Just another quick video on how I replaced the Front Brake Pads & Rotors on a 2006 Toyota Sienna. The rotors were warped causing the brake pedal to pulsate when braking.
    Tools needed:
    Screwdriver (to pry)
    14mm socket
    17mm socket
    Socket Wrench
Also, it’s a good idea to lube the slide pins with Sil-Glyde.
And make sure you step on the brake pedal a few times to push the caliper pistons back out which presses the brake pads back against the rotors where they need to be.
    Thanks for watching!

Before you get on down the road, pump the brake peddle until you get brakes before moving the van. I recommend that when you pump the brakes that you do not push the peddle all the way down. Doing so will push the brake rod in the master cylinder in farther than it has been before and could damage the seal on the master cylinder if there is any corrosion on the rod.

To tighten the 17mm bracket bolts ( 79ft/lbs) it helps to turn the steering to the right and to the left for the respective side when using a torque wrench. This provides adequate clearance for the torque wrench , especially if it is long. Turning the steering wheel appropriately also helps when loosening the caliper and guide bolts as far as clearance is concerned. If you have a 5 gallon bucket place it in front of the rotor/ caliper and it will serve as a table for the caliper to rest on as well as a place to put your bolts and other supplies. Also , this would be a great time to flush out the guide pin cylinder using a wire brush and brake fluid ( I use a gun bore type in a drill). I the lube with sylglide or brake silicone grease.

I need to replace the front calipers on my 2006 toyota sienna, can I follow the same instructions on your 2005 toyota corolla video?

why don't you just put one or two nuts to hold the new rotor before installing mounting bracket? Isn't that easier?

    No bleeding required?

Hey just curious if there is any need to open up or bleed the brake system after doing this? I’ve seen people do this but it doesn’t seem necessary. Also, is there a need for a c-clamp for the caliper boot to keep it compressed?
