Just bought this same gun a few days ago off consignment at a local shop. I love the look and feel as well Tisas seems to have a good reputation based on everything I've seen. Taking it out in the morning after work for its first trial run at the range and cant wait to see how it does. This is my first 1911 AND first .45.

How is weapon holding up when you took it to the range did you have any malfunctions or this particular weapon peaky about certain ammo?
@@kingd3001 I was overall really pleased with it although I only kept the gun a few months before trading it on a Sig 1911. Of the 250-300 rounds I put through it, of various types, I only had a few failure to feeds with one particular type that I can recall. I don't remember which brand but I remember it being a 240 grain FMJ load in one of the lower cost lines because it also caused the same issues with my 4 inch barrelled Springfield Armory and 5 inch Rock Island GI models. I've found the Hornady 185 gr JHP American Gunner and the 185 gr JHP Sierra Outdoor Master to shoot really well out of any of the 4 1911s I've shot them through. I don't recall a single failure with either ammo through any of the guns.

@@kingd3001 I got a really good deal on the Sig. I just liked the look and feel better and overall it is just a nicer gun. The Sig's slide is so smooth, the trigger is a little better and its definitely more accurate, the Sig is a 5" however whereas the Tisas was a 4".
We all wish we could shoot a 1911 that good!! Im almost embarassed to go to the range after watching you shoot. If I get the chance the next pistol I get may be a Tisas cause they perform well for a low price. That 10mm from sds looks awfully good for the money. Thanks for your time. Hey there friend. Since I watched this video the 1st time I bought one. Am extremely happy with it. I put 100 rounds through it and it ran em all like clock work. My S& W MP 45 jammed 2 times at 200 rounds. I believe this pistol will last a long time. ( My S&W hasn't jammed in 300 more rounds. Have a great weekend and God Bless ya.🤠🙏🇺🇸👍

I have that as well-- so far 400 rnds thru it ,all kinds of ammo-- not a single hiccup- I've added Wilson combat full length guiderod- extended slide stop-& left side only safety- also crimson trace laser grips-- if its not on my side, it's on my nite stand ! LOVE IT !

Side note I love this gun has full size govt grip with a large beavertail. When its time to rock its a very secure pull.

Hey Al I love my Tisas CB45B it’s a great 1911 in 45acp very accurate and low recoil for a 45 good video take care..
That’s awesome. My every day carry. Is a 45 ACP. And the one I carry the most is the Tisas it’s an engraved series. Special edition. And it is super accurate around 400 rounds through it without a issue. And will feed about any type of ammo I put through it. I think you for watching my friend. I usage two Tisas in 45 acp love them👍
I bought that pistol 7 months ago. It has been a good shooter for me. I’m not a fan of white box. I use Federal ammo and haven’t had a problem yet. That being said said, you might have had a mag issue. I would load up both mags with your other ammo, and then load up both mags with white box to see if the problem now happens with both mags using white box and doesn’t happen with either mag using the other ammo.

Reminds of when I was a kid and Mom,Dad, Granny, Pop's and all the aunts and uncles would get together and play music and sing. Great memories for me. Good video. I have the Tisas Carry .45 with steel frame. Very good shooter. I'm looking forward to a Stingray .45. Right now, Tisas 1911s are the best deal you can find on a good 1911, in my opinion.

Nice shooting and a sweet looking pistol. I got to shoot several 1911 Tisas pistols at a range day event at Carter's Country and enjoy all of them with no issues from any of them. My favorite was the 1911 GI version. Mainly because it was the pistol I was most accurate with. Thanks for the video and have a great weekend 😊.

It came with 2 magazines, Plastic case, Wooden Grips and arched mainspring housing.
I am removing the wood grips and replacing them with new/old stock Pachmayr Signature series Rubber Grips.
Two individual panels, not wraparound. I have always liked the feel of Pachmayr grips. I have them on my
S&W Revolver too.

