I wonder why the Lian Li Lancool 216 is not present in PC case graphs. It is such a great airflow case for less than 100 bucks. It was at the top with the Fractal Torrent in performance when it was reviewed.
The Torrent was at the top, so it represents the best. If any case beats the Torrent, it also beats all prior cases we've tested. The reason is that we totally rebuilt our testing methods and are slowly re-accumulating results. They do not all happen at the same time, but one-by-one. The Lancool family has new cases out next month. That is when they will get tested.
Nice case. Personally, compared to my Torrent, I find this case very nice looking. I bought the Torrent despite its looks. I generally favor top-mounting the PSU as I am not planning on anything besides air cooling. It appears that the Torrent has much better dust filtering. Hard to tell from a video, but it appears the Torrent may be a bit more robust. I definitely prefer the Torrent's 2 180mm front fans. But all that said, this is a really good looking case with really good thermal performance. If I were building today, I might choose it over the Torrent.
If u in any imaginable possible scenario think that THIS case looks or actually performs better than the torrent, ur on drugs. Put 6 fans in a torrent and it will literally make this case look like a hotbox in comparison. This is ridiculous.
@@godnamedtay I had the Torrent since it released up until few months back when i rebuilt my system in a o11 air mini. The Torrent stock fans are quite noisy after the bearings wear off as time goes by, despite the cases effort to negate that with the huge 180mm front intakes. Looks are subjective. I also think that Torrent looks way better then the Flux. Too bad the Torrent front panel is cheap looking plastic but overall its art deco style looks way better then the plain front panel of the Flux Pro. As for performance, based on the data shown in the video this case obviously performs better or equal than/to the Torrent while being cheaper and having basically unlimited config options compared to the Torrent which is severely limited and it "forces" you to use CPU air cooling. Also the Torrent already comes with fully populated fan slots, apart from the exhaust, which doesn't change anything in the airflow. So the only ridiculous thing here are your claims my guy :p

Definitely with you on the conclusion! It's so good to see Antec back in the game with great performance. Missed them, they were my go-to brand for years. Still, as good as the Flux Pro performs, I'm not sold on how they approach the bottom intake fans from a design perspective. It looks a little bolted on to me. Guess I'll stick with Fractal a little longer, have become quite partial to their reduced scandinavian aesthetics. Great work on the testing, as always!
I bought a Performance 1 FT , roughly about 6 months ago. It's an excellent case (I bought it for about 155 euros, close to its $160 MSRP ). I had a shipping problem (something with the side panel) and Antec sorted it out in a matter of a few weeks, sending me a new side panel. Antec's back and the support is exceptional as well! This Flux Pro is also great and radiator friendly. Great Review
My kid is still rocking my P182 Gunmetal. Been wanting to upgrade him for a while, adding Antec to the list is kinda cool. Haven't bought one in over a decade.
Why you do not want to do the NZXT H7 2024 ?! this case came out before this Antec and your test is really expected to us for the H7 2024 so please do the H7 2024 next. To me this Antec is not that interesting, feels like a counterfeit North, looking inside the case full of component doesn't look as good as a NZXT H7 2022 and 2024 version.
We never said we don't want to. Each case takes a couple weeks to test and we were working on other projects, like Zen 5 testing. We are slowly working through things.
People buy NZXT cases for the looks. Performance is completely irrelevant to them so a review of that case is in my opinion pointless. Meanwhile Antec released a good performer worth investing time in reviewing.
@@GamersNexus That was a bait comment > just to know if you will do the review of the H7 2024 anytime soon, a lot of people's wait your review on it (mostly the NZXT community on Reddit) A bit of a shame that you do the review of this big case while a "smaller" H7 2024 that came out before would be more relevant imho. Mostly when you look at the design of the case that are more "interesting" to me than the Flux Pro that imo look more like an Lancool 3.
@@sergioav7278 Wake up, we're in 2024. The "oh no, a non airflow NZXT case" didn't exist anymore, they all have a airflow variant of case, even the H5 is now the best smaller case for airflow so what is the point ? NZXT case is aesthetic, practicality and good airflow while this Antec is just a copy of the Lancool 3 in terms of airflow design with a counterfeit design that look like a Fractal North but with a weird wave mesh design without a proper identity, that's my opinion. Anyway this case is really big and heavy and cost more than the NZXT, even the H7 Flow 2022 can be found at 99 euro and you will never see your GPU burned in that case (and the H7 Flow 2022 is very very good for noise reduction) I have both H7 Flow 2022 and H7 Flow 2024, two best case that i have and i had tested a LOT of case during these month. I love my Fractal Torrent. Found out about that case thru GN. Until something more efficient comes along, I will keep this case for many, many builds. All air cooled on my build, temps stay super cool even when gaming in 4k.
It's nice to see an OG company like Antec seriously getting back into the case game and coming out swinging this time around too! Good for them. Looks nice, performs great, has silly wood like everyone else is doing after Fractal. I dig it. If I didn't already didn't already have the Fractal North white glass variant I would seriously consider this. They can keep that silly display though.
