Hi, keep up the good work mate! I'm getting one this week and I'll be sure to follow your vids from now on :) Just had a quick question, I know it only has 1 slot for the m.2 but can I replace the ssd with a different one or is it soldered?
Thank you so much, and congrats on getting it. Yes, you sure can, you can replace it with any brand SSD, even Pro line SSD's from Samsung and WD will work fine. I'm not sure if there's a max size you can use, but I've seen plenty of posts on reddit of folks using 2TB all day, so I know for sure that works.
Hey Raider Merion here. I always enjoy your tutorials and would love more on the Book 2 pro360. I know it's already classified as outdated, but I would differ. Book 2 Pro 360 was really sold to those of us that wanted a light weight highly functional laptop. And that it is. I jumped on the band wagon this year and brought the book4 Pro 360 and the weight almost broke my arm. (just kidding) but there was a huge different in weight. Also I thought the AI feature would be a big thing, but it's not . Microsoft and every other OS, app and their mother has their own version of AI to use . As for the glare on the screen that's what some screen protectors are for. Basically these laptops even though they have some Samsung involvement .... they really don't. So I sent mine back and recouped my over 1500 dollars. Also I felt the 500 dollar trade in for the 2 Pro360 was an insult. Best buy is selling them for 900. Looking forward to your feedback. Take care.
Hi Merion, thanks for stopping by! I would love to put out more content on it, but sadly I ended up trading in the book2 to get the book4 at a reduced price. These machines are so darn expensive that I just couldn't afford to pass up the trade-in deal the were offering. It was a great machine, and I do miss the smaller form factor.
Thank you so much. i just bought this laptop, and it's been years since I've used a computer (like 4 or 5) and I bought this so i could hook up my phone to it but I didnt know how. I thought a new computer would at least give me a walk through on how to do it. Any way, I'm super excited now, thank you!
You're welcome, and congrats on getting it! If you have an android based phone, you can use Your Phone on your laptop to gain a lot of functionality between your laptop and phone. Happy to help if you have any questions about it. Please keep in mind that I rarely see replies to comments (they get buried in youtube studio), but I always notice new comments. Just mentioning, so you know to leave a new comment, that'll get my attention :)
Great video! I am thinking of buying a Book 4, but reviews are sketchy on heating issues and loud fans. I did find it odd. it's more on the smaller 14" models than the 16". Maybe i will be leaning towards this 360 model. What are your thoughs.
Thanks for stopping by. I personally haven't come across any heating issues, and the fans have been more quiet on this year's model than all of the past models, at least of of those that I've had. It's been a solid machine, all in all.
@RADERTECH So apparently, the 14" model chasis don't have enough space to distribute heat, but the 16" models don't suffer from the same problem. Also, some people in countries with the 14" models paired with Intel Ultra 5 processors don't have those heating problems either.
I also found it to get quite hot when I got it in march, since then there's been some BIOS updates that solved the issue, at least for me. I'm gonna add that I put liquid metal on it after using it for a couple of weeks as temps were not to my liking, but even with the liquid metal, temp and power consumption improvements were noticeable with said BIOS updates.
@ikeragz8627 I want to do a clean install without factory restore cause there is lots of Samsung stuff running, but some are needed for Samsung laptop features, so idk. Mine has throttling issue but doesn't seem to affect operations just slows the CPU down.
@@alexpcrepairs The throttling isnt noticeable aside from the lower cpu clocks, for long sustained loads, these cpus tend to stay at 30w or 100ºC, whatever they hit first. With liquid metal its always 30w, and it stays at 80º. Its in the bursts of 60, 90w when it does hit the 100s, but thats unavoidable even with liquid metal. As for a clean install, what i'd recommend is a factory restore and uninstalling samsung stuff you dont need. Samsung apps and services are easily findable and you can uninstall them pretty easy, unlike some of the crap built into windows.
Hi, I've been using mine for almost a year now, I think you are right about the flex point in the screen causing the cracking people tend to get in these, but I also suspect it might be caused from closing the laptop when its hot, as in using it in the high performance mode for some heavy task, say playing some videogames, and closing it before giving it some time to cool down. The spot that tends to get the cracks, aside from being a flex point, is where it gets hottest. And given the space between the screen and the rest of the laptop, I guess breadcrumbs could cause serious damage aswell. Aside from that, lovely machine, I only hope not to get screen burn-in as it ages.
That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. It's really hard to track down OEM replacements for the galaxy book s pen, but there's a better route anyways. Just pick up a replacement s pen for any of the recent galaxy tablets, and it work exactly the same as the one you had. Just make sure to not buy the S Pen Fold edition, that one won't correctly with this laptop.
Thanks for stopping by. That sucks, I'm sorry to hear. Open up the Start menu and type Camera, then that will show the Camera application. Open that, then go into the Settings cogwhee. In those settings, there will be link to open more Camera settings or Main camera settings, it's worded something like that. That will open up another sceen showing Camera sensor options, and one of the options is to Revert Back; sometthing worded like that, it's easy to see because it'll be the only option like that on that screen. Tap on that to revert all of the camera sensor stuff back to default settings. Hopefully that helps.
Hi! I got one myself few days ago and i got to say the design and performances are stunning! I noticed it gets hot sometimes when i use it for complex tasks though. Does this happens to yours? Also, do you know if it is true that if you shut down and close your device when it's hot there is the risk for the screen to crack because of the heat? Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by, and sorry for the slow reply. It can get hot at times when I'm multitasking and when I put it in high performance mode, but not often. You'll notice it doesn't get as hot after a couple of weeks of getting updates trickled in. Make sure to check for Samsung Updates and Windows Updates often, especially at first. I haven't heard of that last thing you mentioned happening, but it does make sense. The screen is very thin, so I could imagine excessive heat potentially causing a problem. But very unlikely.
Thanks for another visit my friend! There's a lot of cool little stuff you can do, but nothing really groundbreaking. Multi-control works with the S24, as well as "continue apps on other devices", which makes it nice to continue where you left off. This also works for Samsung Internet for browsing. You can also copy with the s pen on one device, and paste it over on the other. Phone calls and texts, and you can run your android apps on the PC if you want too. Stuff like that.
@@RADERTECH Thanks. I now rely on Google for "continuation" (it works very well on all devices and platforms, for Chrome, GMail and TH-cam). Dolby Atmos and Video Boost are amazing.
I really like the book 4 pro 360 still, and I'd assume everything would be roughly the same for the book 4 pro. I'm getting fantastic battery life considering how bright I keep the screen. If you can get it a good price, I'm all for it.
@@RADERTECHcompare to Samsung galaxy book 3 pro, new book 4 pro gives better battery back up?? , i think both have 63whr battery but the cpu consumption take in place ,size of nano meter reduced so explain which has best battery life please
That's awesome, you're fully integrated in the ecosystem at this point. If money's not an object, the Ultra is the better machine, especially the i9/32gb variant. But if you're not into video editing and hardcore gaming, the book4 pro 360 works great and will save you a few bucks.
Thanks for stopping by. That's odd, I thought all of the galaxy books came with this app at this point, but I could be wrong on that. Try searching for "Samsung Experience" from the Start menu, perhaps the icon just isn't there on the Taskbar. You might also want to try checking the Samsung Updates app to see if it's available there. That really sucks that isn't showing up for you. But in all honesty, it's just nothing more than a dashboard for the apps that are included, and all of those apps should at least be there. At least I hope so.
