Superb! And Romania had a lot of narrow gauge lines, but in the 90s they were closed and decommissioned! The most beautiful was Turda-Abrud, Western Carpathians in length of 93 kilometers! now some NGOs are trying to restore some parts in Transylvania, but it's a lot of money!

This line should be extended to connect the main line Belgrade - Bar with the serbian parts of Bosnia, maybe even with Sarayevo. One should keep in mind that this line once has been used 24 hours per day for freight trains and far distance trains connecting Belgrade via Sarajevo with Dubrovnik.
It is not possible to extend this line all the way to the Belgrade - Bar railway line (to Užice) because part of the old route is submerged by Lake Vrutci. On the other side, further from Visegrad as well. There was also built an accumulation lake, on the Drina river and the old route of this railway line is under water.

Prelepo ! Neverjetna trasa ! Kako lepa narava! Zanimiva zgradba ob progi na začetni lokaciji. Še . nisem videl pokopališča tako blizu proge, verjetno so jo zgradili kasneje. Le zakaj je proga ozkotirna ? Zahvaljujem se za ta posnetek, ki mi bo popestril mnoge urice, ko bo zunaj dež, sneg in mraz, jaz pa bom gonil eliptični trenažer in gledal to vožnjo na velikem ekranu. Thanks for this video. Lush, forested mountainous terrain with mostly evergreens. I have lived for a quarter century now in the desert southwest of the USA (California's Central Valley) which is quite a contrast. And passenger rail in the US is nothing to write about.

This railroad is really worth a trip, and we can be glad that Србија has preserved and rebuild this most exciting part of this former huge 760mm railroad system, reaching from Београд and Босански Брод in the north to Metković, Dubrovnik, Зеленика and Требиње/Билећа/Никшић/Подгорица in the South, and from Книн in the west to Заjечар close to the Bulgarian border in the east. Србија is a beatiful country with friendly people and can be proud of its culture. Where, however, is the 83.053 now that has been in Мокра Гора when I was visiting this railroad a few years ago? Does the train still operate crossing the border to Вишеград? I am very sad that the scenic, most famous bridge crossing the Дрина river close to Међеђа between Вишеград and Међеђа has disappeared in a lake a few decades ago.
You're welcome! Steam locomotive series 83 is shut down and parked in Šargan Vitasi. In 2022, it had its last ride. Unfortunately, now it is waiting for a decision and the goodwill of individuals to be sent for a general overhaul.

Museum railways actually can make money, Šargan Eight is profitable but it also features hotel and restaurants along the route.

Nema na čemu. Prema Višegradu povremeno i veoma retko saobraća voz, i to samo onda kada se unapred zakupi vožnja. Nema redovnih polazaka.
