Nice! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Glad to see the HF sprayer worked out for ya - I'm convinced! I'm going to pick one up.
You just saved my weekend... Thank you so much for this video. The viscosity cup demo was the most helpful part of this demo.
Ty for the full detail of not only how to use it but also the assembly and cleaning process very good video keep it up my man
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Much appreciated and helpful.
One of the better descriptions and videos I have see/ had bought
The sprayer, but left it in the box for a few days - now ready to go
After watching your instructions/ also your honesty of other. Ones being better out there after comparing a few low and high end products, this should help with my project-painting lattice work can be tedious. Thanks
Great video. To the point and I feel like it covered everything. If I would change one thing, I'd say do one coat on one door in real time. But don't think that's a deal breaker at all. Thanks for the video. Can't wait to see more of this channel.
Nice and thank you! Bought this sprayer 2weeks ago and ready to takle the project today. This video reenforced my reasons for purchasing. Very thankful from one Patriot to another. Awesome and found a new DIY subscription to follow!
Thanks for a straight to the point thorough video
Great video! Very straight to the point and very informational
I'm surprised! Not bad at all! Great to spray paint inside an old shop!
I bought this after watching your video and so far I am happy with it for what I need (painting trim of brick house). SO much better than brush and roller
Really great review for all the diy'ersss in the nation!
great to the point tutorial - thank you!
Ty for the demo!
Looking at buying one of these to paint my garage. Thank you for the great demo.
Thanks for the clear and detailed explanation.
I learned so much! Thank you!!!!!!! First time DIY a new dresser I got a deal on
Great tutorial! Thank you!
You are very good at speaking and explaining things. I could listen to you all day. Please continue to make excellent content.
Thanks
I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.
I love mine. Got it for 40 bucks on sale and my first project with it came out great.
Great video! I just bought the Avanti HVLP 100. My first spray paint gun. I broke my wrist and have been a refinisher for 30 years. This will hopefully help me out. Thanks again!!
Tap out next time.
Hey PatriotDIY - Thank you for taking the time & effort to produce this excellent, easy to understand & follow, video tutorial on your review & use of the Avanti HVLP paint sprayer.
Good product ,thank you for review , sprayer also works great for chain link fencing as well .
Thank you , keeping it simple
I bought one to paint a room. Worked perfect out of the box. Make sure you get the paint viscosity right and you will love it.
Did you need to do multiple coats?
Good video. How do you define a "professional" nowadays ? 🙂 I think these so called "professionals" have encouraged me to become a better DIY'er .
I agree 😂
I'm a professional.
25 years.
I use $700 Binks guns in legit spray booths.
I can tell you what a pro is.
These days “professional” means, your gonna pay me to do it.
@@Been.Here.Since.2007
Time and expensive toys still doesn't make you a professional. I know plenty of people who've had expensive tools and plenty of experience but still showed up hungover or stoned and weren't worth a crap.
@@TheBear470 ....... because they were HUNGOVER and STONED maybe???
Bro.
as you were spraying, splatter got onto the cabinets behind the ones you were spraying. did the splatters affect the final finish at all? i have a ton of doors to spray and i like the way you have yours set up in this video
really cool video thank you for sharing👍👍👍👍
Great video! Thank you! Buying one tomo to paint a shipping container
Great video. I'm a handyman that has a fairly big job coming up, and I was going to get one tomorrow. After this video I'm already a step ahead learning how to use it beforehand. Appreciate it. I've got this. 😂
Thank you friend!....they are one sale today in Augusta, Georgia....
great video just seen it on sale about to go purchase. thanks.
thanks for the review
Excellent video! Thinking of staining a fence, kind of a big project but we will see!
Look at that grass, Hell yeah brother!
Thank you! 😊
Will check it out. Thanks
I have that sprayer and it is a champ!
Great vid thx, my paint can only be thin max 10% for my project. But HF has them on sale for $49 this weekend. I can't go wrong, if it doesn't work for this project it will for others. Thanks
Good video. I’ve never sprayed but the Avanti is on sale and I need to clean up a wood retaining wall and this looks doable.
