I played 18 holes with the golfing legend Sergio Garcia and we played in a Texas scramble format, our team came in at -17 which is an incredible result! My girlfriend's dad Reece also came along to ac...

About me: I'm a DIYer who bought a 1930s 3-bed semidetached house. With very little money in the bank for renovating, I decided to give it a go myself. This project: Due to the new design for the kitchen diner, we need the wall space for kitchen cabinets which unfortunately means the window needs to be bricked up. Not only that, due to the placement of the neighbour's window, we feel we will ge...

Only thing I can see him doing wrong is using the twister spacers. It creates a small gap under the slabs and allows water to sit and expand as ice In the winter, unless using a propper slurry that will fill the void. Only noting through experience.

I’m not trying to slate your work at all, I’m just going to state that the spacer system you use is the worst for porcelain, once you twist the spacers to make them level you create a small gap underneath the bed to allow for water expansion in the winter and slabs to lift, crack and move. Unless using slurry jointing to fill the voids it’s shite.

Brilliant what you’re doing! Big fan . I’ve done the same with my house, took most on my self, 9month it took whilst working also. Great feeling knowing you’ve done most yourself and saved the £££ also!.

300mm centres are better. Only slightly more cost as the timber is the cheaper part. I'm starting my compost decking tomorrow, as my wooden one is 22 years old and needs replacing. Originally cost £800 back then and fitted by professionals, but now I've just spent £1600 and doing it myself 😧🤔🤣

When you put coat of render on use serated trowel to get grooves in render then bed the mesh gently in let it go off a bit before putting on last coat

" Used for commercial buildings " someones been using google 😂 it has nothing to do with the building type it depends on the load the concrete is taking . A slab screed is low load where as a foundation footing is under higher load and so on , nothing to do with a commercial setting
