Yes indeed my friend, almost all of these tips will apply to all them. They're very close in abilities due to being on very similar versions of One UI. This video is more for newcomers to the galaxy tab line, as I think this smaller 11" version will draw a lot of newcomers. You'll certainly notice the difference coming from the tab s7, congrats on getting the 9!

I've watched dozens of tip videos, but there's something about how you present the data... plenty of tips that I didn't realize I wanted to know 👍🏽Are you a teacher by trade? Wow, what a nice comment, thank you! No, I've never been a teacher, but I'm a team lead for a large IT dev team, so that might be coming into play. I'm glad you found this video useful, and thanks again for the super nice comment.

Watching on my Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra ... great video as always. There were 2 tips that I didn't know ... Can't wait for the next video to make my S9 Ultra even better
I just bought a new Tab S9+ and your video for the tips and tricks is great. A BIG thank you for taking the time and effort to make it. Oh, and a BIG thumbs👍 up.
I'm so sorry for the slow reply, I've been away for a couple of eye surgeries. That's so awesome, I'm glad you're loving the S23, and I hope you're loving Tab S9 just as much. It's a great tablet, it's been solid. Thanks for stopping by!
I am doing research for a Tap 9+ and found your video, thanks for all the tips, I never handled a Tap ever and wondering if it can be a replacement for my Laptop when traveling, I guess it is, thanks again for doing this and make tap user live easier.
Thank you so much, I appreciate you stopping by. It sure can, it all really depends on if you have any Windows specific apps that aren't available on Android. Outside of that, it makes for a great laptop replacement.
WiFi developer settings seem to be very useful. Thanks for that. I will just check, if manually changing channels somehow affects my mesh network. One question: Why did you activate edge panel for side by side notes? Any benefits I don't see? Cause I simply open the app twice from the bottom panel and it just works. No need to activate edge panel. We'll.. at least as long as you don't want to use it anyway. Great video. Thanks for sharing those tricks with us.
You're welcome, those wife options are pretty awesome. You're totally right, I didn't even think of dragging it up from the task bar. I switch between so many devices, that I often forget all about the task bar. That's the way to do it!
Just want to add to the section about multiple instances of Samsung notes, You can use the drag and drop feature the same way from the taskbar as you can from the edge panel. There is a feature in Goodlock that lets you long press the task view button to quickly open the split screen view. You can actually open notes 3 times in split view, with an additional 2 floating windows for a max of 5 instances open at the same time.
Hey I am having issues with my S9 just got it today and I planed on using it for pokemon go but it doest have Sms slot just a micro SD card doe that mean it has the internal sms card?

