I really think that we're gonna get at least one year of Haymitch tutoring kids and watching them die, too. That's so important to his character development!
I’m nine minutes in and I love this theory! Part of me is hoping we get to catch up with a more current Haymitch (I’m not sure where in time) I just think it’d be neat after all these years to get another glimpse of how Haymitch, Peeta, and Katniss are (even though yes we’ve already gotten an idea) it may just be me hoping to get to maybe see Woody, Josh and Jen again for the movie (and also Elizabeth can’t leave Effie out) ❤ I don’t know I’m trying to have little to no expectations for the most part. *I'm adding this in because you mentioned the scrapbook. Okay so I finished rereading the trilogy a few days ago and it only took me two weeks so things have slipped my mind, but if we end up getting to see Haymitch (as we knew him in the trilogy) that would be a really cool time to bring the scrapbook into the movie. No it wasn’t in the movies, but it still could be, and honestly that would be incredible! November 2026 is so far 😭😭😭
Anybody notice that the shape on the novel cover is the same shape as the earring that they show Lucy gray leaving in the meadow in the movie? Or that snow found anyway? I wonder if that was a little foreshadowing from the movie just like the mention of the high chair or if nothing else, just a fun little Easter egg? Remember. Snow shoots at a hallucination of Lucy gray but he actually finds an earring and picks it up and pockets it. I wonder if we hear more about the covey since it's a little further back in time. Specifically wondering about maude ivory (because she makes the most sense as the ancestor) but really any of them. Also, Corio would be about 60 for these games. Donald Sutherland played Corio in the trilogy. His son, Keifer, is about to be 60 so he'd be perfect to play Snow in this movie!!
These quotes, GIRL 🔥 Fear sells more than hope & it separates “them” from “us”. War is won by who is more persuasive. The evil lies within the act itself not within the person committing the act. While I don’t necessarily think it will be dual POV I totally respect this as a theory. I think we’re gonna see a lot of death in this. More than even Mockingjay. I agree that we’re going to quite literally have no more loose ends after this. I appreciate that there are no headcanons in your theory, but also I have so MANY. I also REALLY want to know what Haymitch was like before his Games. Like what we’re his relationships like, who were his friends, etc. I can’t wait to know all the parents first names TBH. We know he probably knows them from his few words to Katniss’ mom. Also - I wonder if the Victors all DID talk to Haymitch whenever they started having to do this for Snow’s liking. Like if he actually has ALL the information about EVERYTHING & we just don’t know it. Like what if he was BFF’s w Katniss’ dad & knew about her family/covey history/Lucy Gray AND every other Victor’s stuff. I genuinely don’t think Victor’s were mentors until after his Games & it was extra punishment because a) the other tributes didn’t do well enough to ensure someone from 12 didn’t win & b) because Snow was so hyperfixated on Haymitch losing his mind so that he wouldn’t bring everyone together for an uprising (which Snow knew Haymitch was capable of)
Interesting theory, I enjoyed listening to it. Glad there's people out there that obsess over the Hunger Games as much I do. Personally I think a Dual Narrative is unlikely because Flickerman was never mentioned in the synopsis, which I think he would have been if he was going to be a main character. ALSO, if Suzanne Collins was going to write a dual narriative then she would have done so with BOSAS. I still think that book could have been better if half of the story was told from Lucy Grays POV, especially during the Hunger Games. However, I think you're probably right, that a big theme of the book will be focused on the media and how the 50th Hunger Games are portrayed vs what actually happened. But I don't think it'll be revealed through Ceaser being a narrator, I think it'll be revealed through Haymich's eyes, when he leaves the games and watches the medias reporting on them. But I could be wrong and you could be right. Can't wait for March 18!
Oh you’re so smart! I hope we see more of Cesar i find him so fascinating! I can’t wait for this book i feel like it’s exactly what we need in the world right now
Omg no way I have the same white overlay shirt, what are the odds. 😊❤ But I definitely think they’re hiding something that happened in Haymitchs games.
We know district 12 goes through times of extreme leniency to extremely strict. I wonder during hamich's reaping it was a time of leniency and after he was reaped he made a run for it during the travel to the capital and almost got away. If i remember right in his interview he said he was going to die. He could have known he was going to be punish and was going to be targeted. He is very smart. I also wonder if him looking for the end is attempt to run again. The killing his family and friend not being punishiment for winning but for running. 12 also going into a time of extreme strictness due to him. Its just a thought

I just really hope we see Effie, she will be young but maybe we will see her being an escort in training

Oh dang I had no idea she was writing another Hunger Games book definitely gotta check this one out.
I’m so excited and I loved your predictions!
Honestly, super original theory! Never even thought of Cesar. It would be great though!
