I love the way nobody ever curses (eg Trish telling Marc we need to get our baloney in the RV) That I can watch this with my 7 year old boy, or my wife, or even my 18 year old daughter and not panic to find the mute button. I also love the fact that I have never seen Trish with a negative word or expression (the closes she has come to negative was when ya'll walked out of that Motel and you could see she was not happy about sleeping in the car.) My favorite part is a positive view of family life and the love of the kids. This is my favorite show every week and I never miss a Sunday night. Keep up the great work LOVING IT
Thanks Bill. It's very much intentional. When we watch TH-cam prior to leaving, we could hardly find a channel to watch with our kids. When we do meet-ups we meet 7 year olds that watch and we're reminded why we keep it PG. Regarding Trish... that's exactly how she is off camera. That's why we make fun of her for being so positive! ;)

We have a similar US version (Itasca Viva aka Winnebago Trend) of this rig and we love it. We drive it everywhere! I wish our drop down bed just clicked, the mechanical portion is.. well typical RV quality 🙁. Safe travels! -Thomas
We have the same system in the UK cassette wise, nobody bats an eyelid over dumping the waste, but in our unit there are strict rules, which many campers here do observe, STRICTLY NO SOLIDS !!!!!!

Great Video. In Norway we have a gripped to pull out at the toilett-casette, it was like to pull your cabin-bag to the dumping area. So we also decided to drive near by to dump, by leaving the rv park.

You two, Trish and Marc, are too cute and a great couple. Also this video was superbly done, excellent editing, music, drone and underwater footage as well. Was hoping there would be more of a walk-through of that RV, as in fun to see what New Zealanders like in an RV. Maybe that is in another video. Wife and I went to our very first RV show today, quite an experience. Hopefully, we get the opportunity to enjoy RVing some day. We did boat camping in a 31 foot power boat for several years, an expensive recreational pursuit but loads of fun! Good times.
Great video again. Our Coleman pop up camper had a cassette just like the one you are using. They are really easy to use. But as you already know with 4 people they fill up quickly
Love the spur of the moment, roll with the punches approach. Planning seems to be create a vision for the next 48 to 96 hrs and create experiences between beginning and end. When Tricia said, "This is why we don't make reservations" , I flashed back to so many over planned, overscheduled trips!

This season is going to be so interesting on several levels. I would love to see New Zealand, and I've thought about doing a class C until I can get an RV that I could live in. Seeing the warm weather is making me jealous as well. It's 4° here in montana with a wind chill of -11° so it's I'm cold :-) lol walk of shame with the cassette.
These are the kind of campers/caravans (you call it rv/trailer) we have in the Netherlands. Can you imagine why I'm addicted to watch American rv tours. The slide outs, the tanks, the space etc 🤗 Our cassette in the caravan (trailer) for the toilet is dubbel the size you have. But we have no tanks for grey water. And no shower in it as well. This is a lovely rv, but in comparison with the American rv is really tiny
Loving the new season. We've been watching for a year now. Your videos really encouraged my partner and I to creat our own RVing channel. Looking forward to next Sunday's video.
I have loved KYD family since season 1. Marc and Trish, you have raised such well rounded kids. This video made me laugh until my sides hurt! I always find it funny when hard-siders look at cassette potties like they are from outer space. Marc, we have the cassette potty here in the US in the Popups too. LOL. Maybe you should try a Popup for a short season--just you and the boys. Put Tricia at a spa...she deserves it!!
Another question is Freedom Camping? How and where? Of course I believe I have heard from another video of yours this term. I downloaded the TruckMap app! Very cool plus I found another app called ParkAdvisor app. It lists a map of all the camp sites in our area and rates them with comments and $$ signs on value. Pretty cool. Not sure if you use that. We haven't used any of them yet. We have only camped twice locally in a Pup with NO air-conditioning 😭. So it gets hot but I love the whole camping think and adventure!! We will be shopping for something larger and better for our family trips next year for MORE of a Road trip journey 🙌🙏. Just need LOTS of advice 😀 Thanks 😊

We dropped off our Arctic Fox travel trailer for some warranty work at Humphrey RV in Montrose, CO. There is a huge flat screen TV by the service desk. They were showing KYD videos! While we were there, they featured your video on the Top 10 things new RV owners need to know and your video on how you organized your Grand Design. I asked them what inspired them to show your videos. They said your videos have some great information. I agree. I’ve been following your adventures from the beginning.

Hello KYD -- I stayed at a YHA (hostel) in New Zealand on the Coromandel 19 years ago. Be sure and go out in nature in the dark on the new moon where there is very little light in the forest. There are GLOW WORMS -- for real. You can see them just lying on the ground our on a hill side. It is MAGICAL !!! So happy for you that you get to be in NZ. I did my trip on busses and stayed at YHAs -- Best trip I ever took -- Got to spend 7 weeks. How long are you staying in NZ. Many Blessings for Dreams Comig True !!!