Thank you so much, I appreciate you stopping by! This is the official Outdoor Cover case from Samsung, you can find on Samsung's website. They make it for all 3 sizes of the tab s9.
That's actually what I came to the comment section to find out. I notice he didn't answer the question, do you by any chance have the answer to your question? I need that case lol
Hi, thanks for stopping by! Sorry for the slow reply, it's been crazy busy week at work. This is the Samsung Outdoor Case. The latest video I put is a full review on it, it's a really nice case.
Hi, thanks for stopping by! This is the Samsung Outdoor Cover case. The most recent video on my channel is a full review of it, it's a really nice case.
Holy shit! The ad removal one is a game changer! Thank you!!!!!! Do you know if the same setting can also be used on an iPhone 15? It would be awesome if it works for the iPhone too. I’ve done it for my S9 Ultra and it is GREAT!!!!!!!!
Dark Mode actually increases risk of burn in dramatically. That is because of the status bar on the top of your screen wich in light mode konstantly switches between being withe vs grey and therefore making sure that the screen deteriorates evenly. On the other hand darkmode allows displays the status bar in with with background which causes severe burn in over only a short period of time. You ate not able to disable the status navigation bar due to samsungs one UI which disables this feature normally available in standard android skins. Additionally you might increase the risk of getting "staged burn in" patterns on the top and bottom of your screen Is is caused by several apps always showing some of those upper or lower areas of the screen to be always black or always white. This will cause a step down effect because the screen didn't see the same usage and henceforth aged at different speeds. Trust me, I'm an extreme power user and I have been experiencing the above on my Galaxy Note 10 Plus I've used it in light mode for a year extensively without any issues and then I used it in dark Mode for a year which did deteriorate the screen drastically. Now I've gone back to using light mode for more that a year and the already existing burn in has not been amplified any further. 🙃 So please do not follow this advice commonly provided to swith into dark mode for Decreased risk of burn in. But besides that I did really enjoy the rest of the video! Quite a lot of useful Tipps. PS: I did further optimise my Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra to minimise the risks of potential burn in like to disable the navigation icons and only rely on swipe gestures. You should also most definitely enable auto zoom to fit screen to avoid the described stepping effect on the top and bottom of your screen. (On the Tab S9 Series this is not a major lose of displayed content due to it's screen already being quite close to the standardised aspect ratio of 16:9 (The Galaxy Tab S9 Series features a 16:10 aspect ratio) Those things are probably the most prominent but there are many other little things to do in order to reduce burn in. 🔥 Kind regards Willi Kessler
Thanks had heard of some of these before, but you have shown them in great deoth....thanks....hopefulyy still aok on my s8 ultra...still rocking! And my 7fe and 2 x S6 lites.......
What internet browser do you use with Samsung internet on the Galaxybook? I have mine where it will sync bookmarks in Edge, but I'm curious if there is a better combo since I use Samsung Internet on my Tab s8 and S20. Thanks! I love your videos. Everybody is all Apple and you really bring out all of the strengths of the Galaxy ecosystem.
Thank you so much for your kind comment, and my apologies for the slow reply. So I'm back to using Chrome, since they fixed the bug in which it was using up system resources really bad for a while. I was on Edge prior to that. Samsung Internet browser is tough to integrate with other browsers, due to the lack of true plug-in support. But, there's a ton of work-around's that work pretty good. Here's an example of one - www.guidingtech.com/import-chrome-bookmarks-samsung-internet-browser/
Thanks for the great question, and my apologies for the slow reply. I know exactly what you mean, it used to not be that way prior to One UI 4. The workaround I've come up with is to open up DeX and all of the apps you want to have resized, then manually adjust each one to take up almost the entire screen. Not maximized, but close ot it. Then close out of all of those apps. The next time you open them, they should remember their last size, and re-open in almost full screen view. I'm sure there's a better solution out there, but that's what I've been personally doing.
Can you add app group shortcuts to the homescreen? I tried the tablet at bestbuy but couldn't figure out how to do it. I see the edge panel has app group with Samsung notes and another app. My surface duo lets me add app group shortcuts to the homescreen which opens 2 app 50/50 split. Do I have to open an app then drag the other app icon every time to multitask 50/50 on the tab s9?
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, you sure can. First open up both apps side by side, or one on top of the other. Then tap the little line in the middle of the 2 apps, and tap the favorites icon, the one that looks like a star. This will prompt you to save the app pair combo, and one the save options will be for the home screen. I'll try to make sure to include this in an upcoming video.
