that my Ram usage is just too high. i know that i have only 8gb but 60% without anything opened on desktop is too high. i tried like everything, deleted unwanted apps and services, ran a few memory tests (seemed fine), deleted unwanted processes, clearing the ram doesnt even help for short period. If i have like 2 chrome tabs open and maybe another not very intense software ram usage spikes sometimes and it gets kinda laggy. do you maybe have an advise for me how to fix this? or just give the system a little bit more time?
Hi, thank you so much for watching! I would give it a few days at a minimum before worrying too much about. There's a lot of updates that get installed the first few days, and it takes a while for things to "settle down". My book2 pro 360 ran like crap for the first week or so, and it got very hot often. But after several updates and restarts, it stabilized nicely. Check on Windows Updates and for Samsung updates using the Samsung Update often. But please do keep in mind that 8gb on a Windows 11 machine is the bare minimum you should be using, so RAM usage will likely always seem a bit high. I really hope every company makes 16gb the minimum going forward on win11 machines.
@@RADERTECH Thank you so much for the quick feedback. I´ll keep checking for updates ;) yes after i got it 2 days ago it went really hot for the first few hours but now it is already so much better. Thought that too, 8gb is a little low bc windows 11 is very Ram demanding. i just wanted the 13.3 inch one bc i needed sth very handy. I think i can still manage the 8GB just need to be a little careful. Hope that the next ones will have atleast 16GB min even for the small ones, or at least they could make it upgradeable. Anyway thanks again you just got a new sub :D
Yes, a few folks have reported screen cracking on the book2. The way to avoid it is by not grabbing it between the hinges, as there's a lot of flex in that area. You also don't want to put it in backpacks and bags that have a lot of books next to it, the pressure could crack the screen. But under normal use, no, no issues. Thanks for watching.
My computer after 1 minute just goes to sleep or locks. How do I change this? it really makes it hard to right notes or do anything if i leave it for a couple minutes.
Thanks for watching! Open up the Start menu, and start typing "edit power plan" and pick that option. You can change how long it takes for the screen to go off, the default is 4 minutes.
Thank you for the great tips. Just wondering if we may set the top row of the keyboard to multimedia keys as default when booting up Windows 11, rather than every time we press Fn+F12 to lock the keys. I cannot find any settings in the BIOS!
Hi, thank you so much for watching! No, I'm afraid not. I looked into this for someone last week with no luck. Thankfully it only takes a second to toggle it on for the remainder of the time it's powered up. I honestly rarely ever turn mine off or restart it, except for when it does updates of course. It would be nice to have the option though, for sure. I hope you're having a great day 👍
Hi, thanks for watching! I'm happy to help. With the screen on, hover the pen a short distance away from the screen, within a few millimeters of it. Then press and release the button and a pop up menu that includes Samsung notes should appear. If this doesn't work, please let me know and we'll check on a couple of settings.
Sure does. All tips except anything related to the s pen. I haven't watched this video in a long time, so I'm not sure if I mention any or not, lol. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, you can do this with any 2 in 1 laptop like this one. The best approach is to create 2 shortcuts, one that disables touch input, while the other re-enables it for you. This way you can switch back and forth. Here's the instructions, I "borrowed" this from reddit, lol... How to: Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager Expand Human Interface Devices and identify you touch screen which should be named HID-compliant touch screen. Right click it and select Properties. In the Driver tab hit Disable Device and check that your touch screen is, in fact, disabled. If that worked then click Enable Device to get your touch screen back and continue. If it didnt work then something has already gone wrong and you should abort. In the Details tab, select Device instance path from the drop down menu. You should see a value listed below - select it and Ctrl-V it into notepad or where ever. It should be some funny bag of characters like HID\ELAN345&BLAH\3&3453456843. Right click on your desktop and select New->Shortcut In the box marked "Type the location of the item" enter: C:\Windows\System32\pnputil.exe /disable-device "" Click Next, give your shortcut a name and press finish Make a second shortcut in exactly the same way but use /enable-device instead of /disable-device in step #6. For each shortcut, Right click->Properties->Advanced and tick "Run as administrator" That's it. You should now be able to enable or disable your touch screen by clicking those two shortcuts.
Thank you so much for this video, I will be using every tip! What does the Graphite one actually look like in person? Is it black or dark grey? Also, would l need a screen shatter glass for this? Or would that be useless?
Hi, thank you so much for watching! It's sort of in the middle of dark grey and black, depending on how the light hits it. Sort of a charcoal I suppose, I like it a lot. As long as you're not hard on your devices, you shouldn't need any type of screen protection.
I apologize for the slow reply. I remember my book2 pro 360 getting pretty hot as well at first, but then after a couple weeks of it catching up on updates, it tamed down quite a bit. Intel 12th gen gets a little toasty at times. It's been a while since you left this comment, hopefully it's running a little more smoothly for you now.
Hi, thanks for watching. You don't, that's only if you use the s pen pro with a Galaxy tablet or phone that supports Bluetooth air actions. The Galaxy book line of laptops doesn't support them, but you still do get the air commands hover menu when clicking the button while hovering just above the screen. You just need to make sure the s pen pro is not in Fold edition mode, and it should work fine without any pairing needed.
I'm wondering if anyone can help me, @5.22 , he presses the volume button on the keyboard. My entire top row does not seen to do anything when i press on it. Can anyone help?
Hi Adam, thanks for watching! Try pressing Fn + F12 one time, then you should be able to press on the volume and brightness keys and they will work. Pressing Fn +F12 locks the function row of keys, and pressing it again unlocks it. If you don't want to lock the function keys, you can always press Fn+volume key (and so on) and that will work too.
Why wouldn't you do hibernate? That's the same as shutting it down, but you can pick right back up where you started easy peasy. It stores everything you were doing into memory.
Only because I demo'd that already in another video, so I'd figured I'd show an alternate approach. Hibernating is the way, all in all. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Kenny, thanks for stopping by! Please see my response to your other comment, I provide a detailed explanation there. But basically, it already comes pre-installed on Windows.
Hi Henry, thanks for watching! We will definitely see a 32gb option with the galaxy book 3 pro ultra. It should be out soon, my best guess would be late March, early April. When Samsung first releases a new laptop, that's the best time to order, during pre-order time. Last year, I traded in a Gear S3 watch that I bought off Amazon for $100, and they gave like a $350 instant savings for it. They also gave out a free 32" monitor, so I ended up paying less than $1,000 all things considered. When it gets to be time, I'll put out a video explaining the best trade-in deals possible.
