  • Laying a 4x8m porcelain patio for the first time, DIY style.
This was my experience of laying a porcelain patio for the first time. Sometimes the Pros are so experienced in patio laying that they might miss out on bits of information that they consider common knowledge.
In this vlog, I've tried to highlight all the learnings I gained from tackling this for the first time.
Ad. Rock Unique Ltd - The Porcelain slabs for this project were supplied by Rock Unique. I originally contacted Rock Unique because of their amazing selection of materials. After such a great experience with the Rock Unique team, I asked if we could work together to show these materials via my channel.
Here is a link to the slabs I am laying - www.rock-uniqu...

I use the very same notched wooden trammel and garden rake pal. Well done; using your head.

Looks great! Going to invest in the same grinder you've used.

That looks amazing, Scott. How much would it cost for a professional to do that in the UK?

Honestly I’m not sure but some landscapers are charging £200 psm so roughly £6400 for my patio size

Excellent work, I've been doing all alone , really difficult for 1st timer.
Wondering, how long it took you to finish laying tiles ?
I'm using edging as well.. mine is 20 m2

How do you put a drop on a patio or garden? Is it eye level and then use a wacker and then a plumb line or laser level?

What are the measurements of the piece of timber you used to set the height for the next section of wet bed.

Also how did you render your kitchen? I have a small patch ie 4ft by 4ft area to render (outside brick wall, already rendered but slightly damp/mouldy).
I've put in a vent but want to get rid of the soft render and do it again.
    Thanks

Amazing video, is this your first time doing a job like this, you looked really uncomfortable doing it and looked like a beginner