I'm the first generation born in Canada, to a family of scottish immigrants - nothing was more spectacular than to see family i never met, and stand in places where my family stood many years before. my wife convinced me we had to go for our honeymoon and that set off the travel bug in me! we really cant wait to get in that RV, on the oposide of the vehicle, on the opposide of the road, in all the narrow country roads and just explore! :)

It's interesting that while the motor home is right hand drive the box or camper portion has the door on the right as it would for a left drive motor home.
Perhaps your best work to date. Great drone footage and I continue to be amazed at Trish's ability to keep that hat on her head at all times, in all conditions. Ah, great idea for a "Bloopers Tape", 20 minutes of Trish losing her chapeau. I am taking it for granted she manages all the logistics of your travels but am curious as to what part the boyz play in that planning if any. Keep up the work, Mate, from one who also drives on the right side most of the day.
Trish and her hats :) When it comes to the boys, we give them options and they're quick to pick. Most of the time, we have to convince them. When they start working, they'll look back on these videos and realize how lucky they are. They might know now. Maybe. Probably not.

Just discovered your videos and I'm loving them. I couldn't help thinking that you both have movie star voices. Marc sounds just like William H. Macy and Tricia sounds like Mila Kunis. Just the voices, mind you. Again, excellent videos.
That little Fiat/Peugeot/Ram Camper/RV looked surprisingly spacious especially with how the bed came down from the ceiling. And the lighting in the RV/camper makes the inside of the camper bigger. You can actually get the Fiat or Ram as it’s called in the USA as a camper van. Although it’s a van converted into an RV/camper. I drive the Fiat/Ram van as a delivery van/truck for the Danish postal service delivering parcels, so I know how it drives. I think altogether it drives pretty good as a delivery van/truck. I wonder how you guys think it performs as a camper/RV maybe it’s a bit small for your taste given the bigger rig you have back home as well as how do you think it drives? I take it cassette toilets are not that usual in North America? I think it pretty common in Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand. Yes the gas tank is way smaller I think than your Ford F-150 truck. Looking forward to your comparison USA vs NZ. Can you also elaborate of the pros and cons of RV’ing in NZ vs USA and compare this Fiat Camper and compare it to your own? And how about getting used to the metric system? Sorry for the cloudy weather. It actually looked somewhat chilly. I wonder how warm it gets in the summer as well as winter in NZ?
Cassettes are the way to go! That’s one of the top reasons I bought my Hymer here in the States...now they’re in receivership, but we won’t go there. 🤦♂️😂 Great video and trip!

I totally would have been with Trish in the boat doing the wine and snacks! I have to admit that I was fascinated that literally everything in New Zealand is backwards. Being below the equator, even the water goes down the toilet and drain backwards. Oh well, easily amused I guess. Beautiful video.
Required cassette toilet question --- did you use for both liquids & solids? Many people decide it's better to use the cassette for primarily liquids (and 'emergency' solids) for a variety of reasons ...
Our first night at a park nw of Auckland we woke up to I think they were called Pukeko wandering around outside and if we left the motorhome door open by accident they'd hop right in!

It's interesting that while the motor home is right hand drive the box or camper portion has the door on the right as it would for a left drive motor home.

Ah, great idea for a "Bloopers Tape", 20 minutes of Trish losing her chapeau. I am taking it for granted she manages all the logistics of your travels but am curious as to what part the boyz play in that planning if any. Keep up the work, Mate, from one who also drives on the right side most of the day.
Trish and her hats :) When it comes to the boys, we give them options and they're quick to pick. Most of the time, we have to convince them. When they start working, they'll look back on these videos and realize how lucky they are. They might know now. Maybe. Probably not.

That little Fiat/Peugeot/Ram Camper/RV looked surprisingly spacious especially with how the bed came down from the ceiling. And the lighting in the RV/camper makes the inside of the camper bigger. You can actually get the Fiat or Ram as it’s called in the USA as a camper van. Although it’s a van converted into an RV/camper. I drive the Fiat/Ram van as a delivery van/truck for the Danish postal service delivering parcels, so I know how it drives. I think altogether it drives pretty good as a delivery van/truck. I wonder how you guys think it performs as a camper/RV maybe it’s a bit small for your taste given the bigger rig you have back home as well as how do you think it drives? I take it cassette toilets are not that usual in North America? I think it pretty common in Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand. Yes the gas tank is way smaller I think than your Ford F-150 truck. Looking forward to your comparison USA vs NZ. Can you also elaborate of the pros and cons of RV’ing in NZ vs USA and compare this Fiat Camper and compare it to your own? And how about getting used to the metric system? Sorry for the cloudy weather. It actually looked somewhat chilly. I wonder how warm it gets in the summer as well as winter in NZ?

Cassettes are the way to go! That’s one of the top reasons I bought my Hymer here in the States...now they’re in receivership, but we won’t go there. 🤦♂️😂 Great video and trip!

I totally would have been with Trish in the boat doing the wine and snacks! I have to admit that I was fascinated that literally everything in New Zealand is backwards. Being below the equator, even the water goes down the toilet and drain backwards. Oh well, easily amused I guess. Beautiful video.

Required cassette toilet question --- did you use for both liquids & solids? Many people decide it's better to use the cassette for primarily liquids (and 'emergency' solids) for a variety of reasons ...
Our first night at a park nw of Auckland we woke up to I think they were called Pukeko wandering around outside and if we left the motorhome door open by accident they'd hop right in!

Looks like an awesome trip. I was outvoted for our winter trip next Christmas (I wanted NZ or Australia). I guess they thought I said Austria cause that's where we're going.
