Installed a 17 and then an 18-tooth Max-torque clutch on the 212 Ghost-powered Azusa Minibike to see which gear ratio was better for top speed.

Excellent content. I have limited knowledge about those engines except the horizontals on my lawn mowers. Is there a two cylinder engine that could increase the torque on the big tire bikes or a gearbox? As always your channel is awesome.
A gear box would be awesome! I think there is a two cylinder engine I could use. I would like to try one sometime. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this video! Im in the process of building a azusa bike with a heavily built predator 224. I already have the 60tooth rear sprocket and a 17tooth max torque clutch for it with the 5” wheels…at least now i know a 224 will pull that gear with no issues👍

Are these frames hard to come by? I can’t find one for sale anywhere on Facebook or anything near me, this is probably my favorite style minibike, love the sleekness and the small tires

I think it would be interesting to have a video where you cut back on the weight of the mini bike to increase speed with the same gearing in this video. Such as maybe aluminum handle bars or a little less fuel in the tank and also no keys or coins or a heavy duty belt / clothes or skipping breakfast. This is just a video idea nothing to take serious. I figure the less weight the bike has the more potential for it to reach a higher speed or get there quicker.

What thickness clutch spacer you using on the ghost?

U ever thought about testing the 10” azusa steel split rims with some taller tires for top speed? Wonder how fast it would go with that setup and different gearing?

I can't exactly recall what you said the cable length should be cut down to for the carb that is factory on the ghost. I thought you said 2 1/4" but that is way too short for my rascal lite

Aero starts kicking in at around 45 mph(head or tail winds are also a significant factor). There is a lot more speed to be had if you want to go really fast with that HP. Probably another 30 mph with a front fairing and a tail cone(simple to make).
Really unpleased to see that low of a top speed based off the spec harbor freight gave the motor and the fact that my stock , governor still in tact not even a upgraded carb 224 will do 51 kinda pissed to find out it's only a extra 7 mph to my stock 224 max predator

Hey man I have a ghost 212 on my Coleman c200u with a 40 tooth sprocket and only hit 43 mph. Do you think that’s normal ? I feel like that’s low ?

I have to go back and check I have old Alexander renalds minibike I believe the rear sprocket is 54 tooth 420 link with preditor 212 I haven't run or even broken it in yet

It looked like you ran out of runway with the 18 tooth clutch. You let off as soon as the GPS said 58.

The 225 comes with a billet flywheel. The Ghost doesn't have a billet flywheel or rod.
@Black66 yeah it says on the GPS site all you need is a flywheel carb and header I literally just read it
@@Spacecruizer203 Ya, on the long block it says it needs a flywheel. The other otions are complete engines.If you are gonna use the long block You could always run a 10k RPM cast flywheel on there. Inexpensive option. 225 is a sweet engine! 🚀🚀

@@Black66 thanks boss I think I'm gonna get it def don't want a predator even tho I haven't had one before or the tilly 212 this ducar has been surprisingly awesome I mean I haven't had anything else so when I get the 225 I can upgrade the ducar with the rod flat top piston and springs mabey a cam

yeah, tire size plays a role as well.
Mine only goes 35 with aftermarket parts

It should pull
your top speed runs need to be averaged. The area you used has an incline. Therefore, You'll have lower speed one direction, and more than possible the other direction. What you are supposed to do is take both speeds, each direction, and add them together, then divide by two. this gives you the actual, REAL possible MPH. this is how they do it in Salt flat runs with MPH drags. your information is misleading otherwise.
Yes,to get the ultimate overall top speed I could avergae both directions. But as long as im using the same stretch of road in the same direction for both tests I think we get a pretty good idea of what the difference is on the parts used. 👍👍
@@Black66 but it's misleading to the ignorant, because they think they will achieve "58 mph with the parts Black66 used". I can't tell you how many people show up on facebook with questions why their bike won't do the speed your video shows.