I really don't like gestures but I remember back in the days there was a dot that would remove the buttons if I needed the whole screen I wish that option was still available
HI, thanks for watching. It varies between routers, but typically there's an IP address on a little sticker on the back. You'll enter that IP address, which is usually something like 192.168.0.1 or similar, and then it will take you to a login screen. Some routers have a default user id and password of admin/admin, or they should have given you one when you bought it to login. From there, there should be a screen for picking which channel you prefer for both the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. One you make the update, the router will reset and you'll be on that channel.
I have a question. I hard press on my homescreen. Wallpapers, widgets, settings. I do not have the THEME option.....i have the new tab9 ultra.....does it exist or to new?
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Sadly, the default Samsung Themes aren't supported on the galaxy tablets. I have no idea why either, it's really weird. But, you can sort of fake it by installing Good Lock and customizing that way. I know, it's not the same, but it gets you really close.
@Radertech, just purchased a usb c to hdmi adapter for the s9 ultra but it doesn't seem to work, do you know if it's possible to stream using this method or is the adapter maybe faulty or the s9 doesn't support this?, I've tried changing the HDMI cable but these work with other devices ok. Hope you can advise but if not no worries, thanks for all the other great tips👍
Thanks for stopping by! The Tab s9 Ultra definitely supports it, I use it all the time with my reguler tab s9. Once you hook up the cable/adapter, you should your device screen on your monitor right away, and it should prompt if you want to start DeX, since it now notices you're connected to a display. I've had the best luck with Anker multi-port adapters. They work flawlessly, every time. It must be the adpater or cable you're using, they both need to support display over usb.
Hi, thanks for stopping by. It's the same name. You should find it in the Samsung Galaxy Store, it won't be in the Google Play store. If you don't see it, then Fine Lock is an okay alternative. You can also sideload the good lock .apk from Google, there's a video on my channel on how to do that. Good Lock isn't available yet in all regions, so that may be the reason you're not seeing it.
@@RADERTECH hey thanks yea it was on the Samsung Galaxy store and actually it was already downloaded on my device from sometime in the past lol but I don't recall ever using it.. Anyway thanks for the response and help I appreciate it!
Thanks for stopping by, and my apologies for the slow reply. I just wrapped up back to back eye surgeries, so I took a little break from youtube. I totally agree, DeX is pretty awesome for when you need to get stuff done. There's quite a few folks out there that use it exlusively, bypassing PC's altogether.
Mine doesn't have the 3 dots next to the settings button when trying to set it to persistent brightness slider. So I cant find the quick panel layout. Please help.
Thanks for stopping by. It sounds like you're on the most recent version of One UI, they've changed it up a little bit. Swipe down 2x on your notifications/quick toggle menu to fully expand the quick toggles. Then tap on the pencil icon. On the screen that loads up, you'll see an option for Brightness Control. That's it, and it works just the same as what's shown in this video.
That can happen at times. You can try searching for a couple alternatives, and maybe just disable it when you want to visit those sites. I'll try to come up with a Routine for certain sites, that would be ideal.
Ha ha ha, now that's too funny! Love it! I know what you mean, there sure is a huge difference between them. I usually have it sitting next to my tab s8 ultra, and the Ultra looks like a giant compared to it. I like them both though, the little one is great for when I'm lazy on the couch - which happens more than I should admit :) Thanks for stopping by!
@@sidharathbhatti2971 Yes, because the system brightness will be at maximum, disabling the PWM, and the application will add a dark layer over the screen (where you can customize the opacity you want), which will save your eyes from frying because of the high brightness.
Hi, thanks for stopping by. My apologies for the slow reply, I've been away for a couple eye surgeries. You used to be able to cast to your phone, but Samsung has since removed the Smart View developer options that allow that :( For the second question about mirroring from your TV to S22 Ultra, here you go my friend: Connect both your Samsung TV and your phone to the same Wi-Fi network Download the SmartThings app on your phone Open the SmartThings app Tap Add Device Select your TV or scan for a TV nearby Tap on your TV and connect to your device Tap on your connected TV and tap More Options Click on Smart View Click on the Mirroring option Click Next, then Continue Select the TV's name, then click Start now
@@AlfonsoMartI don't know of a particular website, but Samsung has a pretty decent article up on their site about it - www.samsung.com/ca/support/mobile-devices/galaxy-tablet-use-the-second-screen-feature/