Looking at doing my first desktop build in ... a long time. My last build was in an antec p180 all those years ago that i still have in the loft, it weighs a tonne! Naturally my first place to look was Antec again, and this case looks like a good starting point if not a little expensive!
I've got a Lancool III and absolutely love it! Glad to see more of this kind of case, and Antec moving forward with their designs. Would love for the Lancool to be included in the testing of the new methodology, so I know which of the two to recommend to my friends.
I'm loving these case reviews lately, cause they're actually seemingly good products. The only downside is that none of them seem to be available in Europe.
Antec the goat, had my antec 1200 v3 full tower for 12 years upgraded to a nzxt H9 flow recently to fit a 360 rad on my 5800x3d but if it had radiator mounts would still be using it, bought it then for 1400 NOK around 130 dollars at that time and it came with 3x120 at front, 2x120 in the back and a big boy 200mm fan at the top out of the box
I'll probably be picking this one up come this holiday season honestly! The price being slightly higher than the MSRP for the North XL seems like this case has insanely good value, with the six fans and the temp monitor for the GPU and CPU built in (not that youd ever need to worry with ventilation as wonderful as this case allows for). Absolute no-brainer.
The traditional front to back airflow and massive radiator compatibility would make this a great option for open loop watercooling. Fitting 3 360 radiators in a mid tower plus having space for 3 full size hard drives is a huge win
Oh man I didn't know they made super expensive socket protectors! It's really nice of you guys to up your game on keeping those pins safe.. very responsible. :)
Thanks for the standardized tests, stock performance is a great metric, but most will in some way optimize/change airflow with additional fans. Seeing difference at same fan setup gives a good rough baseline.
got the smaller one month ago. It is great but the bottom rail came loose from the glass. Construction guy, so just glued it back on. works great Looks amazing with an Eatx Motherboard(12x13)
Here i am using a IKEA Fjällbo as my case without dust filters. The cooling is amazing i gotta say. The only downside is dust. A lot more clearning but it runs a lot cooler now. Also fits in the living without sticking out!
Perforating basically every surface (including both sides, the rear/front, and the bottom!) of the lower chamber is a great design; it has minimal visual impact, and ensures the bottom-of-case fans in the upper chamber have basically unrestricted intake airflow. I also note the taller-than-usual feet on this case; since the underside has higher porosity than the sides, this is likely contributing substantially to the intake air.
I bought the Antec C8 after your review and it´s the perfect fishtank, if you want a fishtank. If Antec is able to stay competitive in buildquality, price and features, I´ll look at their cases first, when I need a new one.

@@zexedearth89 ok soo wym “the torrent’s fans are noisy after the bearings wear out” ?? Like bruh DUH, everyone fan in history ever made will be loud when the bearings are grinding against each other lol. They’re 180mm fans, there’s a reason why it’s the best performing case. And It doesn’t “force” u to do anything, u bought it dummy, it’s air cooling based case u clown, wtf kind of argument are u attempting to give here? It’s laughable & pointless. Ur obv biased from a personal alleged bad (questionable) experience and blatant opinionated talking points (debatable) so yea, sorry bud, everything u said can be explained and/or proven invalid. Keep emotion out of computer components, life will be much easier when discussing them with others. Hope this helps!
@@godnamedtay hahaha absolute cringe fest attempt of gaslighting. Nothing you wrote from the get go has any connection or logic and its full of contradictions. Sorry but i don't have two digit IQ like yourself so that kind of stuff ain't gonna pass with me haha. You were the "emotional" one and you were a biased one, glazing the Torrent despite the literal video that you commented on has Flux as the new chart leader, haha. You barfed an absolute 0 sense 0 logic reply to the OP. I shut your stuff with logic and objective rationalization and you got triggered like a lil schoolgirl so you started insulting and writing nonsense again. And then you have the audacity to speak about discussions and emotions? Work on your weak ego bud. kisses :***
@@zexedearth89 fun mod for the torrent. 200mm fans... is it overkill... yes... but it is gorgeous and effective.
Also expensive
Definitely with you on the conclusion! It's so good to see Antec back in the game with great performance. Missed them, they were my go-to brand for years. Still, as good as the Flux Pro performs, I'm not sold on how they approach the bottom intake fans from a design perspective. It looks a little bolted on to me. Guess I'll stick with Fractal a little longer, have become quite partial to their reduced scandinavian aesthetics.
Great work on the testing, as always!
Good afternoon GN
Hurray, great to see the return of Antec. Still one of my favourite Case companies.
How does it compare to the HAF X for GPU thermals?
So glad to see Antec back. I had a P1 back in the day I used to love Antec
I'm watching this whilst on the toilet
Thanks steve
You took the definition of flux literally, I see. 🤣
I got my Torrent glass side panel, non RGB for $99 shipped.
It’s the best pc case ever made, period.
