The amazing thing about the late 80s was growing up in Ireland, a long way from the US, the two biggest global stars for us youngsters were Eddie Murphy and Mike Tyson. Amazing that these two guys from Brooklyn came to dominate popular culture at the same time. We loved both of those guys.

I love how everyone in the restaurant is acting oblivious to the fact that 2 legendary comics are sitting arm’s length.
I don't know about the specifics of this show obviously, but a lot of times for something like this the production company will just pay to shut the whole location down, and the other people in the shot are just people who work for the show. Otherwise, yeah, it would be pretty distracting to see people constantly freaking out about how Jerry Seinfeld is sitting on the other side of the room.

Two of the most successful comedians, very rich and so humble. Just casually talking their stories with huge respect between them on a breakfast with a cup of coffee. I could listen them a whole day.
I love these two old endearing friends chatting and talking about their muse of Comedy! Jerry when you brought up death and it's 2 minutes funny after they died. When my Dad past yes we were all heart broken, I lost a Dad and Best Friend. Mom honored my Dad's wishes to be cremated and she wanted my brother and I to take home some of the ashes. There I am in the Kitchen quietly as Mom was sitting in the living room watching TV. The ashes Urn on the counter and looking for how I would scoop some ashes and found a measuring cup....it was even like my Dad's Spirit w/ me in Humor when I said out loud
to my Mom raising the measuring Cup...."Mom how many Cups of Dad should I take????!!!!"
She turned seeing me w/ measuring cup and it was a bellow of laughter so needed in that moment of deep sorrow and in so many ways an equal measure of laughter our Beloved in emotion.
Thanks for sharing your family story. Can you imagine that scene being played out in a movie, people would say that it would never happen.

Seinfeld (the show) was based on his stand up, essentially it was a commentary on 90’s culture. That kind of humor is rooted in the ability to make smart observations. Don’t you think he would still be able to observe and commentate on this generation? Eddie Murphy was slapstick humor. He knew his schtick and stuck with it. Both are brilliant.
Jerry's just little annoying with his arrogance, because he is riding a very old wave of success. When you say "us - comedians" you better get out and show some skill today, but he is more of a producer, i don't see him being comfortable doing small shows and working new ways out. Eddie's style is so effortless that i see him doing a 10 mins here and there. I might be wrong ofcourse
That's probably why Seinfeld switched gears into this show, which was a great move. This series is like a scientific study of the art of comedy, and its brilliant.
