      On “Detail” they don’t have ESPN employees. Kobe started it but then they had Peyton Manning, Phil Jackson, Wayne Gretzky, Kevin Durant,... some of the greats! So if they did do a “boxing detail” they would probably get the best minds of boxing which would be dope!

    Excited to watch this series, you are pretty much one of the best boxing analysts i've ever seen on youtube! And a question, do you think Floyd would've beaten those in the golden era like Hearns or SRL, vice versa? In terms of physicality I think i'd favor the latter, though these 3 are proven to be extremely conditioned in stamina. What examples, if there are, would close the discrepancy in skill and competence, according to all the available footage, that would point to a winning advantage over the other, or is it really known to be 50/50 with these fighters?

    • @BoxingGems
      @BoxingGems  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m not sure how the fantasy fights would go but I think they are competitive. As you watch the series I tried to point out how Floyd showed high level skills at everything. That may make the difference.

    The Japanese boxer people are raving about (Inoue) reminds me a lot of Floyd Mayweather in his "Pretty Boy" days when he fought in the lower weight classes. They are both boxing geniuses, born and bred to be elite world class boxers. Check him out. You'll see the similarities.

    Angel Manfrey was also using cocaine on and off throughout his career. Wether he was using it in this Mayweather fight that remains to be seen. However that is clearly and unfair advantage. As it’s a PED which increases your tolerance to pain and increase your speed and reflexes. I think it also gives you better wind. Non the less it’s definitely a performance enhancing drug.

      Word bro. Manny’s my favorite boxer of all time (maybe him and RJJ) but I hate it when people-especially casual Pac fans-disrespect Floyd. The man is an all time great. This is my personal Top 5: Robinson, Manny and Floyd tied at 2-3, Ali, and Armstrong. I always thought that Ali was greater than Pac or Floyd, but Pac, for example, had more Ali moments than Ali did. Ali had Liston, Frazier, and Foreman. People thought these guys would destroy Ali (one did). Whereas people thought Pac would be beaten by Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera, Morales, Hatton, De La Hoya, Cotto, Margarito, and Thurman. Respect your work, my dude!
