  • Thinking of Retiring to Madeira in 2023 and want to know what's it really like Now?
We hope you enjoy this narrated Virtual Funchal, Madeira, Portugal walk and chat with Luis as we ask him about his experience of retiring and moving to to Funchal.
Luis talks about topics such as early retirement and what life's like there for expats in Madeira, Portugal is like. Why they came to Madeira sight unseen? What steps do you take to move to Madeira? We'll be asking Luis as we walk around central Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
On our Madeira, Portugal walks, you'll see for yourself what life in the capital city of Madeira Island is like. Filmed on a sunny afternoon in Autumn - with a comfortable temperature of around 24 degrees.

Former New York City boy too. I love the urban vibes of Funchal - as some others have said, it’s like a mini-Lisbon. We will be there in February for about six weeks as we prepare to move (at least part time to Madeira) The difference is that I when we move there, I will be a Portuguese citizen thanks to the (former) law of return for direct ancestors of expelled Jews. Just got my citizenship paper approved last week. Anyway, I want to concur wit others: These interviews add a dimension to your videos that is quite welcome.