Thanks for info
The best one video in TH-cam ❤
Perfect Video. Looks pretty simple! I’m gonna have to get one. 🤝. So as long as anything you put in makes it through the strainer in under 50 sec. your good to go? Thanks for sharing!
Thank you brother
Great video. I have spray my kitchen cabinets and I have many doors. Do you have any videos on how to prep your kitchen for spray painting? masking etc.
How’s cleaning can you use minerals and spirits to clean scan you let it sit or will it clog up fast I use a hpvl and does the job. But this looks faster and thicker coats but my sprayer don’t clogg
Thanks for this. Did you have any problems with it orange peeling or running? I’m working with unforgiving primer/solvent mixture and it comes out inconsistently. But I don’t know if that’s from the mixture, or from the volume or pattern settings.
Thanks for your video! It is a good sprayer and at a great price. This paint sprayer is now on sale this week @ Harbor Freight for $59.99 (original price $79.99)
Starting tomorrow, June 2nd 2023, it'll be on sale for only $39.99. It's already on sale today (and the past 2 days) if you're an Inside Track Club member though.
I'm going to be the first to take these DIY TH-camrs to court. They make it look so easy.
does this have any problems spraying horizontal surfaces when you point the sprayer downward?
Good video. I'm definitely buying this paint gun to paint my house.
Pretty much an almost part for part copy of the Wagner HVLP sprayer at close to half the price. They both function pretty much the same, the Wagner may have a slightly better motor, but they both get hot and seem to last just about as long.
thank you for the showing, this thing is what i'm looking for to paint my motorhome, this will do it,thanks
How did it work on your motorhome?
Did it spit at all? Some cheap sprayers work fine and then suddenly it spits out paint and ruins your job with runs…? How did it work?… thx
@@kenm6049 i went a bought another one,as the motorhome has a lot of surface and i only wanted to do it once, the spitting is due to the mix
Painted my house with one of these worked good
I have acrylic paint can I mix it with water to use the sprayer?
Can u tell me we’re to go to get templates for chairs
Can you say if this will spray upward? You mention pointing the suction hose a certain way for doing ceilings but im guessing it wont work well for a ceiling. Id appreciate your feedback or anyone elses for that matter. Thanks.
Do you know how to remove the check valve? It's not shown in the manual. Thanks
Thank you
Thanks for the review would've been nice to be able to hear how it sounds though
I lost my viscosity cup. Anything I can use around the house as a replacement or do I just try to eyeball for a good flow?
Nice! On sale for $45 right now. I'm trying to paint my E-150 van interior spray foam, which is extremely time consuming with it being porous and dents and it's an absolute pain! For $45, I'd say it's worth it even for one time. I'm also getting ready to work on my E-450 bus, and I'll probably paint something in there, too. Maybe even the exterior, so not sure if it'd work there, but I'll have time to try it out on a couple things.
Can i also use this for my 50/50 bleach water mix to clean my fence before staining?
Would it be good for painting inside the house on the walls ?
MUCHA GRACIAS POR ESPLICARLO PERFECTO HES LO QUE NECESITO YA LA TENGO Y CREO QUE LA VOY A USAR COMO LO HICISTE DE NUEVO MUCHAS GRACIAS Y BENDICIONES SALUDOS DE MEXICO
How does this thing work for spraying sealant?
deck sealant that is
If the sponge gets damaged how can you replace it
Awesome bro
Can this do solvent-based paints?
Great Video! Thanks!
One question I have:
When you start off the door and hold the trigger, do you remove your trigger finger and start again as you go back UP the door, or is your finger pressed the entire time once you start?
I let off then back on. This think spitts paint out fast so don't want any waste
Can this this room walls?
Good stuff
What’s the foam round thing?
Good review, I think I'll pick one up,, now 50% off with the inside track, Thx.✌️
super!
Can you paint a small house with it?