Haven't used an Antec case since my old Mini P180 from almost 20 years ago, so it's pretty fun to see them back at it again
Thanks Steve
My kid is still rocking my P182 Gunmetal. Been wanting to upgrade him for a while, adding Antec to the list is kinda cool. Haven't bought one in over a decade.
Still gonna go for the hyte y70 touch
I have always liked Antec, glad to see them putting out some top notch product again.
@@GamersNexus That was a bait comment > just to know if you will do the review of the H7 2024 anytime soon, a lot of people's wait your review on it (mostly the NZXT community on Reddit)
A bit of a shame that you do the review of this big case while a "smaller" H7 2024 that came out before would be more relevant imho.
Anyway this case is really big and heavy and cost more than the NZXT, even the H7 Flow 2022 can be found at 99 euro and you will never see your GPU burned in that case (and the H7 Flow 2022 is very very good for noise reduction)
I have both H7 Flow 2022 and H7 Flow 2024, two best case that i have and i had tested a LOT of case during these month.
NZXT is not Hyte.
@@AquilaeYT It's good that you like NZXT cases, but we shouldn't mix fantasy with reality.
Also, hating on Antec for releasing a good product is wild. Instead of feeling good for having more great choices for everyone you get mad.
"socket protector" oooofff
that aside, absolutely awesome to see case designers CARING, I love this, keep it coming! And thank you so much GN for the in-depth review and all the work that goes into it!!
Too expensive for a box 😂
2024 "brokie" statement of the year! 😂😂😂
Box that performs better than an open test bench though. Not that common in the box space
Its wild seeing antec back at it. I remember the lanboy and the 900 forever ago and now they're back. If i wasn't using an itx case, I'd dip into this one.
❤lian li and rog top others copy paste SUCKS❤
... ROG? Really?
This is a great upgrade to my ageing and too small 4000D Airflow!! WELL DONE ANTEC!!!
I recently got a C8 and couldn't be happier. So glad they exposed how not-good the Corsair counterpart was.
I'm really glad to see Antec back on their A-game. I had several of their cases in the 2000s
As a torrent owner I'm happy to welcome a new case to the top tier. Good job Antec now let's see if Fractal can make a better torrent..? Thanks GN for the fantastic reviews :)
Finally, Antec is back! I loved their cases, always pretty damn well designed and good quality.
Actually got the Flux black for my build. Easiest case I've had to work with to date, and has been an amazing experience overall.
I love my Fractal Torrent. Found out about that case thru GN. Until something more efficient comes along, I will keep this case for many, many builds. All air cooled on my build, temps stay super cool even when gaming in 4k.
my first all new components build was in an antec twelvehundred. Glad to see antec getting back in the game
Just built in this case! Love it! I didnt have issues with the psu standoffs but the motherboard standoffs, one was missing. Never threaded in at all
Looking at doing my first desktop build in ... a long time. My last build was in an antec p180 all those years ago that i still have in the loft, it weighs a tonne!
Naturally my first place to look was Antec again, and this case looks like a good starting point if not a little expensive!
This is very impressive from Antec. Glad to see them doing great again.
I've got a Lancool III and absolutely love it! Glad to see more of this kind of case, and Antec moving forward with their designs.
Would love for the Lancool to be included in the testing of the new methodology, so I know which of the two to recommend to my friends.
I always love watching GN reviews. makes me feel like im watching the local forecast channel, but about PCs!
I'm loving these case reviews lately, cause they're actually seemingly good products. The only downside is that none of them seem to be available in Europe.
It's always nice to dethrown the king, and I hope we see that happen again soon, keeps it exciting.
Great review, as always. Proving once again that case choice really matters. Thanks GN.
As soneone with a df800 sitting on their desk, I am extremely happy to see Antec back in the game. Hoping to see some budget cases at some point.
Thanks for the case review! Love to see it, and I'm looking forward to more.
The PSU plug is really a great move and makes it much more flexible - well played Antec
Finally! been waiting for this, thank you
ordered ...for many YEARS ANTEC FAN GOOD CASES
I can't wait to see some of these quality of life features incorporated into SFF cases
Here i am using a IKEA Fjällbo as my case without dust filters. The cooling is amazing i gotta say. The only downside is dust. A lot more clearning but it runs a lot cooler now. Also fits in the living without sticking out!
Great to see Antec come back swinging!
Antec is back. That's wild
I bought the Antec C8 after your review and it´s the perfect fishtank, if you want a fishtank. If Antec is able to stay competitive in buildquality, price and features, I´ll look at their cases first, when I need a new one.
how isnit compared to montefh king 95 pro?
Can't imagine getting rid of my north for this, but seeing Antec compete really plucks the nostalgia strings lol
Great video Steve! I would still go for the Fractal Torrent with a pure air cooled setup, but with an AIO this Antec case looks good.
Makes me miss my Super LANBoy, glad they're still around.
Really happy to see Fractal Torrent still holding up, my GPU is a bloody furnace, MSI RTX3070 Ventus 2X OC, oh why did I cheap out on the 2X, not 3X model.
Good to see the FSC certification for the wood.