Hey P Z, thanks for stopping by again! That old GOD mode thing is nice, gets you a lof system related features in one quick place. Please let me know how Linux goes for you on this machine, I'm curious. So far, the only main hicuup I've been reading about is getting the audio drivers working correctly, but that could have been specific to that one distro, I'm not sure. I hope you've been having a great 4th!
Is it normal that Ive to pay for dolby access now (Galaxy Book2 Pro 360) ??? The samsung setting w the dolby atmos sound toggle function is suddenly gone and when I open dolby access it asks me if I wanna test it for 7 days or buy it bruh
Hi, thanks for watching, and sorry for the slow reply. No, that's not normal, but a lot of users are currently facing this issue. There's been a bad update that went out, and it's taking some time for the fix to reach some folks. One viewer mentioned he manually updated the Realtek Control center drivers along with Dolby Access, and that was enough. But, for most so far, the fix has just been to be patient. If it doesn't resolve itself in the next week or so, please open up a chat window with Samsung and let them know. Dolby Atmos is supposed to be included with the machine.
There is a spelling error on the top left side; Bonus is written as Bonud :D
btw,
Thoughts and comments on the sPen?
Getting mine in a few days, looking forward to it
Concerning stand-by time, my tip is to use hybernate instead of sleep.
Great suggestion, thank you for sharing and for stopping by again 👍
That's what I thought too, mine is always hibernate on battery when lid is closed. Since, windows 10.
Congrats on getting a galaxy book2 360, awesome machine. Thank for your kind words as well, appreciate you!
As a not particular tech savvy upcoming college student, this video was a life saver, my laptop is really starting to be configured exactly as I'd like it, great video!
I'm glad you found it useful. Thank you so much for stopping by and watching!
Your narration and style are really nice to watch. Honest and authentic with great insights on Samsung products. Thank you for making these videos.
Thank you so much for the nice comment, I really do appreciate it! Thank you!
This is Wao!! You are the only one in entire TH-camrs that do a brilliant Job on review galaxy book pro, especially the sound and brightness settings, it is amazing, others are just saying a sort of trash on the sound without talking time to find out how it works,
Good job man
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kindness and you watching! I hope you're having a great day 👍
Thank you so much for this incredible video.
This video has been helping me for 2 years now. Thank you
That's so awesome, thank you for sharing this! I appreciate you.
Well done, Sir. You addressed all of the garbage/faux info out there that is everywhere. Impressive, Sir.
Thank you kindly, I appreciate you!
What a great instructional video! Thank you SO much for spreading all the information!
Thank you so much James, I really appreciate your kindness, means a lot! I hope you're having a great day!
Very helpful, thanks SO much! Actually waiting for it, probably before Christmas :)
Thanks for watching, and congrats on getting one, that's awesome!
Great video! Made me fall in love with my machine all over again! Can't wait to try everything out!
I'm glad you found this helpful, and thank you so much for stopping and for your new support. Happy to answer any questions you have along the way.
This video is great! SO helpful! I would've never found these settings myself lol
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words, very much appreciated!
this video was very helpful, especially the audio section! Thank you!!!
I'm so glad it was helpful for you, thank you so much for watching!
Thanks very much, Some real good stuff there. 😀
Thank you so much, I appreciate you stopping by and watching!
the dolby access setting, such a major difference and I did not even know! great tips!
It sure does make a big difference, lol. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you!
Thanks a lot! I've learnt so much from this video! I especially liked the settings explanation and why my computer bugs sometimes...
I'm glad this was helpful, and thank you for the super nice comment and for watching!
Hi, thank you so much for watching! That's a great idea too, whatever works best for you personally, we're lucky to have so many options 👍
Thanks for the amazing info brother... Please keep sharing such things.. really thank you😊
You're welcome, thank you so much for watching!
Congrats on getting one, and thank you for the super kind comment, I appreciate you!
@@RADERTECH do you know about number of fans in each size model?
@@prince_kamal There's one fan in the 13" model and 2 in the 15".
@@RADERTECH thanks for answering man. So it's gonna throttle much faster.
RE: The screen/lid weakness issue between the hinges:
I was toying with the idea of cutting a thin strip, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide and the same length as the inside distance between the hinges, of 1/8 inch thick neoprene (with the 3m backing) and placing it on the bottom half of the clam almost right out to the edge.
Awesome, I'm glad this was helpful. Thank you so much for watching, I hope your enjoying your galaxy book, it's a great machine.
great, keep it going. I love your films and my book pro
Thank you so much for your kindness, appreciate you! Glad you're enjoying your 360, that's awesome!
excellent video! Thanks mate!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate you!
Thank you for the great info brother, just got this laptop and I love it!
Heck yeah, congrats! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Awesome tips, especially Dolby and God mode were great enhancements. Intel was also good, since I changing from smaller screen, I tough the resolution would be as good. Also the shere number of updates was confusing. Perfect, thanks man.
Thank you so much, appreciate you!
Such an underrated video and channel, Well done and thank you man!
Thank you so much Jeff, that really means a lot! I hope you're having a great day!
@@RADERTECH Its my pleasure! By the way I was wondering if this is a good laptop for students, what do you think?
@@Shankosut05 It's great for that use case, especially given the s pen for note taking. It really is incredible for that purpose. The long battery life is nice for students too. The only real concern I'd have is with durability. You want to be pretty careful with it since it's so thin and light.
@@RADERTECH ok thank you for the input! Another question, do you think I should use a laptop cover or will it be safe without one?
@@Shankosut05 I think you'd be fine without one, but, it's very nice to have. Something like a sleeve that you could easily put the laptop and s pen would be ideal, then put that sleeve in your main bag or carry it separately.
Great information. Thank you
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you!
Very helpful video for my book 2 pro and I love my laptop. Its insane ☺️
Hi, thank you much for watching! It's an awesome machine, for sure! I love how lightweight and thin it is, while still being plenty powerful.
Can you tell what's your experience about heating and fingerprint of book 2 pro....
Great tips for novices & pros. Ive spent a few hours setting mine up today so very helpful.
I'm glad these tips were helpful, and congrats on your new book2 pro 360! Thanks for stopping by!
so its running smooth ?
Awesome video big difference on the sound and brightness wow appreciate 👍 that!!
Thank you so much, I appreciate you stopping by and watching!
Thank you. Wish to see a video about connecting an external screen to this beauty
@@RADERTECH Thank you for your prompt reply. Appreciate it. Subscriber ++

