We spend a day in Hoi An Vietnam and it is amazing! There is lots to do in Hoi An from shopping to boat rides and exploring the Ancient Town! We crammed all we could into our one day in Hoi An. And we had a blast! The Coconut Forest is very touristy, but it really is a must do! The vibes and the experience were more than we could have asked for! During the day, there are multiple historic sites to visit, shops to browse and delicious food to eat. By night, Hoi An comes alive! You must be sure to stay until after dark, when this town truly is a buzz with lanterns, boats on the river, music, restaurants and bars! It is affordable to find a nice hotel or Airbnb, so be sure to spend the night!
We know that there is so much that we missed, but we truly made the most of our day in Hoi An. Hoi An boasts an ancient town where merchants from China, Japan, and later Europe, settled in the 15th - 19th centuries. The architecture in the Ancient Town is truly a unique fusion of all of these cultures.
Hoi An means "peaceful meeting place" and the Ancient Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. Much to our delight, it is also considered the Banh Mi Capital of Vietnam!!
If we had more time in this amazing town, we could have taken advantage of the other many activities, such as bike riding through rural rice fields, visiting more of the historical sites in town and eaten at many more of the restaurants that were recommended to us!
If you are ever in Central Vietnam, no visit would be complete without a stop in this town. We hope this video gives you ideas and inspiration and helps you plan your trip to Hoi An. If you don't plan on visiting, we hope this video allows you to experience Hoi An through our lens and you can enjoy learning a little more about this beautiful, historic town in central Vietnam.

We love ciders, especially on a hot day. I bet the authentic Magner's made near you and on tap, would be 👌

The floating candles cost only 10 000 VDN ( 55 cents CAD or 40 cents USD )/each not 120 000 VND . If they charged you 120 000 VND , so it was a scam . Yes every night after everybody left , a cleaning team did pick-up all the floating candles to recycle them and clean the river for the next day ,

LOL! We really hope that we misquoted the price of the candles, but we do think you’re right! That price sounds more reasonable! Hahaha. Also, thank you for confirming what we were told!! It is great that the flaring candles are recycled! What a big job for the clean up crew. Bless them! 🙏🏻. Thank you so much for letting us know and thank you so much for watching! 🙂