@@TheWalkWithAl I agree they are good quality. I keep hoping they’ll come out with a .22 LR. I think they’d do a good job with one.
With a couple hundred rounds through mine. I had the same problem on the last round consistently. It also had problems feeding hollow points with a full mag. Didn't matter which brand of magazine I used either. Still had the function issues. Yes I did use Wilson Combat mags.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems with yours After I went to a different magazine. I haven’t had any issues after that. But it does have an issue with some hollow point ammunition. But I have found this to be pretty common especially in the 1911. I am certain that.Tisas we’ll fix or replace your firearm. Because it sounds like yours might have something else going on. Do these pistols come with the feed ramps polished? if not then doing that should help
@markboatwright944 I have been working on the frame feed ramp with some 1500 grit. It seems to have helped. I can't really complain about feed ramp polishing for the price. No regrets about the purchase.

I like the .45 ACP very much. I´ve got a Ruger American Duty in .45 ACP. Nice shooting... and for me as a lefty fine to handle.

I have this exact model I carry it with no issue at all I prefer it in a IWB holster but works great in a OWB holster

I have the identical handgun, Al, .45 Stingray Carry. Winchester white box 230 gr hardball always jams up on the last round from the magazine, Doesn't matter if I load 8 rounds, 5 rounds or 3 rounds. It jams on the last round. I have 100 rounds through it at this point. Haven't tried any other ammo yet. Also noticed that the left grip panel was a little loose now and HR Funk reported the same grip issue with his Tisas 1911. Accuracy is fine and it is fun to shoot. Looking forward to finding the solution to the feeding problem. Can't stand a gun that is not reliable.
I put a little bit more pressure on the magazine spring and it seems to be feeding them with no issues now. But I am using. Some different ammo. Armscore 230 grain. I will keep testing this. And see if this has fix the problem. I Feel the same way you do I want something that I can count on? I think you for the information you provided. And will let you know how this turns out. Check the extractor tension; failure to feed on the last round can many times be traced to an extractor with too much tension. Oh, and I love the Tisas pistols!
There's a little metal nipple on top of the follower in their factory mags that causes the last rounds rim on the casing to drag, file it down and that will fix the issue. I had the same issue with my Service Special and my Devil Ray.
@@chuckr5929Chuck, it did the same thing with Wilson Combat mags. I started relieving the pressure on the extractor and I have about worked all of it out. Next thing is to radius and smooth all of the sharp edges leading into the chamber. I believe that will finish the job and have it feeding smooth as silk. Thanks for your reply. I will look at that metal nipple, too.
@@cliftonwhittaker260 I have only ran the factory mags, Kimber mags, and colt through mine, have yet to polish anything on mine but I thought about doing it.

I mean, it's really no big deal. If you want them, then simply take it to your local gunsmith, and have them put the cuts in themselves. Otherwise, I think it's fine as it is.

There’s a lot of real good quality made firearms on the market today. They come a long ways over the last 10 years. And why pay a lot more when you don’t have to. I ordered the enhanced version from Bud's which is basically a two tone black over dark grey..turkish guns are quality built firearms and are cheaper because Turkey's economy is in the dumps and a buck goes a long way there..good guns...

Wide mouth hollowpoints usually dont run well. Get you some hornady critical duty with the red tip. They run great

Bought my stingray in February. I have over 500 rounds through it and always the last round gets jammed. I've polished the slide and frame. Can't get the gun to run smoothly. I've ran many different types of ammo. I'm extremely disappointed in it.
Have you tried a different magazine? I keep some Wilson combat magazines on hand. They usually work great. But I know if you keep having issues. This company will fix the problem. Let me know how this turns out. I would love to hear from you. And I really appreciate you watching. Thank you.👍👍👍👍
I have the same issue with my .45 Stingray Carry, Richard. I plan to get a couple of Wilson Combat mags and try them. I think that will be the cure. I'm not going to polish anything myself. If the Wilson mags don't cure the problem it will go back under warranty.
@The Walk With Al 4 different mags. Few different wilson combat, mec-gar mags. Definitely not a mag issue. Most times is clears them all. But more than I'd like to see the last round in the mag fails to feed
@Clifton Whittaker I'll never use sds warranty. 1911 are literally the easiest guns to work on. They come factory with a 18lb recoil spring. I'm going to try a 20lb recoil spring. Problem with the stingray is the light aluminum frame with an aluminum feed ramp. My sds 5" b45 steel frame. Out of the box haven't touched anything on it, 700 rounds not a single problem. I've since put a better trigger, wilson combat sear, sear spring and hammer. Wow it's as good as my friend's Dan wesson side by side.
Time to upgrade your mags to Willson combat 8rd and 10rd magazines