Great video!
Thank you so much, I appreciate you watching!
@@RADERTECH thanks a lot ✨
Ordered... waiting for my Book 2 Pro... some good useful stuff - Thx.
Nice! It's a great machine, especially after it gets all of its updates. It'll take a few days for it to get them installed, then it's smooth sailing. Congrats, and thanks for watching!
Update?
Just a heads up for anyone interested in Dolby access. You now have to buy (£14:24 GBP) 'Dolby Atmos for Headphones' to enable any sound settings. Unfortunately, it seems they keep finding ways to dip our pockets even after purchasing the initial product (laptop).
Do you have any videos on how to mirror or cast or share the Book2 Pro 360 to a Galaxy Book 12? I can't figure it out. Thanks if you can!
Happy to help further if you get stuck.
awesome review, appreciate it
Thank you so much for watching!
Is there any long term downsides to always using the galaxy book on High performance?
Good explanation Thanks
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Can't wait for part 2
Awesome, thank you so much! I plan on putting out at least another 3 to 4 GB2 Pro 360 videos before we get to Fold 4/Watch 5 season next month, and I'll keep them coming as folks put in requests. I promised someone a video editing performance video for this machine, so that'll be coming up soon. If there's anything else you want to see covered about this machine, please let me know.
Hey! Which anti virus did you mentioned instead of McAfee antivirus? Can you please write down here?
I personally just use Windows Defender and occasionally run the malware removal tool. Thanks for watching!
When I tap on the screen with my pen I can't access samsung notes like you did, it just pulls up a general menu. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, thanks for watching! So to access this menu, you don't want to actually touch the screen. Just hover right above it, like 1 or 2 mm, then press the s pen button while hovering. Then the air command window should pop up, and you should see the S Notes option there. If you don't, there's a Settings icon that lets you add more commands. But, the S Note option should be there by default, you shouln't have to add it. Happy to help if you're still stuck after trying this.
How do you keep the mouse from moving if you are typing with the large tracking pad. Can you turn it off while typing?
All works well with the new book 3 pro 360👍
Nice! Thanks for sharing and for stopping by!
on tipp 1, you got it reverse. just make the power button shut down, and have just the lid be sleep. thats feels more right and accomplishes the same. basicly your tipp is to shut the thing down once in a while :D