Maybe you can help me out... I do have the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 SM T 870 with keyboard book cover... After the latest firmware update that is 5.1.1 the physical keyboard cover is not detect anymore, as it doesn't work to type or moving of the mouse pad or the screen doesn't light up when opened... Any advice how to "activate " it again... I already done the online advice from Samsung, meaning cleaning the contact points, went into the General settings and see to select it, it just show not detected Latest I tried was even to back up the files, did a factory reset and STILL it does not detect it... Even did the Fn F6 and Fn SPacebar and still not activated.... I'm clueless what to do next...I will go into the Samsung Store today and if they cannot help me, I might trade it in but yet again I need to use the Keyboard cover every day as part of typing ....The on screen keyboard is not an option for long emails to type.... Help please....
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Sorry to hear this happening. Usually when the keyboard and tablet aren't talking to each other, and you know it's not because of any physical damage, it's because of a firmware mismatch. There's separate firmware for the galaxy tablet and for the keyboard itself. Try restarting the galaxy tablet, then make sure you have all of the updates from the galaxy store, and try connecting and removing the keyboard again. If there's a new firmware for the keyboard, you'll see little pop-up bubble at the bottom of the screen. That usually fixes this issue.
@@RADERTECHI tried that and still it doesn't want to work...I went and buy a second hand keyboard and that is working, maybe the firmware disabled the keyboard "software" ...I will later see if I can find a second hand S7 tablet to test if htta is working on that one with older firmware...
There's only one Good Lock app my friend, and it's only in the Samsung Galaxy Store, it's free. Please don't look in the Google Play store, those will all be fake wannabee apps. You want the real one from Samsung.
Thanks for stopping by. No, no clue. It should be there towards the bottom when in advanced features. Do keep in mind that the options will only show up once you enable Bright video mode. In the standard setting, there won't be anything pick from.
Yes and no. You can open up Sheets as one instance, and then follow these instructions to open another instance in the Samsung Internet Browser. I stole this this little from reddit.... I’ve found it possible to use Chrome to use the desktop versions of docs, sheets and slides if you set it up in chrome to always open the desktop site. This can be done by Launch chrome Visit chrome://flags Search for “desktop”, for “Global setting to request desktop site on Android“, select Enabled and restart the browser. You also need to make sure that chrome doesn’t open the sheets app when opening a link. I think this can be done in the settings (can’t remember how though as don’t have my tablet with me at the moment)
Hmm, that's really odd. I mean, it will make it feel maybe a little "too" fast with them off, but otherwise there should be no harm. I recommend the default of 1x, it looks the best.
You should be able to go in to the General Management settings, and there will be locale options for when you connect the physical keyboard. I'm not in front of it right now, so I'm not sure if Unicode is one of the options, but you can switch languages for sure. Thanks for stopping by!
I've never owned one of the 5g galaxy tabs, just the bluetooth only models. But I did find this on the web... According to a Reddit user, to disable 5G on a Samsung Galaxy, you can go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network mode and select LTE/3G/2G
You should be able to just pinch and zoom in most media apps, including youtube now. This also works in the Gallery. The only situations where you can't are with some of the streaming apps, most likely due to restrictions with the licenses, though that's just a guess. Thanks for stopping by.
I like to use my tablet to play Netflix on my TV. My old S5 tablet I could just plug in a cable that went to HDMI on my tv. My new S9 won't show anything. Can you tell me what settings I need to change, please? I'm not very tech savvy. Lol Help.
Thanks for stopping by! It does work, but it's picky about it. Make sure your cable supports Display Port over USB-C, and you may need an inline adapter. I didn't when hooking mine up to my LG oled TV, but did when trying with my TCL TV. Here's a link showing a bunch of ways to connect it to a TV, both wired and wirelessly - www.mobilefun.co.uk/blog/2018/01/how-to-connect-galaxy-s9-s9-to-tv/#:~:text=The%20simplest%20and%20easiest%20option%3A%20USB%2DC%20to%20HDMI%204K%20adapter&text=This%20is%20super%20simple%20to,that's%20connected%20to%20your%20TV.
Thank you! I was on the phone with Tech support for over an hour if you can believe that and they finally referred me to a service center for repair! Thanks for the tips also. Dave @@RADERTECH
That's the way the latest version of One UI is now. If you prefer to have the 3 swipe actions instead, you can install Samsung GoodLock and use NavStar to go back to the old 3 swipe gestures. There's a vide on my channel that walks you though, please search for "Fix NavBar" and it should show up. Thanks for stopping by.
The wifi developer options are totally useless, unless they offer a firewall to select which apps (including system apps) can connect to the network. And also give us a developer option to force the network rigged apps (like all samsung apps) to be used offline.
Yes and no. So it doesn't have the normal Theme support that the S series phones have, but you can use wallpapers from Themes, and you can also use Themes Cafer (part of Samsung Goodlock) to theme it out entiriely. A bit of a compromise though. Thanks for stopping by!
You can, I'm using it on my Tab S9 right now. First, open up the Google Play Store and search for GBoard. Then you'll notice the green button says Enable, then after that it will prompt you to Update. I had to do this the first time I used it, else it wouldn't let me activate in Settings. Once you enable and update in the Google Play store, it shoudl work fine. Thanks for stopping by.
There's no screensaver or anythig like that, unless you plug it in for charging. With a screen timeout of 2 minutes, you'll see it start to dim at about the 1:50 mark. You want the screen to turn off though because it's an OLED based panel. You don't want this screen to stay sitting on one image or screen for a very long period of time, it can potentially cause burn-in. 2 minutes is a good number.
Google Play Store has all of the Office apps. You just use your existing MS Office 365 account for full functionallity and keeping files in sync, or you can use the apps without the paid 365 account and use all the main features. They android versions lack some of the advanced features found in the Windows versions, like writing VBA and macros. You can also access the Office apps via the web on your tab s9, or use both, that way you can have multiple documents open at once.
i just bought 2 of these for $722 each from Amazon ..UI6 just got install on both of mine today ...but my fav is Ultra, loves BIG SCREEN but was f*n $400 EACH more than this, so f** that , settle down with these, good tips😘👌 IS VERY strange, my Brightness slider is already shows on top, weird
Thanks for stopping by, and cograts on getting 2 of them - score! Sorry for the slow reply, been away for 2 cataract eye surgeries. The Ultra is legit, but not so much for when wanting to use it as an actual tablet. It's great for on the desk and as a second monitor, but the smaller 11" ones that you just bought are way better for regular tablet tasks - like plopping down on the couch and chillin'. They're both cool I guess and have their pros and cons. Yeah, you'll notice as of One UI 6, the brightness slider will already be at the top. They just now mixed it up for us :)
I was excited to get the S9 until I learned it was Wifi only and did not offer and data plan capabilities. Very dissapointed in Samsung and for that reason I will not purchase it.
Before buying a tablet, I watched almost all the available videos on TH-cam. Nobody said Dex was buggy. For example, the WhatsApp application does not fit into the field where you write the text. And you can’t see what you’re writing. Nobody said that office applications work just like a nightmare. That this tablet is not a computer replacement at all. My external drive won't connect. Office applications are especially terrible. I really regret the purchase. Buying this tablet is a mistake.
I'm sorry you're disappointed, that's a bummer. It's definitely not a full on PC, but there's a lot of folks getting a lot done on them. Sorry it's not for you, that's a bummer.
@@RADERTECH Even the office apps should work good (obviously not like a laptop) but just check out for keyboard shortcuts. Press cmd and / key to get all the keyboard shortcuts active on any window
The Fe version can't do as much as the pro version. The Fe version is definitely more buggy in performance, and the Fe version can't connect to other displays with a wire, only wirelessly.

