- Pokémon Legends Z-A is the next major instalment in the franchise and everyone’s wondering; what three Pokémon will the game give us to choose from for our starters? Today I’m gonna be going over some of my personal picks for the game!

Okay, hear me out. How about the starters for legends ZA is the kalos starters (froakie, fennekin and chespin). Instead of game freak giving them different forms, they will have mega evolutions. It is really weird that the starters of the region where mega evolution originated didnt have mega forms in the first place.
I kinda had this in my mind as a theory B for the starters. Would totally make sense tbh.
I think regular Meganium should already be fairy type
And have its hidden ability changed to misty surge

As long as we don't get anymore Ghost, Dark or Fighting type starters I'm happy. There are a lot of cool unrepresented types for starters like Rock, Electric, Dragon, Bug, or Ice. There's so much potential for a Fire/Rock starter that uses Magma or a Water/Dragon starter based off of a Mosasaur.
I would predict Snivy, Piplup and maybe Scorbunny? they match the Kalos region, especially Piplup and its evolution - Empoleon, which is based on the french emperor Napoleon
You're also forgetting the starters from x and y play possibility because this will be Pokemon Z as well as a Legends game
I’m expecting it to be like Legends Arceus, where we’re able to catch the region’s native starters in the wild and then get a separate selection of starters at the beginning of the game. But who knows, maybe we’ll get just Kalos starters and megas for them
I just want a region to have all returning Pokemon be new regional forms give me something familiar but new.
Honestly, as someone who has the compulsion to complete the pokedex every game, I don’t even want that anymore. Too many Pokémon! X&Y dex completion was awfullll. 😭
I think we can also remove the Sinnoh starters since they were in the last Legends game and most people had used them in BDSP.
I'm personally leaning towards Snivy being inspired by French Royalty
Popplio evolving into a Mime instead of going from clown to opera singer. I know people are thinking Piplup but it just seems too soon imo
And Scorbunny being based on the French style of football/soccer.
I don’t think we can write off Sinnoh starters fully cause we got Rowlet (gen 7) in PLA (gen 8). So how recently the starters were last spotlighted in a game doesn’t seem to be a big factor. That said, I don’t think we’ll get a Sinnoh starter just because there’s other starters that deserve a new coat of paint

Haha no way! I haven’t even watched Lockstin’s video yet, only person’s I’ve watched was MandJ’s. Didn’t want to be sub-consciously influenced by others’ picks.
