I can't listen to Let Down. After my younger brother passed, my now wife and I were in my parents house alone and that song came on in his room. Part of me loves that song because of him. The other part hates it, because I miss him. Radiohead hits a spot.

@@theangledsaxon6765 I know that! I just tried to make a joke (I know, I 'm not funny) and present my thoughts and feelings at the end of the video at the same time
That kinda reminds me of a moment in which I was dealt a matter of poor judgement by judges. When I ran track in my younger days I can remember winning a race and was awarded the wrong ribbon. Not only was the ribbon incorrect, but it was for 3rd place on top of that. I looked at the judge, and he looked at me with a shrug, accompanied with a frown, and then I just stared at the ribbon. I didn’t protest the rendering, object or even correct the person. I actually held on to the ribbon, displayed it, etc for a while. Ultimately, I just threw it in the trash because no one cared.

dude, that bus accident scene is absolutely insane. There is no sound, but it’s filmed and edited in such a way that you can feel and almost hear the impact. Astounding filmmaking.
I frame-by-framed it and the way they run and react to it is done really well. The arc of the run, the facial expressions / turn of mother's head. It's hard hitting alright. Being critical, the kids arm disappears in an unexpected way, but works perfectly at full pace.
I'm sure I've commented on this video before, but still to this day it's one of the most powerful, well directed and most heart-wrenchingly wonderful videos I've ever seen. This is true art. I don't know why it's not more popular that it is, and I recommend everyone sit through it at least once in their life, even if you don't listen to Radiohead.
Most people don't want to think about the harsh realities of life more than they have to. That's why heavy, thoughtful things like this will never be mainstream. However, we should celebrate the normies not wanting to be part of this.
We all interpret art such as this in our own way. I realize that I do not have the verbal ability to express how wonderful this interpretation makes me feel.. so I will not try beyond saying that I really like it.
It's astounding isn't it? I've watched it a couple of times over the years myself. It's quite rare to have a video match the profundity of Radiohead's music, but this actually excels the impact of the song. There is no competition when it comes to which medium is the best for creating art. It doesn't matter what you use. What matters is the inspiration behind the art. And I can't help but think this was made by someone who has suffered themselves or knew someone close to them who suffered in the same way our protagonist in this video suffers. It's devastatingly good! (beyond tragedy) It reminds me of a scene from the series Six Feet Under when Brenda is talking about how we have the word 'Widow/Widower' for someone who loses their spouse, we have the word 'Orphan' for someone who loses their parents, but she asks: "What is the name for someone who loses their child? I guess that is just too awful to be given a name." Dedicate 5 seasons of your time to Six Feet Under if you haven't already. My favourite series ever. With love Dully

The cycle of modern life, scary for some, adventurous for others, at the end we all end in the same road and to look back and regret what we could have change. We are truly mysterious creatures…. I love it… bless you all!
I came here after discovering my love for this song in the movie "The Creator" and I can't help but feeling I was meant to find this video. I've struggled to find my purpose, my reason. This video is now a milestone in my life, helping me to better understand that Life is not about the destination, it's about the journey itself. When surrounded by cold darkness, climb, claw, kick...reach for the light. Always reach for the light. Thanks to the Universe for guiding me here.
time to time i come here to listern to this song, what a song this is, what a video this is. just, wow ! and you have 2 minutes to glaze into a dark reflective screen of yourself and to think about life and how quickly verything can change.
I've played this repeatedly until I can finish it all without tears. I'm better. The Creator brought me here and on a discovery of Radiohead, Thom, the creative process and ultimately inward. Inspired genius.
Brings me back to 15 years or so ago when my son and I drove to New Mexico for Thanksgiving with our family. I had waited for him to get off his swing shift and we took off in the middle of the night to make the 8 hour trip. We listened to mostly my son’s music and he was into Radiohead. This beautiful song immediately connected with me as we drove through the night on the deserted New Mexico desert and the melancholic feeling of loneliness yet closeness to family that this song inspires. Always brings me back to that place with my son. Seeing this video for the first time brings the bittersweet cycle of life and family all home for me.
Absolutely incredible. I came on TH-cam this morning just to listen to the song, and by chance watched this. Life is so bittersweet and as a man in my early 50s this is so true. Completely blew me away.
I discovered this song yesterday. I have had friends that were total Radiohead freaks. I never listened much. The song gripped me from the moment I heard the intro on Rick Beato’s 20 best keyboard intros. Somehow this song is in the category of Mahler’s 3rd symphony for me -it is somehow the protoplasm of life and some primordial soup. And it makes me want to vomit at the same time, because it is the pain of loss and what could have been and yet what always is. I can’t stop listening to it. The video I think captures this.
Thanks for those two links, i will watch them. I also am not a huge radiohead fan, though i admire their spirit. One song of theirs i do love love love is this one. I hope you enjoy it also.th-cam.com/video/LwE4LNP8zsI/w-d-xo.html And here's a bonus brilliant song that i discovered last week and have heard 100 times already. th-cam.com/video/JnPvnIKCJYA/w-d-xo.html Look up the story behind it. The male singer is dead, and this song was never meant to be released.
For me this song reminds me that. Although humans choose to create a choatic, divided world for themselfs. And no matter what may be happening or going on on earth, everything is as it should be. Everything already is perfect, in paradise, & infinite. The rest mere illusion. This song reminds me of the truth I learned when i was on psychedelics. Everything is difrent and new specially with dmt
I just discovered this song yesterday too. Until then my knowledge of Radiohead was limited to popular music radio. This is SO much better. Powerful and intense
I'll admit, I'm not a huge Radiohead fan myself but there is something about this song that really does it for me. For one, unlike the theme of this video, it never gets old. It is the perfect compliment to it as it adds even more depth and perspective to the meaning of life and how fragile it is. Tons of self-reflection after watching this one. Major kudos to whoever made this. Powerful stuff!!!
Wow. I think this music video shows how Radiohead makes people want to try harder. Their music inspires so many people do make the best creative stuff they possibly can.

