      Not really interested in tower cases, would love to see some reviews for 4U rack mount cases, options are very limited and costs or crazy. 4U units that have good air flow or able to mount liquid cooling solution. For those of US that have several computers, towers just take up way too much space, rack mount is the way to go (SysRack).

    I bought the Fractal Design North not because it had wood but because it looked good. The wood is well integrated into the design and it works as a general concept. Simply including wood somewhere on your case doesn't make it look good. Seeing most of the new wood cases, it is just blind trend following. Really makes me appreciate manufacturers with original and well thought out designs.

    • @mateofantasma
      @mateofantasma 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      Also an owner of the Fractal North (I saw it for the first time in this channel, btw). Cannot agree more. Many of these new cases trying at integrating wood are missing the point. Concept goes first.

      The A3-mATX is the perfect case for us who prefer mATX, but most of the time, the bigger channels with give you form over function.
      *Smaller case
      *Fits 10 120mm fans and 2 360mm radiators
      *Majority mesh design with option tempered glass side (if that's what floats your boat or find your lost remote)
      *Fits GPU up to 415mm depending on PSU orientation
      For me, the bigger issue is finding an mATX board that doesn't compromise, especially AMD.

    What a booming market for a thing that you never actually needed!
    I've been rocking caseless PC for 16 months and it's totally fine and almost dust free. Runs dead silent as well.

    I'm very interested in the Light Base 900, hope there will be a test video for it when it's released.
    I'm using a Fractal Focus 2 right now and it has great airflow but I've never like that the power supply is not hidden in any way and the space behind the motherboard tray is imo way too little for a modern case.

    Great stuff guys. The most interesting part of the video to me was at the very beginning. "One manufacturer states it is getting hard to compete" If you want to compete lower your prices. Lian LI and the rest has shown it is possible to make a good product at a fair price.

    IDK who the hell was smoking crack in an exec meeting and thought "We should slap walnut paneling on our case!" But I'm all here for it. For some reason makes for an insanely good low profile rustic vibe. The way they are integrating the wood into these cases makes for an incredibly simple and natural design, and the walnut accents the cases fantastic. While I know it reviewed poorly for GN, I love the look of the 6500 with its walnut paneling. With wood cases and wood paneling seemingly becoming more popular, it makes me curious as to if case manufactures will begin to expand the types they use. I would love to see a darker or more red colored wood on a case. Nonetheless, I still think Walnut was the right way to go for these. For some reason gives off a shotgun stock or old wood panel TV vibe.

    On the subject of Silverstone's 515 XR, the price alone makes it desirable. My brother is going to college in a couple years, and has been wanting to build a pc, so having a case that can fit at a typical dorm desk would be amazing.

    I'd be in the market for the small Silverstone FARA 515XR .. would be great to fit older (retro) hardware in and still have the benefit of using a modern case with glass sidepanel and good airflow. Since most likely an SSD or the like will be used and older mainboard/gpu you don't need the lenght of newer or older cases. Would definately buy at that pricepoint! Really hope they bring it to the EU market (and US).

    Really interested in the NCORE 600, my only concern being weight. I bought the HAF 700 EVO two years ago and it's a fantastic case, love the look and how spacious it is, but it's so absurdly heavy that it was a nightmare to relocate during my recent move. The case itself is near 50lbs empty, 60+ likely with everything else, but it does look great.
