My life. Yoyoing between hopeful for a lucky break of something good and positive for once while being painfully aware that won't happen and begging to be pulled out of the air crash/lake cause I'm standing on the edge always damn near one more bad thing away from snapping
Heard this song last night on my Spotify playlist. Kept thinking it was "Standing on the edge of the road." Then again, I love my version more being about depression and just "standing on the edge of the road" to life as the person continplates suicide from years of abuse that the person has suffered.
it´s their logo it came out by the time of Kid A (btw a great album ) and is I read that the logo came out of a brief obsession of Thom and Stanley about genetic modification. "Modified Bears" appear a lot in the Kid A secret booklet and other artwork from that time
Steve Hunter Nah, it's "lake". It relates to everything that could go wrong, had he not been "Lucky" (the Aircrash, the lake, etc.) these tragedies could have happened. He insinuates that his luck is at the point where, for example, even someone like the president calling him personally isn't important enough for him. He's had such a lucky streak ("I'm on a roll") that he no longer even takes the possible tragedies into consideration. Again, the aircrash, which, though extremely uncommon, would require some form of bad luck to happen. The lake, presumably drowning, is also very rare. This, again, takes a whole lot of bad luck to happen. Lastly, "Standing on the edge" is a metaphor for impeding doom, which, again, would require a change in Thom's luck to occur, which is unplausible to him at this point. This is also why he claims he's somewhat of a superhero to "Sarah"; though things in his everyday life may or may not be going wrong, he'll always have that special someone to "rescue" when the time is necessary.

I love this
I’m here because of Six Feet Under
Kill me again with love
Always thought it was "Kill me, sirrah"
It's Sarah; but it's also 'pull me out of the wake', rather than 'lake'. ;)
