Come and visit Central Texas. Somehow, Tex-Mex cuisine embraced a wonderful Puerto Rican dish, Carne Guisada. Breakfast Tacos or a plateful with Beans, Rice & Tortillas. I love it for any meal of the day.

I live in Austin but I was born and raised in El Paso next time I need you to drive a little outside the city limits when your head back east El Paso to a small suburb called Horizon and go to a hidden gem not even all the locals know about called Tacos El Charley and get a mix of different tacos . Also if you’re in far east El Paso there is a Mexican bakery that outdoes even the OG bakeries called El Prado bakery it’s something you can’t go without trying.

I have lived in El Paso and surrounding area most of my life, there are great places to visit and good food if you know where to look. El Paso has an amazing cost of living a dollar goes a long way. It's funny to me that most people who visit or even live here just see what was shown in this video. This video makes El Paso look like a dry depressing desert. Come to the Westside of El Paso, upper valley is beautiful and lush due to it being along the Rio Grande, not including the country club, etc. Great restaurants from Sunset street to Cimarron area. Take the old country road towards Las Cruces and all you see is beautiful homes and farmland and vineyards not including the quaint town of Old Mesilla with tons of history and good food. My family and myself love to travel and El Paso helps us afford that due to the low cost of living not to mention we have a decent international airport.
