Yes! Everyone we met in Serbia was very kind and welcoming 😃 We also learnt that there is a lot more to Serbia than just Belgrade and that the countryside and mountains are incredible. Thank you for watching 👍

Küstendorf Film Festival is an annual event held during early January in the village of Drvengrad (also known as Küstendorf) in the Mokra Gora region of Serbia. Established in 2008
There is also an original steam locomotive, but it consumed 7 tons of coal for the Sarganski 8 circuit, so it became unprofitable to drive it. This diesel locomotive is not bad either. :)
It’s a great train journey and a very scenic ride! I like how they use the old carriages to make it feel like an authentic experience 🚂 thanks for watching 👍
You can email reservations at predrez@srbvoz.rs . Then you pay for your tickets at the ticket office. I would advise pre booking just to avoid missing out 👍
So looks like your locomotive was JŽ serija 661, better known as Kenedi, named after the US presiden at the time - John F Kennedy. Back when the WWII ended, the US was very paranoid about the USSR and the leader of Yugoslavia - Tito, used this paranoia to offer them alleged nuclear scientists in an exchange for insane amount of benefits and one of those was receiving 220 of these world class diesel locomotives. He played them good, because after time, they realised, even tho they are smart, they are not at the level of what they expected, certainly didnt know anything about nuclear power. The contracts were signed for 50 years, so the scientist could leave the US only in 2010s, i dont know exact year. This was all top secret for all this time, only fairly recently came to light, people were told that the state bought them and received some as a gift, but now we learned they were all technically a gift. 😆
My bad, the locomotive appears to be much smaller than 661, its very similar to 641, but its still not the same as 641 and yes i know, nobody actually cares for this stuff except small percentage of the people and im not there, so its probable that someone will tell you which one it is exactly.😀
I'm not aware EMD G16 was ever made for a narrow-gauge railway like this. It might as well be a replica of some sort, because it looks tiny compared to the 661.
I think we should watch the film and that will give us a better understanding to 👍 it’s an interesting place and offers great views over the countryside 😀 thank you for watching 👍
@@AshAndDan.I have been there before. Excellent place. Make sure you go visit it during summer months. Open late and so many more attractions to attend!