This is the best short films w/ music I’ve ever seen. So well done and the EMOTION is so Intense it’s just beautifully done. My Best to The Creator of this! I cry every time I see this and I’m not typically like that but it’s deeply psychological and really hits those emotional strings..
crying out loud...no I am bawling!!! This about sums up life in a video! Incredibly touching. Maybe its not my exact life but I can relate to the passing of time and memories of love lost.
I’m not one to cry, ever really, but the first time I watched this video and every time since that I’ve revisited it, it has moved me to tears. It gives me chills, disturbs me with its message of inevitability, and yet is somehow cathartic at the same time. That use of perspective is everything. I can’t even put into words how this video transformed this song for me. I’m very glad it’s still available.
I can't tell you how many times I've watched this. Each time I watch it I feel like I am in a different part of my life and I appreciate it more. My mom just passed and seeing the "grieving" part hits home... it's hard to get out of that dark place. It almost consumes you if you let it. Grief is a tsunami that just keeps hitting you. With time I hope to be able to sail above the storm..
You will brother.... I know the feeling. It will take a year to accept it. Then you will realize she never left you, and she has become a part of you. And you will sail bravely through the storm.

The fact that this is so relatable to everyone really shows that we should not place people in to boxes.
What do you mean by placed people in boxes?
@@jackbarry6859 hard to explain but the way this film portays his life is near identical to mine.
Right. Like, you wanna be that guy who says this is where you belong?😂
Obviously certain commenters are not at our level, but I agree. The categorization, segregation separation and dividing lines between so many people whether it's red and blue or black and white or rich and poor. Strip it all down we're all the same. Never put yourself into a box or let anybody put you in one
@@LR_84let me guess: a series of random unexplained coincidental but fateful events that amounted to you being the person you are today. Except you couldn't see it when you were in it you only realized it after you were out
I heard Radiohead play this song live in 2008 Amsterdam at the Westergasfabriek. I got overwhelmed by sadness and I asked: "Wow, what song is this?!". Now, in 2023 I see this video and hear this song again and get overwhelmed by sadness once again. But somehow, I now get a new feeling that I'm not alone. Thnx Radiohead and thnx fan who made the video
You really not alone !
try the Andi Müller mix. I played it in many many sets of me. Such a beautyful masterpiece. Gets never old
The cycle of modern life, scary for some, adventurous for others, at the end we all end in the same road and to look back and regret what we could have change.
Wonderful comment.
I believe you will enjoy the poem Ithaca from Cavafy.
May you have a joyful trip.
time to time i come here to listern to this song, what a song this is, what a video this is. just, wow ! and you have 2 minutes to glaze into a dark reflective screen of yourself and to think about life and how quickly verything can change.
Same, everything in its right place. life
I heard this again recently in the movie The Creator and had to come back here and watch this afterwards. Such a dope song and I love this video
Very powerful video, so moving. Many of us will recognize how fragile we are. None of us are immune to the pain that life has in store for all of us.
I m not going to lie, the first time I watched it I cried. Now after watching it several times I am still crying, deadly combination
just saw it first time .. me too 😭😭
Same here bro
I cry each time too
I cry each time too
What is the name of the movie
I've played this repeatedly until I can finish it all without tears. I'm better. The Creator brought me here and on a discovery of Radiohead, Thom, the creative process and ultimately inward. Inspired genius.
One of the best videos ever made. One of the best songs ever made. Period.
A friend shared this video with me and I couldn't be so grateful to be ugly crying right now. This hits right in the feels. Nicely shot and executed.
This is the most beautiful thing that has ever been uploaded to TH-cam.
Nah this video should be THE official video. I'm absolutely moved. The sheer spectacle of it all, absolutely mesmerizing!
This makes my spine tingle every time. Completely removes me from myself for a a little moment. The bass drum synchronizes with my heart beat
Absolutely incredible. I came on TH-cam this morning just to listen to the song, and by chance watched this. Life is so bittersweet and as a man in my early 50s this is so true. Completely blew me away.
Hi I recommend an indie song and video called 'Looking Into The Mirror' By Robert Nix