By the time we got the paint to go through that strainer thingy in less than 50 seconds it was the consistency of water. We sprayed louvered doors and it was a complete disaster. Runs everywhere. Just dripping ridiculously. I don’t know what we did wrong but I didn’t have any luck with this thing.
This might be a silly question but can one use the gun to paint ceiling/walls? Seems so much easier and faster than roller and brush. Also, is it special paint needed for this?
Yes you can. And no you can use regular wall paint
I have to ask if you use water for water-based paints what would you use for oil-based paints I am going to paint metal patio furniture
Paint thinner
What kind of sprayer would you use on a car?
I like it
❤
Nice review, but I wish you hadn't sped up all the footage of you actually using it. It makes it difficult to tell how fast it actually sprays during normal use.
Do you think this would be suitable to paint a house in sections? Would be over multiple weekends and obviously DIYer here.
Yes it could definatly do that. But you'd have to constantly refill the Canister. For a house you may consider a sprayer with a larger paint container or siphon hose
Try windshield washer fluid to thin latex
Really?
@willieoutlaw4957 yeah if you're sparying it works better then just water .goggle it if you don't believe me
I am planning to use this sprayer for spray our wood chairs. But before i paint, i need to spray with primer first, can i use this sprayer for sprsying a primer?😊
Yes
What do I clean it with? To get off stain
Mineral spirits
An hvlp should be able to spray epoxies. Test it.
Spray cans.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? the cost for spray can paint is simply ridiculous. Think of this sprayer as a way to get around that. Paint is so much cheaper by the quart or 1/2 gallon or gallon. These are on sale right now for 39 bucks so I'm going to pick one up. Only thing with these is you should pre-strain any paint you put through this thing. Not sure about auto type paints but home type paint often comes with globs that will stop this sprayer up but good. I used to use the large 5 gal bucket strainers on my other high volume sprayer but for this I will use a coffer filter, the fine wire mesh type. Works perfect to pour a quart of paint through at a time and will remove any globstopper uppers. Did not strain my paint on the large airless sprayer and got some of those globstoppers and what a pain. Had to use paint thinner and flush out the system to remove the globs. Happens to you once and if your capable of learning you wont make that mistake again
While the time-lapse painting was cool, I was hoping to see the real-time spraying. I'm curious about the spray patterns, how fine the paint goes on and covers, etc...
This is a very budget paint gun. Works great for these types of outdoor items. If you want something that can handle finer projects I'd look at the Graco Airless sprayers
i use flay and semi didnt work
Legit bought it this weekend
Let us know how it works for you. Thank you
Could you use this with a polycrylic as well?
I think so!
@@PatriotDIY would the same premise apply to thin it out? It feels like that would negate the purpose of the poly?
@ajkr711 polycrylic is water based so I'd think you thin it the same way, just may need more coats. I'm sure you could find that answer on the minwax website
just bought the same sprayer today and its leaking all over the place as soon as I press on the trigger, do you have any idea why it might be doing this. Everything is tight and locked into place my only thing is it might be a defective sprayer. Hopefully you could reply with some input. Thanks. @PatriotDIY
No idea buddy. I'd return it and get another. Or if you want an upgrade look that the Graco Airless sprayers
@@PatriotDIY thanks for the reply, I ended up returning it and went with a Wagner sprayer from Lowes they cost the same. Thanks!
@@boostedchalo6066 Did the Wagner work out for you?
@@Future_Legend_Told_Me yes it worked out perfect.
great video ! black chairs tho will burn your ass be carful out there yall
The tube keeps falling off and it sucks after spraying a deck I haven't been able to use it on a job since . Glad I charged $500 to paint the deck.
Does adding water change paint color ?
Can you use spray automotive paint
If you are spraying a car I'd get a higher-end sprayer.
@@PatriotDIY thanks
What do you do if it stops sucking up the paint or water? The tips and nozzles are all spotless.
I haven't had that issue but it sound like it's stopped up inside the sprayer
didnt work for me keep dripping and thick paint
