    245 g👌🏼 With SD card and battery (in Denmark btw, a little bit of change in gravity)

    • @Quadcopterguide
      @Quadcopterguide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jacob, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. It is much appreciated! Tell me more about the Danish gravity :D

    • @Jordsmed
      @Jordsmed 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Quadcopterguide The precise strength of Earth's gravity varies depending on location. The nominal "average" value at Earth's surface, known as standard gravity is, by definition, 9.80665 m/s^2. (though this sometimes means the normal equatorial value on Earth is 9.78033 m/s^2 (which is used in physics)) but in Denmark the value of gravity is 9,815 m/s^2, while it in the us can be down to 9,781 m/s^2. (Which is a pretty huge difference) Which means DJI makes sure the DJI mini 2 is max 249 grams in the country with the highest value of gravity. Pretty cool if you ask me 😎

      Hey there thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. It is much appreciated! That's a great question. If I need to charge quickly I will use a high rate wallplug on the drone and charge the multi-combo charger seperately. Will work better than daisy-chaining.

    A gram is technically not a measure of weight, but of mass. Weights will vary at different altitudes, thus that might explain why your measurements and others will vary. Grams are to be "weighed" on a balance, and in this way the measurement will be consistent. A balance requires a certified "weight" on one side and it will balance when the mass of the other side is equal. But I enjoyed your video.

    Felix - I’m tempted to buy a backup but my Mavic 2 Pro does so well in dealing with the higher, swirling winds at my favorite mountaintop flying site. Hopefully a Mavic 3 will be equally robust. Just not ready to throw dice using such a lightweight aircraft.

    • @Quadcopterguide
      @Quadcopterguide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey John, thanks for tuning in again! I can totally understand what you mean. The Mavic 2 Pro is my go-to when it comes for capturing the highest quality I can. In terms of a backup, maybe the Mavic Air 2 is a bit better suited due to the higher mass? I am hoping we will see a new Mavic 3 in the first half of next year. I guess it's a matter of deciding of how long to potentially wait :D. What do you use your Mavic 2 Pro for mostly?

      @@Quadcopterguide Felix - Thanks for the note - I love doing landscape stills (my much needed to be updated website - Wetlandsplendors.com). Never had the skills to do video, and currently, I’m troubled by an issue with my smart controller. Last summer I brushed against a wire in a landing, and the M2P fell about 10 feet. Cracked a forward prop housing, and believed it would fly just fine. I sent it to DJI since I had refresh, and they sent me a brand new M2P. Problem is, I have all these images on the drone/smart controller - but can’t get them out - whereas before, I believe, all I had to do was insert the chip (either from the aircraft or the controller) into a microSD reader/iPad and I was able to download.
      Any thoughts? Many thanks, and keep up the great work.

      Hey Scott, thanks for tuning in! Who knows maybe they will bring support later. But the Mini 2 being the beginner quad, I don't see that as much of a selling point so maybe they won't do it.

    I actually don't own a drone but I might get the air 2s this fall anyways the first note is that the dji rcn1 is compatible with the mini 2 air 2 and air 2s and mavic 3 but THE FIRMWARE IS NOT THE SAME this means that you NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR MINI 2 CONTROLLER TO WORK ON THE MAVIC 3 OR AIR 2S although it's the same firmware used for mini 2 and mavic air 2 that is because the mini 2 and mavic air 2 uses ocusync 2.0 whereas the air 2s uses ocusync 3.0 and mavic uses O3+
    THERE IS ONE EXCLUSIVE FEATURE ONLY IN THE MINI 2 THAT WHILE YOUR TAKING OFF YOU CAN ARM THE MOTORS BY PUSHING IN THE RC STICKS AND THROWING UP YOUR DRONE

    I have Two Mini 2's. With the 6 grams of Landing Gear, Both Mini 2's come in at 239 grams. With Battery and SD card. And I have a Digital Gem Scale and it was calibrated last year. So yeah...I can STILL add filters and be under 250...the Only issue is the best I get is 1080@50fps. After I did the first Firmware Update on Mini 2.1, it killed my first Mini 2. So I went and got another one just to make sure I'm not an idiot since I've been doing this rc thing for 50 years...and yeah, it's Both Mini 2's. Some programmer sitting in a dark cube will get his ass chewed out and get on a fix for Android. No biggie. I need two because I fly day and night and tend to go through 6-8 batteries at a time. 25 minutes in Wind. Great Drones. I have a monster that carries 3lbs. of very expensive stuff...so I need the Mini 2's for FUN and they are perfect. If you wreck this thing then don't ride a bike either. I'm addicted to them for sure....
