    I'm a D & J viewer that thought I'd check out what you do and though I will not be laying bricks or pavers etc I do really enjoy the wicked sense of humour and crazy banter you guys have going. I grew up in a rather sarcastic household and enjoy that kind of conversation.
    Love from Australia and for once (I'm sure it has been a few times) we are hearing you guys struggle in the ridiculous heat while we are cool in our winter.

    Hi Justin, i currently have a a few landscapers looking at my job and stuck on what to do. It will be a raised patio however there is a large pad of concrete down currently and 100mm roadstone can easily go on top plus cement and slab of choice ofcourse. Most are saying the concrete pad does not need breaking / coming out and it can be topped and whacked with type 1, whats yours thoughts on this?

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Difficult as i haven't seen the area.
      If you leave it there and say the patio is layed with permeable slabs then water could seatle on top of the concrete below. This could create a lot of water held in under the patio which is not advisable.
      Its all depends on the site conditions and how close the slab is to the patio.
      If it was me id always look to rip it up and start from freash id know its 100% right that way.
      Its your call as the home owner if its bothering you ask for the quote to include the removal of the slab .
      Or ask the guys to explain the reason why the concrete can stay in place .Ultimately your in the driving seat its your property and your call .
      Difficult as i haven't surveyed the area but the guys are all saying the same thing ask for there reasons why it can stay and also if long term if its likely to cause any issues.
      Good luck
      Justin 👍
