Wish i would have found this the other night. Just did a one shot at lvl 12, and was trying to figure out a new Shadow Monk/Twilight Cleric build. I never even considered dipping out for Shadow Blade. I ended up playing a Hexblade Samurai, which was good but also wasnt what i was looking for in the character I was playing. Hope your channel grows, and ill drop a sub. Especially as I see Rogue is coming up lol.
dark feywild elves/shadar kai are famous of using spiked chains so i would use a whip (you get any weapon prof through trance) and convert it to a monk weapon with dedicated weapon so you can stunning strike at range and for fun flavor
Currently playing a Shadar Kai fighter. Originally planned to multiclass Samurai and Fey Wanderer so my highest stats are dex and wisdom. Decided to go Shadow Monk to cheese those sweet teleports. Only at level 2 right now. Planning on battlemaster 6, Shadow Monk 6, Fey Wanderer 3. Then monk 9, then Fey wanderer 5. Grabbing all the feats along the way like Fey touched early on. Gift of gem dragon or shadow touched then elven accuracy and skill expert. She has no charisma 😅, but Fey wanderer will help that toward end game character arc. It’s not super powerful, but I get a lot of options and bumps to defense and, eventually, attacks, but also multiple attacks, reaction options, and mobility. Already started off great at level 1 teleporting behind the enemy and launching an attack to the table going crazy not realizing some races can teleport at level 1 😅

Man it must be nice getting such high stats at your tables. Have a 19 in your highest stat at level one is crazy lol
It is for sure. Our monsters are scaled accordingly though so it kinda evens out

Basically my build for my Shadow Monk. But I invested entirely into Shadow Sorcerer instead of Warlock. At least originally. I changed it a year later

Just a heads up. Devil sight is still only a max range of 120ft of vision through magical darkness, even with twilight cleric.
Good call. Usually that is still going to be more than enough so hopefully that gap won't be a problem too often
