    Dunk each brick in water just as you go to lay it this will stop the mortar from drying out to much. Remember that you will need weep holes it the lowest course of bricks in your raised plant beds. The weep holes are missing the upright mortar between two bricks. This stops the soil/compost in the raised planter from getting water logged if it rains heavy. Otherwise keep up the good work.😊😊😊

    Don’t worry about the straight joints - it happens and they won’t be seen anyway.
    The stretcher on one side of your planter and a header on the other is called reverse bond, it can’t be helped if you have to stick to certain dimensions - width of steps, length of building etc so nothing wrong with that either.
