- Part 1 of the garden room build:
I wanted to find the fastest and best value for money way to build a base for my 4m x 3m garden room.
I had a load of 7N concrete blocks left over from my house extension build, so I decided to build concrete pires. I didn't want to expense of a full concrete base and due to the bottom of the garden being shaded and damp, I wanted to raise the room off the floor to give it air ventilation.
This is the first part of the garden room build mini-series. In the next episode, I build the wooden structure that sits on top of the concrete blocks.

Dad and Uncle Steve! How handy to have a family work crew!
So handy! They live this type of work too 👌🏻
Looking forward to the build 👌
Handy video mate
Well done 👏
Thank you 🙏🏻
Looks good .could you list quantities of materials
How did you know what size to dig the holes and how many to dig
How much Type 1 MOT did you use for 12 piers?
can you use Cement instead of hardcore for the holes?
yes you can
Maybe you can find a person to hold your camera or a tripod to keep down the herky-jerky movement - creates nausea!
I’m with you on that! I was pretty new to filming for TH-cam when I made this. I’ve been investing in new equipment to help get better visuals
