. . . "rain down, rain down, Come on rain down on me. From a great height, from a great height . . ." Radiohead is one of the most dynamic bands that I have had the pleasure of listening to. From "Pablo Honey" to "Hail To The Thief" (the CDs that I once owned) and beyond; they are such a dynamic band who are hard to define, which is why I like them.
It's live from a BBC studio recording in 1996, before OK Computer was officially released to the public, so not really live, but its still done in one take.
This song is effing mayham..so much going on..its godless it has no order ..like quantum material sitting in a pot drawing random noises..apsolute mayham...fucking EPIC..i love it..how can a song from such disorder be sublime..

+lifeson90 No. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is too weak and too kitsch. People of Radiohead admitted they took their inspiration in "Happiness Is a Warm Gun", from the Beatles, who had a three-parts structure. It was a song of 1968 (far before "Bohemian Rhapsody"). The chord sequence in the first part reminds "Rain", a song of the wonderful Pretty Things' album PARACHUTE.
Greatest song in Rock n roll history. It's literally 4 banging ass $ongs in 1. What song can you put up against it? They have literally stacked the deck.rock on brothers
Yeah cause every song writter who took lsd wrote such powerful music. . I think that's a pretty toxic thought to summarize this song that way, lsd ain't gonna give you no magic songwritting powers. You jus't can't resume a band to a fucking drug if you're truly enjoying the music they do. We'll, unless you're twelve, i guess.
I'm from a country founded in 2147 called Plookthorp. This became the national anthem, and as a result has garnered nearly 3 billion views (although the views are hidden nowadays because TH-cam and Google say that showing view counts is ableist and racist)
I recently made a list of the top 500 songs of all time. This song was my pick for number one. Here's my description on Rate Your Music: "If you've looked through this list, my choice for the number one song ever probably won't surprise you. Of all the songs I've heard in my life, none of them (not even by Eurythmics, Björk or even Radiohead's other songs) can send me to the place this song does. "Paranoid Android" is the pinnacle of all songs. It's the perfect blend of beauty, anger, confusion, wonder, irony, transcendence, human tragedy and hopelessness, and ultimate "fuck all of you assholes" spiritual awakening! It truly sends an open mind through the universe of human emotions. Somehow, Radiohead gives dystopia a rare view that's equally beautiful and terrifying. The first two minutes are the most beautiful two minutes I've ever heard. I'm not lying when I say that I can't listen to it without choking up. I've played the song hundreds of times, and it fills my senses and emotions every time. After the blissed out two minutes, the song takes a mood swing and the new direction shows off the talents of every band member with the amazing Philip Selway leading the way with his stellar percussion talents. While Thom spits lyrics about more assholes (or squealing Gucci little piggies, as he likes to call them) the new direction is suddenly interrupted with Johnny Greenwood's chainsaw electric guitar attack, and with Thom screaming "Why don't you remember my name?", the boys stay in their nearly perfect "acid rock" detour for just long enough before you're dropped into the abyss. The next minute and a half is a totally different "suite" that bathes in the healing power of falling rain, and it feels like an awakening of sorts even as it slips back into hell as Thom slurs "The panic, the vomit, the panic, the vomit, god loves his children, god loves his children, yeah!" And then another attack by Johnny that leads into one of the strangest, most creative guitar solos ever, before the whole thing abruptly stops. Tell me this song is like "Bohemian Rhapsody" one more time, and I might panic and vomit! It's the ultimate journey through every feeling felt and not felt by humans. A masterpiece of masterpieces. And there you have it. I said it. Let it be known. Ha!
So I'm on the bus a week ago about to listen to this song, and dude behind me goes,:" I love Radio Head they're one of my favorite bands" so I ask him what his favorite song is, he says Creep ( LMFAO) SO I tell him mine is Paranoid Android, he looks at me strange,I tell him I also love Fake Plastic Trees, he gives me the same look again. Then he has the nerve to say "I've never heard of those before, I think ur making it up" MIND BLOWN😣🙄
Thom yorke said that he once was in a bar and a woman started getting violent and screaming at a man cause he accidentally spilled his drink over her clothes. He said he was terrified by that experience, and that he couldn't sleep at night because of the look that woman had in her eyes. The song is inspired by that, and that's where the lines "Please could you stop the noise I'm trying to get some rest" and "Kicking, squealing Gucci little piggy" come from. There are references to other things too, but i guess the song meaning is open for personal interpretation and i don't wanna go too deep. Hope i helped you even if i didn't explain it in a very detailed way :)

I get goosebumps Every. Single. Time.
I feel like I became a paranoid android whenever hearing this mad masterpiece.
Pink Pink tyyryyeeeyeyeyryr
This and “creep” made me stronger when I was a teenager. Iv always rooted for the underdog. Radiohead made me see things others do not. I feel good.
This has to definitely be a live version
Nope ,sounds like he recorded it off his phone to reupload
@@TheJulioGulio no it's definitely live

@@jamesm.3829 Dude I made that comment a year ago 💀
For reference, I believe this is the Maida Vale Studios (London) version, performed on May 28, 1997. It's a personal favorite.
It was a live version for BBC 1.

I fricking adore guitar solos like this one.
I LOVE THIS
👌👌👌
I love having a lyric video for this song because it's so important to have the music along with the lyrics because the structure fluctuates so much.
Somehow I find this is better than Bohemian Rhapsody
Radiohead's Bohemian Rhapsody. It's 3 songs put into one, but they all merge so well. I love Paranoid Android so much
same
Bohemian rhapsody is ass
Well Bohemian Rhapsody is good but it's not some unbeatable masterpiece, not weird to like other songs more lol
I LOVE THIS SONG
2:51 I feel like I've heard that sound effect in spongebob somewhere.
Has anyone ever awaken to your whole body buzzin like a fridge? I did. What a trip.

The Rumor Rat wtf

When a songwriter takes LSD you get Radiohead
Actually you get The Beatles after 1967
Sad to say this is probably like what would happen on some forms of opioids
This'll be heroin mainly at least early Thom Yorke
Radiohead don't do drugs

I always thought "ambition makes you look pretty ugly" was "your shits make you look pretty ugly"
Musicsavedme Ultimately, Thom said part of the motivation was when he saw some Gucci wearing woman berating the staff/people at a restaurant/bar.