Look up the story behind it.
I come back to this- year after year. It’s so beautiful and humbles me. What a portrait of a life. Be kind to yourselves out there
I come back to this every few months. Still can’t believe this is fan made. Honestly one of the best and most fitting music videos ever in my opinion.
Wow. I think this music video shows how Radiohead makes people want to try harder. Their music inspires so many people do make the best creative stuff they possibly can.
the kind of clip that makes you think. This clip is a masterclass
I've watched this video once every few weeks for like 2 years now because it just sticks with you. It's amazing to be this isn't even the original music video and an edit
I love how the music, lyrics, and vid goes so well. Like, you are destined to do, react, experience everything that happens. Therefore, everything in its right place. Just a crazy perspective this vid gives me
That black screen at the end. Suddenly just staring at my reflection.

My god this is absolutely perfect. Life is short. Throws curveballs. Enjoy it
Thanks so much for the reupload!

If this is fan-made, I hope that fan has been tracked down and given the chance to pursue their craft... brilliant
Agree, it's so brilliant and beautiful
It’s a short film. I’m not sure who edited it but yup definitely agree

My mom just passed and seeing the "grieving" part hits home... it's hard to get out of that dark place. It almost consumes you if you let it. Grief is a tsunami that just keeps hitting you. With time I hope to be able to sail above the storm..

Hi I recommend a song & Video Called 'Where I Come From' By Robert Nix
This is astounding! I've watched it a couple of times over the years and struggle to get to the end without my eyes getting damp.
(beyond tragedy)
It reminds me of a scene from the series Six Feet Under when Brenda is talking about how we have the word 'Widow/Widower' for someone who loses their spouse, we have the word 'Orphan' for someone who loses their parents, but she asks: "What is the name for someone who loses their child? I guess that is just too awful to be given a name."
Dedicate 5 seasons of your time to Six Feet Under if you haven't already. My favourite series ever.
With love

I balled so hard at the end of the series. When Dexter saw is husband again - I don't remember the names anymore but it just really hit something.
Holy wow! This music video is beautifully tragic, and sooo well done. Bravo.
I think this is my all time favorite song, and I watched this video for the first time today. Blown away. Took multiple viewings to get the full meaning, but just spectacular. Whoever made this, I hope is getting the accolades they deserve.
This is quality. First time I watched me and my daughter cried like baby's. Great job. ART.
That was so emotional, came here after hearing a clip of this song on a turntable cartridge comparison. Didn't know I'd be crying on this Sunday though.
God Bless You, King 😇
Beautiful. Also thanks for the time at the end, enough for me to cry and recompose..
What an incredible video. Worthy of any other Radiohead videos. Powerful storytelling 🙏🏻

May this Song help us all understand a little more about the many meanings of our lifes and how important is to meditate towards a greater good. For Us and towards the World. This is the way.
To go a little less painfully when time comes??
This is the way.
@@mikhael.j7 life is pain and suffering..it is more about embracing the journey that we have so to find meaning even in the darkest days. The time will come anyway but only those whom have done the journey wisely will welcome it painlessly and with grace.
