Most guys his age are at the lake with their nice boats, trolling around hoping a 20 yr old will show a little nip. This guys in his laboratory building monsters...Much Respect, Sir.
When im that age, i hope to be able to buy 20 year old nip... and a cr500... fingers crossed 🤞
Sexist gits!
I love that he kicked it over with wearing runners.
Great work restoring these epic bikes.
Thankyou
That thing was a beast !
Nice! I own a full machine shop/services/fab shop/painting facility, that I use to build /restore vintage mx bikes. Many parts need to be made from hand now that you cannot get spares. One thing nice about the CR500's is many spares are available, or being reproduced somewhere in the world.
What country?
A Dream 😍
I am such a fan of your work. Attention to detail and your knowledge of the machines is so impressive. Being a big fan of the 80's Hondas, this bike makes me drool. Once again, great work!
Thank you
Thankyou for watching
One of the best looking dirt bikes ever made, even to this day.
Building two 89 250's now.
i’m inclined to agree with you
I agree
Incredibly entertaining *and* inspirational!
I have a '87 CR500R that I've owned since '89 that needs restoration.
You've given me a perfect path try to follow.
Thank you!
Amazing work - It's videos like these that inspire. My son watches this and wants to rebuild motorcycles. Quality time with him in the garage = priceless.
Man I got to say you did an awesome job restoring that 89 CR500 what an absolute Widow Maker of a bike. I owned an 85 CR500 and I wish I would have never gotten rid of it I now own an 89 CR250 which I absolutely love looking forward to your next videos
Thanks for watching
Absolutely amazing, what a beauty ❤️💪💪🏁🏁
You sir, deserve a medal! Outstanding restoration, this is on the next level, this is an art..respect!
Thank you
When I was in middle school I had a 89 cr 500r. I wish I had kept it but I wanted a car. I still have the title to it . Imma try to find it
Try cleaning up the plastic, then heat it up, it will shine like new... frkn awesome job bud, I love doing ground up testis on old dirt bikes, it's therapeutic.
I rode one from 1990-2001, GREAT BIKE!!
I just had to see the shots where you’re wearing a back brace to know how much work and how many countless hours you spent on your feet for this restoration. The finished product is amazing and flawless in every metric . The passion and meticulous attention you gave to this project paid off and inspires those of us out here who love to get into projects such as these . Keep up the great work ! Thank you and don’t shorten the videos they’re better when they run full length!
Thank you for watching and commenting
What an Absolutely astounding done video ..wow .. Everything + Music A+ !!
Much admiration from me too, not too much to add that has'nt been already said.
That bike is absolutely superb! Not sure I’ve seen many that were built to that level of detail. Keep up the terrific work. That was epic!
Thankyou
I second that for sure, looks better than when it was bought brand new!
I love your WORK!! Don't feel like you have to shorten your videos! I like the detail of watching you rebuild your bikes. I will sit and watch hours of your work! I would rather see more of your work posted a little each time. You do such a great job! Nevertheless, thanks for posting! Blessings!
Thanks for watching. I will post more footage in separate videos over the next months
@@TNTMOTO AWESOME!! Look forward to watching them!
Brilliant work, and love the simple and straightforward video format. Would also be keen to see a shop walkthrough sometime if you haven’t done one yet.
Keep up the excellent mechanic and video work!
Thank-you
Stunning build , I used to ride these bikes quite a lot, whoever buys this one is very very lucky whatever the price , it’s like riding a new bike as far as I can see ,and that pipe is too die for, congratulations amazing job 🇬🇧🍀👍🙏
Thank-you
Dude.......wow! I watched the whole thing. Incredible and superb job. Well done buddy
Thankyou. Did you see your crossbar pad in the background ? :)
@@TNTMOTO I did. Love what you’ve done there. Glad you still have it man. Memories of back in the day. Looking forward to the new builds. You need to upload more for sure
My first 500 off the show room floor. So fast it took a year before I was able to control that bike without fear . Now I wish I had one great job on that bike
これは素晴らしいですね!
あなたのセンスが良い事が端々に現れていますよ!
89 is my favorite year for those monsters. We get a lot of resto work in my OHV shop, the 80s CRs, KXs, and RMs are my favorites. Great vid!
Great to see you back i was wondering where you'd got to. stunning job on the 500 i love the fact that you do a true restoration and make the bikes as oem as possible, it erks me how people say "restoration" and the finished product looks nothing like original. you're bikes are near enough to museum quality, looking forward to the two up 250s. Thanks for posting!!
Thank you
Congratulations, you is a great professional. Maurício Papaléo do Rio de Janeiro BRASIL
Thank you
Excellent work! Beautyful bike, I could have it in the living room instead of the garage
bike looks amazing, really great build!
