I make all my wife's lunches. I do each item in separate pyrex containers with silicon lids. And I label them with blue tape and a sharpie. So she can just grab and go to suit her mood.
I like the smell of steaming hot rice. It smells so starchy and the grains are all translucent. Really really fresh rice tastes sweet and soft. I really love that taste, fresh rice with ghee and salt is my ultimate comfort food

Mostly all of that work was prep work which can be done while the rice is cooking and also while the chicken is cooking the next part which is the mushrooms are probably getting prepped and then that's one sauce for the both of those... And probably chopping the bacon and cabbage while all the other stuff was cooking as well so it really is just a lot of prep work not a lot of cooking time or rather not a lot of standing there supervising the cooking, since it's just chicken and you really just need to flip it a couple times

Do you cook and pack for all 4 days at once and keep them in the fridge or do you pack one day at a time in the morning? I’m kinda worried that rice gets really hard and dry in the fridge after 4 days so I never tried to pack in advance 😅

@@sibanimajhi It's not the reheating that matters. For instance fried rice is made with previously cooked rice. It's how it's stored. If cooked and then put in the fridge within an hour. It's safe to reheat as long as 4 days technically. But it's rarely still worth eating at that point anyway. Safe yes, tasty though? Probably not. Rice contains a bacteria that makes it especially bad to be left out yes. But if stored properly, it's fine to reheat. In fact the same danger that's present in reheating is their in fresh cooked rice too. As it's not always killed by boiling. It's not a very dangerous type of bacteria though. Unless allowed to fester at room temperature. Which is a big no no for most food, not just rice. BTW I just googled this to be sure. I used "is reheating rice dangerous" to search it. ✌️

why don’t you just tweak it to make it halal? not to mention, most of her dishes ARE halal with the exception of anything that has pork in it. the veggies, rice, chicken and seasonings she uses are all halal. i recreate her dishes all the time with no issue
