St louis was a top 5 large city in america: manhattan, brooklyn, chicago, st louis, philly and boston and baltimore were top 7 (not in order) now st louis has under 300k people
Why doesn’t St.Louis build new public bath houses for homeless people with set hours? It doesn’t look like any city has any solutions to eradicate the homeless at least help keep them clean.
@@taylornovak2892 it's called profit motive. If something doesn't make money, it's not worth doing. If a person has no money, they're worthless. There's no need to bathe or house worthless "people". (just so we're clear, this doesn't represent my views. it does represent what capitalists' bootlickers might as well believe, even if they don't say it out loud.)
Oooh people in then had such a fascination with people. To put them on display like animals in a zoo will always boggle my brain. To think they thought people weren’t people because their skin wasn’t white and their societies didn’t have advancements we did at the time is sick. Very thankful we have expanded so much as a society.
There was no reason and I mean no reason that woman had to jump in your opener she could of just kept running along but no she made sure to be seen lol
My family owned a printing company in St Louis during this time. My great-grandfather worked for the street department.
Love these videos. My great grandfather was a violinist in the St. Louis orchestra.
Our Wydown yearbook was named "the Igorote " after the Philipino exhibition because Wydown school was built on the site of their exhibition.
What a treat to see Professor Wendel’s smiling face!
So interesting!
great series , my great great grandfather moved to saint louis in 1856 from Germany
Despite all of its warts, I will always love St Louis.
Again thank you for the guide and info. The real st. Louis, thanks!
13:40 He looks like that Boss Buttler guy
I really dislike that the “Scott Joplin” house has been renamed.
agreed
For what reason was it renamed? He’s a Missouri Legend!
@@MrEmperorApples My apologies. It’s still there, but there’s also another museum around the corner from it. I had them confused.
@@The_Queprint phew! Thank you for the clarification! Much obliged

I have thought the exact same thing. How have we gone backwards?

Good idea.
Those weren't for homeless people tho, was for those without running water in there apartments.
I see not much has changed in the city of St. Louis, blindsided by bad leadership.