Additionally you might increase the risk of getting "staged burn in" patterns on the top and bottom of your screen
Is is caused by several apps always showing some of those upper or lower areas of the screen to be always black or always white.
So please do not follow this advice commonly provided to swith into dark mode for Decreased risk of burn in.
(On the Tab S9 Series this is not a major lose of displayed content due to it's screen already being quite close to the standardised aspect ratio of 16:9 (The Galaxy Tab S9 Series features a 16:10 aspect ratio)
Those things are probably the most prominent but there are many other little things to do in order to reduce burn in. 🔥
Kind regards
Willi Kessler
I wouldn't really worry about the burn in aspect too much, unless you're leaving it on a static screen too often. Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you. The Facebook app was driving me crazy. This is my first android in a long time.

Nice tips. What case are you using?
Thanks for stopping by, and sorry for the slow reply. This is the Samsung Outdoor Cover case.
Thanks for the tips, I've noticed using dex that some apps need to be restarted to work in full screen, is there a workaround for this? Cheers 🍻
@RADERTECH thanks for getting back, I'll try that fix meantime, all the best.

I'll try to make sure to include this in an upcoming video.
whoever disliked this video has no penis, this video is good and straight to the point WELL DONE
I really don't like gestures but I remember back in the days there was a dot that would remove the buttons if I needed the whole screen I wish that option was still available
I think I remember that too, I'm pretty sure it was back before One UI 4 came out. That was awesome, wish we still had it too.
You can with NavStar under goodlock
Do you have a Link to more info on setting up the router? I'm not sure I fully understand.

Thanks for stopping by, and my apologies for the slow reply. I just wrapped up back to back eye surgeries, so I took a little break from youtube. Thanks for stopping by. It sounds like you're on the most recent version of One UI, they've changed it up a little bit. That's it, and it works just the same as what's shown in this video.

Any advice how to "activate " it again...

Does the samsung dex allow to open 2 google sheets side by side?
This can be done by
Launch chrome
Visit chrome://flags
Search for “desktop”, for “Global setting to request desktop site on Android“, select Enabled and restart the browser.
You also need to make sure that chrome doesn’t open the sheets app when opening a link. I think this can be done in the settings (can’t remember how though as don’t have my tablet with me at the moment)
@@RADERTECH thanks alot for this detailed comment❤️

How to zoom video playback mate?

You can, I'm using it on my Tab S9 right now. First, open up the Google Play Store and search for GBoard. Then you'll notice the green button says Enable, then after that it will prompt you to Update. I had to do this the first time I used it, else it wouldn't let me activate in Settings. Once you enable and update in the Google Play store, it shoudl work fine. Thanks for stopping by.
why s9 screen getting off..setting for screen off time set to 2 min.
whnever am using tab while sleeping screen getting off
There's no screensaver or anythig like that, unless you plug it in for charging. With a screen timeout of 2 minutes, you'll see it start to dim at about the 1:50 mark. You want the screen to turn off though because it's an OLED based panel. You don't want this screen to stay sitting on one image or screen for a very long period of time, it can potentially cause burn-in. 2 minutes is a good number.
how to get windows software .. ms office and ms word .. for free in tab9

Yeah, they do this every release sadly. You have to go with the tab S9+ if you want to use cell/data plans.
Why?
