- Hi El Paso, we're back with a brand new episode! 🌞 Join us as we take a peek into our city's history in the Mexican Revolution and learn about the famous revolutionaries who spent time in our neighborhoods.
EL PASO is like a hug from your grandmother , it's home.✌️
thanks for interesting video on El Paso and its roll in the Revolution. would love to do a walking tour of your great City and learn more about the history of Poncho Villa.
Love El Paso! So much history! Love the mountain and the desert!
I’m a huge fan of your book Ringside Seat to a Revolution! Agree that our rich history needs to be taught in all of our schools. If only everyone who lives here knew our rich, beautiful history..
Great Presentation. This was a very interesting historical presentation of El Paso's History. I grew up in El Paso back in the 60's. I have fond memories of growing up there.
I attended UTEP and my career
Grew up in Sunset neighborhood in El paso in the late 70s through late 80's It was so cool to have lived in houses or apartments that were historic buildings, creepy at Halloween though😂
Our real history
El Paso, Texas! What a great city with a fascinating history. The Old West! John Wesley Hardin shot dead in the Acme Saloon by Deputy City Marshal John Selman. Selman in turn shot dead by Deputy U.S. Marshal George Scarborough who was shot dead by, I forgot the perpetrator's name. The Battle for Juarez during the Mexican Revolution (spectators sat on top of railroad cars to watch the battle) Pancho Villa, Carranza, Obregon, Miguel Acosta, General Huerta (a scoundrel who had engineered the assassination of the recently elected Mexican President Francisco Madero) and so many more. And "El Paso Saddlery", still handmaking leather gunbelts and holsters since the 1880's. They had made holsters for John Wesley Hardin and other famous lawmen and outlaws. A great city.
Love my city!!
Good video. In 1927, most historians would agree revolution was over for ten years; 1910-1920. Do something on the Christero war, too!
We need to push our history here in El Paso.
We have so much potential here but our government holds us back and wants to turn buildings with such Rich history into parking lots
We however don't need compare swarms of migrant breaking the laws by crossing illegally. That was back during the revolution they actually were escaping war n persecution. What going on now is not same thing it's a bunch of people from different parts of the world not just Central and South America that are coming here not to work but they're coming in here for handouts in a free living courtesy of our tax dollars I am so disgusted that guy compared that going on today to the historical event that happened back then during the revolution I'm saying that as a Mexican
So crucial having this history from Professor Romo's perspective on TH-cam. Hopefully you all will be able to provide proper Spanish subtitles for this
awesome!!!!! amazing work!!
Viva Pancho villa
thank you for this video
i wish El Paso was in California , i miss El Paso but i don't miss Texas .
Why is that ?
For real Texas sucks we here in El Paso have nothing in common with them. Miss the beach- say hello to Hermosa/Manhattan.