Great tips. I did all of this on my OG Galaxy Book Pro 360
Thanks for watching Dan, appreciate you! Last year's 360 is awesome, I use it as much as this year's, there's not much of a difference really.

Thanks for the tips.
Thank you so much Andy, I appreciate you stopping by and watching 👍
for tip 3, is surround virtualizer on for all modes or does only custom 123 give it to me
Howdy Ryan, thanks for watching!

Hey all, please help me with these if you can
Im really confused between samsung galaxy book 2 pro and the 360 one . Im looking for 15.6 in both models. My main doubts
Or are there more differences
Considering how long term users tell their experience, i can really sacrifice on the 360 and touch screen and go for the GB2 pro
Hi, hope you are doing well. So I just watched this because I havent had my laptop for so long( had to send it in for repair). So I didn't Know any better and I ended purchasing Mcafee!
13 or 15?

@@prince_kamal hi Prince, I purchased the 13” version, it gets slightly hot while doing normal tasks and quite hot during intense tasks. Overall it has been good, display is great, performance is good.

@RADER TECH hi thanks for your reply, it was getting turned off while using it.
@@fenishtailor That's not normal then, I would reach out to Samsung ASAP and request a replacement or service. It shouldn't be doing that.

Any problem or tips fpr screen cracking ?
Yes, a few folks have reported screen cracking on the book2. The way to avoid it is by not grabbing it between the hinges, as there's a lot of flex in that area. You also don't want to put it in backpacks and bags that have a lot of books next to it, the pressure could crack the screen. But under normal use, no, no issues. Thanks for watching.
My computer after 1 minute just goes to sleep or locks. How do I change this? it really makes it hard to right notes or do anything if i leave it for a couple minutes.

Thanks!!!

i have the same one, anyone know how to turn the touch screen off when using the keypad and all ?
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, you can do this with any 2 in 1 laptop like this one.
The best approach is to create 2 shortcuts, one that disables touch input, while the other re-enables it for you. This way you can switch back and forth. Here's the instructions, I "borrowed" this from reddit, lol...
How to:
Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager
Expand Human Interface Devices and identify you touch screen which should be named HID-compliant touch screen.
Right click on your desktop and select New->Shortcut
In the box marked "Type the location of the item" enter:
C:\Windows\System32\pnputil.exe /disable-device ""
Click Next, give your shortcut a name and press finish
Make a second shortcut in exactly the same way but use /enable-device instead of /disable-device in step #6.
For each shortcut, Right click->Properties->Advanced and tick "Run as administrator"
That's it. You should now be able to enable or disable your touch screen by clicking those two shortcuts.

Hi, thank you so much for watching! It's sort of in the middle of dark grey and black, depending on how the light hits it. Sort of a charcoal I suppose, I like it a lot.

Hlo bro, i brought Samsung galaxy note book2 pro from usa(best buy). From day 1 it started heating within a 10 min run any suggestions.
How can I pair/connect my book 2 pro 360 to my S pen pro?

Hello RADAR TECH 32 GB COMING OR NOT ON 2023... IF YES HOW TO ORDER HOW TO CONTACT YOU u said u never paid in Full
Didn't know about God Mode so I learned something new. I am not really a Micro$oft enthusiast though and will eventually switch it to Linux.
Hey P Z, thanks for stopping by again! That old GOD mode thing is nice, gets you a lof system related features in one quick place. Please let me know how Linux goes for you on this machine, I'm curious.
