- hey guys this is my dream 2 stroke dirt bike build time lapse KTM 300XC, this is the dirt bike build inspired by the dirt bike in my country colors 2016 KTM 300 XC Six Days Slovakia edition. That is a BEAUTIFUL build. It all flows so well together as if a professional designer did it on CAD first.
Best KTM 300XC build on TH-cam!! Perhaps one of the cleanest builds ever from top to bottom. Every nut and bolt, paint surface, greased part, to the plastic body parts was brought back to new state if not new. KTM would have been proud to use this bike at the 6 day event in Slovakia.
This is the best rebuild I have ever seen! Well done Rado!

Great Job, great quality machine.
There are 2 iron rules I learned in 30 years of motorcycle restoring:
One - Every bolt/nut that goes back in place must get a light lubrication, even if only a drop of oil.
The second - each new paper gasket that is replaced, must be lightly oiled/greased. This contributes to sealing and in the future will facilitate disassembly (which will come again, sooner or later).

Great build. I raced professional motocross in the 1970’s. Bultaco, Puch, Husky, Jawa, Maico, Montesa, CZ, and others. I raced a Montesa 125 and CZ400. Love 2 strokes. I am much older with street bikes now. KTM Super Duke and MV AGusta Dragster 800rr. I missed 2 strokes so recently bought a 2022 YZ 85. I am 150 pounds,5’7”. Just wanted a trail bike that I could flat foot. For my age it’s perfect.

When I was in college, I made a custom motocross with the basic Yamaha Vixion 2012. With the concept like KTM 6 DAY 2016. But now the motorbike is at the police station because it was involved in an accident. Hopefully I'll get a job again soon, so I can build the bike back into my dream bike.

You know? I have good friend and he also doing engine build about 5-7 per morth, he never use touque tools, but i several times check his tightened bolts with tool and really was surprised when it was same as tool tighten... You doing good things... because you give second live for our lovely machine... right now i am also busy with rebuild project...

SWEET Build a super clean dirk bike and then rip-up the dirt with it!!! NICE. Just finished the 4th from the ground up rebuild of my 1975 Honda CB750F. Leaving in 2days on a 3K. road trip. RURUPUPUP LOL Never stop using

Red thread locker saves lives.
Some bolts that need red thread locker:
-Foot beg bolts to frame
-Handlebar and handlebar clamp
-Axle and brake caliper and brake disc bolts (don't get it in the bearings or on the brake discs).
-All engine bolts inside the engine, especially parts threaded directly into the case of the engine.
-Example: Suzuki DR650 neutral indicator "falls out" inside the engine, due to the factory not using thread locker, and it can destroy or lock up the engine while driving.
-Crankshaft big end rod caps (on 4 stroke multi-cylinder bikes).
-Shift drum bolts
-Timing chain tension bolts
-Timing chain guide bolts
-Camshaft sprocket
-Engine case bolts. Thread locker is better than accidentally over tightening. For streetbikes that aren't taken apart often. (Place black silicone on both sides of the gasket, clean case with acetone first. Use red thread locker. Snug bolts slightly less than torque spec to prevent damage to case).