Thankyou
I started to watch this on my phone ,, but quickly turned it off and switched to my tablet, your attention to detail and passion in your work deserved a watch on a big screen, really took me back to my racing days great job mate.
Thank-you
this guy put in so much work holy crap it looks amazing good job! the attention to detail is insane!
Thankyou for watching
Красавчик, дай бог тебе здоровья, что оживляешь такие легенды. Респект тебе и уважение от мотокросса Геленджика!!!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Excellent work! I had a 1990 CR500 back in 93, but I didn't have enough experience to make the most of its arm stretching power. This bike looks better than new. Looking forward to those CR250 builds.
Thankyou for watching.
I love your work on the cr 500 honda well done and I like watching you on all your bikes that you work on .iam gerard fields from Ireland 🇮🇪 well done .
Thank you
@@TNTMOTO I will be watching you tonight on newtube.
Just came across your channel and thought I’d say hello.you restore bikes how they should be restored and do amazing work.I’ve always been a fan of the older bikes especially the big bores.currently seeking a bike I had in high school,84 xr 500.currently I have an 03 kx 500 that I have restored with a few minor aftermarket parts and would love to find a 95 cr 500 to complete my collection.keep up the good work and videos 🤘🏻
Just sold my 84 XR500 a few months back. I had not ridden it in a year and needed something else more at this time. I will do an XR on the channel one day.
Awesome build! Great to see your projects progressing each time and to see a different perspective of these bike builds from my own. Each bike throws it unique challenges or "personality" at you and trying to find some of the parts can be very difficult. Things I have said in the garage when builds go wrong should never be heard, Lol. Great bike and video!
sem palavras !!!! 👍👍👍
Really a marvellous toy, great work 👌
Monster bike for sure.
Absolutely stunning restoration. I hope one day i can be as good as you at doing this with clapped out bike. Your work is flawless. Looking forward to the 2 cr250 builds.
Outstanding 🤌
Awesome...perfect...😮👍
I can’t believe all the hard work and effort you put into this bike, your skill is amazing. All your projects turn out amazing
Thank you very much for watching and commenting.
You sir are the real deal! Excellent video and restoration! Thank you for your time and effort!
Thankyou for watching
This has to be one of the best rebuilds in stock condition I’ve seen. Very impressive, I’d love to find a 94 KX 125 like I had back in the day and rebuild it
Bought that particular model brand new in 1989. Retail was $4,098, I paid $3,600 cash with heavy springs. The retail price increase between 1988 to 1989 was almost $800. Great bike, except for the Inverted fork which was grim.
That is so cool!
My buddy bought his 85 CR500 brand new and I was always jealous of how he would talk about the unboxing and setup he and his dad did. I’m sure it looked just like yours after he was done. My 86 was used when I bought it. We had great times on those machines!
I just purchased a 2002. Honda CR125R it’s a survival bike but needs a lot of TLC AND$$$ is 4000$ gets her done
Muy buen trabajo ...
Exquisite restoration! Lovely results, as it looks better than new. Nicely done, Sir!!!
Absolutely stunning work and an absolutely gorgeous machine top notch job 🤙🤙🤙🤙
im rebuilding a 90 cr250 and the way you beautified every single last part just blew me and my buddys brains right now. that thing is gorgeous and you are a master!
Thankyou very much for watching. Good luck on your 90 CR250 build.
You made one beautiful bike out of that pile of junk, just spectacular ! I wish I would have had a chance to buy it. Damn good work !!!
Makes me miss mine. I was a skinny little 16 year old kid back in 1990 when I had mine and that bike scared me to death every time I straddled it.
Best looking year for the CR. Not the crazy 90s pink, purple camouflage crap.
I'm what they call Now as OCD?? I Like to just like to Do everything RIGHT!!! You Did a Beautiful Job!! I want one or probably a 250cc I'm 57 and I'm my own worst enemy so. I grew up on Yamahas but my Pop had a 250 Enduro Suzuki brand new in 72. But I always wanted a CR 125 And now a 250. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!
We can't ignore this man starting this in his everyday shoes🔥 This man is him🥶 Love your work, keep it up King🙏🏽
Thankyou
Have always loved the straight two tone CRs they were ahead of their time.
Well done, My friend had a 1988 Cr500 he let me ride bring's back memorie's. The 1988 had old style fork's, not inverted that started in your 1989.
Love the vids man this was your best build by far 👌
In 1993 at 17yrs I had my first job. I brought a
1989 CR250 & 1990 XR600 and thay sat next to each other in the garage.
I had my priorities rite
The bright red CR’s with the white graphics were damn sharp bikes
Amen dude
What a iconic bike I call a stump puller, first and last one I rode was a brand new 92 cr 500 what a beast a bike that separates the men from the boys 💪
Awesome I love it that’s the bike I used to race with back in 80s till early 90s in Europe thanks for the video unforgettable memories I can still smell that mix👍
I'm still looking for a side case for my88 cr 125 the water pump ate through the interior water jacket.
