Cosby was the big star when Eddie was coming up and used to belittle his cursing style of comedy so that's what makes the "whos the daddy now" line more beautiful
Nothing funny about 11 children with multiple women. No matter how much money you have a woman will always jump ship with your cash. He's old enough to know that yet still went out and did it. Don't even say duh but he's wealthy though he can do what he wants. May be wealthy but not to smart. Anyone that oils this feminist machine can't be all there.
Jane Terri It was my first time hearing it and, surprisingly enough, I don’t live under a rock. I could be wrong, but I’m willing to figure there are more of us. Beyond that, it sounded more like an explanation as opposed to a “that’s the funniest joke I ever just heard in the history of EVER.”
Cosby thought he was better than most of the Latino & Black comedians. Cosby would always put down the inner city. Eddie was right to diss him since Cosby ended up being such a sexual predator hypocrite.
@@MikeJones-pf4wd Cosby's no sexual predator, he's a Black Man who has oil on his land that the oil company's want to access and he won't let them. It was a setup to bankrupt him. Do your research. The Man's rights were violated in court; even the legal analysts will tell you that.
Southsideman... That is so true. You can tell that they all look up to him with the utmost respect, especially Kenan Thompson... He was so excited to be included on stage with a living legend.
@Teddygalbis One show dude. What about the last 30 pls years? Wonder how next Saturday Night's episode will look. Whether you noticed or not, most television shows look like this; of course they'd be all white males. Something to think about.
What people don’t understand. Eddie put Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, and Dave Chappelle in their first movies. This is a circle of life that’s incredible.
Considering that Walmart's first reaction after the accident (caused by Walmart dispatch's negligence) was to launch a slander campaign against Tracy, he deserves every dollar he milked out of those bastards!
Eddie was cheap and talented. Thats it. He worked and did bring ratings. Then went to other better paying shit. Its like being a mechsnic servicing pintos. U see u can service rolls royces u do it. He did it.
AFTER RICHARD PRYOR, EDDIE MURPHY, CARRIED THE TORCH AND THE REST FOLLOWED IT'S SO AWESOME TO SEE THESE ICONIC COMEDIES TOGETHER WELCOME BACK EDDIE IT'S BEEN ALONG TIME COMING.
I had a hope that SNL would do a "Eddie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories" where he does his versions of Prince and Rick James....they show up, something happens, and Eddie breaks out because he doesn't do any of that *%&$. Skit over in about 1 minute.
This was historic and a great moment, and the jokes werent forced or awkward. Things flowed well and they were able to tap into their own comedic character without jeopardizing things
Frank - Yes, I felt the same way. They are naturally funny - like they're sitting around a table having a beer. You used a perfect descriptor - "Flow". None of it seemed rehearsed and they played off of each other. Was a great moment to see these legends on the stage together.
vark...I am a black male and that monologue was not funny,,,,what if all white men were on stage and they pushed off the black guy...then black people would have a fit...let's face it...black people are very racist.
@@seanlong8217 Oh, I'm very sorry but I think you mean humanity. Humanity is racist and being mad at each other's racism is just being hypocritical, and isn't that something we, humanity, have deemed to be bad?
@cloudtoground sometimes I am very ashamed of black people and how they always scream racism...when they are the biggest racist and homophobes there are...and yet black people still vote democrats.
What Tracy Morgan out of all them WHAT_ he is lame, not funny, late blummer, and too soft spoken -- NO Tracy they weren't laughing about what he said/ they were laughing at him instead...
eddie and dave c. gained some wait as they got older (*as opposed to their skinny selves back then), but chris r. still sport'n that "...i just got out of bed!" look
I’m so happy for Keenan. Because you got a look back on all that. All four of these comedians were in their prime at his humble beginnings as a child actor. They were all on hit TV shows, major films, and stand up tours. And here he is on stage with four legends. Hell he is a legend now.
"This is the last episode of 2019, but if you're black, this is the first episode since I left in 1984"...LOL yup. Im only watching SNL right now because of him lol
100%. Well rem: Eddie been a star for a LONG time. Its ironic the joke that upset him was about his "star falling" they used to part ways when he entered a building already full of stars. So in all actuality there arent a lot of people who has earned this right. GOD bless and keep Eddie Murphy and his family.
If paid what they did or gave the hand shakes (wink) they did u would 2. Those seats worth 1000 dollars. Lizzo. Eddie. Chris rock. Chappelle. Trwcy morgan. And a smartphone to record it. Yes 1000 or a tight hand shake. Or hell of a favor called.

Well technically he has .... he did Beverly Hills Cops 2 and Boomerang with Chris Rock, Nutty Professor with Dave Chappelle, and Coming to America 2 with Tracey Morgan!

Absolutely. I think Kenan has, easily, been one of the best cast members in the past 20 years of SNL. He definitely earned his place up there 💯 love that dude.
One of the best opening monologues we’ve seen in years with stars like Eddie, Chris, Tracy, Dave and of course Keenan all together on the same stage is just a one of a kind act for long time fans to witness. Best SNL episode of 2019 period, glad to see Eddie Murphy’s career rise on top with upcoming projects again
Even though most will claim that Garret Morris didn't get treated right when he was a cast member on SNL. Eddie Murphy didn't want Jean Doumanian to do the same to him, which is why he came out as the big star of season six. Well, that, and season six was weak.
OMG, that was like the Mt Rushmore of SNL. I would have thought that this was like the State of the Union Address where one of them has to be in a different secure place in case of an attack.
Almost like he has had worked done. He's the oldest and yet looks the best has aged the best of them up there. Must have a clean healthy diet and no bad habits for decades.
Compared to his 2015 appearance on the SNL 40 episode, Eddie Murphy felt rejuvenated and had his comedy mojo back in time to host the 2019 Christmas episode. This episode hands down will be the most memorable episodes as the king returned to the place that put him on the map.
This was not only special but to me was historic all of these comedy legends on stage led by the iconic eddie murphy wow.thank you snl for this early christmas gift .
So now Eddie Murphy is among the "elder statesmen" of comedy, boy does time fly, I can still remember when Richard Pryor was the established superstar and Murphy was the mentor/rising star.
Yes, those were the days. Richard Pryor and George Carlin were hot. They did an interview with Johnny Carson together in 1981 and it was hilarious. Sadly, they both died of heart attacks three years apart.
Was dope seeing Eddie Murphy and Dave especially. That Nutty Professor scene where they were roasting each other, you knew Dave would end up being a star.
I was a huge fan of Eddie Murphy’s SNL run. My dad took me to see him on the Raw tour when I was fourteen, but he wasn’t ready for what Murphy could do away from the censors. Five minutes in, he turned to me and said “we’re not going to tell your mom about any of this, OK?”
