i first shot a m1911 45acp 52 years ago in the army. these things are made for 230gr ball ammo, lots of motor oil lube, and either a single hand or two hand teacup grip. old army, long before tatted up special operators, boutique chemicals and whiz bang ammo entered the world.
Some thoughts from my experience with 1911's. Always clean and oil them when new especially and after each shooting. They were designed for ball ammo. It is what I carry in a 1911, that's just me. That gun does not have a full length guide rod, nor does it need one. That gun shoots great, and you got it at a good price in todays dollars. Congrats. Looks like a keeper.
You are correct, I meant to say one piece guide rod. I was having too much fun shooting it! I try to clean and lightly oil everything with Ballistol after I shoot. So far, it has worked flawlessly except with one magazine. For the money, I am amazed at what kind of weapons are coming out of Turkiye (new country name). It makes me want to try one of their auto loading shotguns.
After shooting it more it will feed and fire anything I try in it. The break in definitely helped. I saw a bi color version for $399 recently. I’m very tempted!
One thing I noticed is it’s pretty picky about magazines. I probably won’t stick with that hollow point because of the groups. I’ll give the Hornady CD a try!
I got a RIA officers model, absolutely love it. I’m about to pickup a Tisas B45 carry very soon. Videos like this make me glad I’m going to drop the hammer. Lol
I don't know single stack magazines I've only owned a couple of those pistols at use a single stack but I've always loaded two or three and tapped it down you know every two or three rounds tap it down on the back side just like an AR magazine Solis eat right and I've never had a problem
Out of habit I often tap the back against my palm as well. For the one magazine that I have trouble with it was made in the 1940's so I should probably cut it some slack! :)

I have pictures of my dad shooting the 45 while stationed in Germany in the early 60’s. Some things don’t change much!
FYI, these pistols do prefer to be ran wet. Hope you’re still enjoying it, great gun and good shooting!
I would enjoy it more if I could get out to the range! Soon I hope. I like it so much I’m looking at the Tisas Raider as a brother for this one. 😬

Most 1911s where made for ball ammo. I have 2 Tisas they perform good with ball ammo for break in.

Not too many 1911s like wide mouth hollow points. Mine loves the hornady critical duty with the polymer tip.

Sorry I’m making you spend more money! 😂
I see them for under $400 online at different places. That’s a great price for this pistol!
It does not have a full length guide rod. It has a standard GI guide rod….the way it should be.
Good catch! I meant to say standard one piece rod.
You need to break 1911’s in with ball ammo before you shoot hollow points, at least 200 rounds
I have shot plenty of ball through it but if I'm going to carry I want to know it will reliably shoot the ammo I want to use.
Mine with tax and shipping was 527.99 from grab a gun. Mine has 2 mags and plastic case.
They are a great deal!

Did you ever figure out the dove tail size for the sights? Thanks!
I have not. I keep meaning to take it to my gunsmith to have it measured but I keep forgetting!
Is that the carry or the duty? looks like a fullsize 1911.
It is the duty B45. Great 1911 for the price.
Should never shoot one dry.
I always clean my weapons with Ballistol which leaves a nice lubricating layer.