FAVORITE BIKE EVER I WANT A 80cc 125cc 250cc & 500cc THE ABSOLUTE 🐐 IN MY OPINION 🫡‼️
O how I love the 500...TH-cam needs to come up with a smell ad on. Smell the 2 stroker...
I'm a big fan of older two strokes. (250 and larger). I liked the geometry of them not having a " flat top" seat ÷ tank.
I found the best way to align the forks to tighten up the front wheel,, (get the forks parallel), was to face off both ends of a 5.661" long, (for my 2019 YS250 2-stroke), 1" diameter aluminum round stock. Then with the disk side clamp tight and the wheel off the ground, I put that piece between the plated legs as low as I can go, (through my brake disk), and use a rubber mallet to tap over the loose fork leg until the bar stock is tight, (and straight), and tighten the last clamp. Wiggle it out gently, (put some grease on the clean ends if you want, but that bar stock will not hurt the hard plating.), and your fork legs will be parallel with in + or - .001", for a smoother action and less bushing wear. I did it some YT way at first, but after I did get them parallel,---I actually had to go to stiffer springs, because the fork binding had acted like stiffer springs.
SO ENVY YOUR SKILLS! BEAUTIFUL JOB SIR. ❤
Can’t stand it when people put there handle bars on first before everything else, because I always find I hit my head on them 24/7 during the build 😑
Good job guy, you're so versatil!!! I have un CR too... so interesting. See you at the next video!
That’s a work of art! Only ever had CR 250’s I hope to ride a big 5 one day ✊🏻
Awesome 👌 brave man kicking that over with just a running shoe lol yickes
RM500 always the bestest💛💙💛💙💛💙😀
It came out beautiful, great video!
You are absolutely amazing what you can do taking your time paying attention to every detail WOW 😮
I could see these selling for $50K when us Gen Xer's start getting into retirement. What a masterpiece, hats off to your attention to detail and hard work.
Thank you
Good lord this is a sweet build. First time on your channel and I’m impressed. 89 CRs are some of the best looking bikes ever made to this day. Someday I hope to have an 89.
Forgot to mention how much dedication you have. So much hand sanding!
Thank you for watching. I greatly appreciate the comments.
Where did you get those stickers on the radiator shroud plastic pieces. That was an amazing build!!!

I loved this.... I had the 89 CR500R. Mine was restored as well. I will ad a pic if I can.
Great job! This is definitely your best build. You plated parts and refurbished what you could. I enjoyed seen the progress as always.
Thankyou. The next two will be even better.
I have no idea where you can find the gaskets and new parts for that old of bike?
But definitely was a marvelous rebuild!
She sounds crispy ❤!!! As good as the day it rolled out the factory, probably better!
Respect. I do similar techniques and I know how much work it take🙄😀
I have an 89 cr 250 that was recently rebuilt that I bought new from the dealer, a 1 owner and still own
very nice work, congratulations

very nice work, congratulations
Beautiful work, much respect 👍
Been a subscriber for a long time and I'm amazed at your attention to detail and how great your bikes look when you are finished awesome job..Hopefully one day I can buy one of these fine bikes you are building..love the older CR's!!!

Bought this bike brand new back in the day, road it hard until I bought a 91..good times
Great build what a beast I remember these bikes when I was in my teens what a machine thanks for your video great work and attention to detail.
I graduated 5th grade in 1989 and I got my 89 CR80 not a big boy like the 500 but I loved that bike …
Le cose che vorrei nel mio garage sono: una Ferrari F40, una Lancia delta S4 e una Honda CR 500 cross 2 tempi.
It’s absolutely a beautiful machine better than showroom condition
😂😂😂falso. Al final armo otra moto
?
Awesomeness lm in australia would love that 500 excellent work you are fantastic.
Great video!!, I watched it two times!!!, I can not wait for the cr250 builds to Start!, have two 82's, a 87,92,&a 94, all cr250's, also my pride and joy a 81yz465, all are fun to ride, just not enough time in day, like it was in the old days for me, in the late70's,80's & 90's, I rode some thing two wheels every day!, Thanks again for bringing us along in your day with all your builds, I have learned so much from you!!!, Charlie in Pensacola, Fl,.
I don’t say this often, but when I do, I mean it, you, sir are a true craftsman and the effort you put into this 500r build, tells me that you must’ve had one long ago
My hats off to you.
Thank you for watching and the comment.
Wow! Just wow! I enjoyed watching this much!
Rather own it than new 4 stroke fart machine. Give me an angry swarm of bees any day and twice on sunday(raceday)
