The Q8 is essentially a Urus but less aggressive.

(If you didnt know) audi owns lamborghini so they might have the same design features here and there. For example, the huracan has the same engine as the r8

P B how? Who cares? What's the big deal? It suits the design of the car much better and protects the exhaust pipes. Regular old circle tailpipes would look cheap and hidious.

And by the way, I love the look of the Q8. It's truly amazing what automakers can do nowadays. I think we are experiencing a multi-faceted renaissance of engineering and design, between hybrid/electric cars, holistic, all-in-one intent of cars, and driver's assistance features.
Might not be the best color option for a review, but the grey metallic is absolutely perfect.

As much as I love my BMW, Audi’s interior game is far better than the BMWs.
Aaron Agsalud is it though? I prefer the 7 series interior as it’s actually usable and not identical to that on 4 other cars and a far cheaper A6 which is half the price, the layout of everything is identical and so it’s made the A8 the most pointless car to buy.
Chatta290 that’s how I look at my 2013 f30 335i. My interior looks the same in every new BMW sedan out there. Why should I spend to upgrade.
Aaron Agsalud Aaron Agsalud well the 3 series interior is no where near as nice as a 5 series interior and certainly nowhere near the 7 series. Looking at the 7 series interior you still notice changes between it and the 5 series, they are similar though but highly differentiated. When you have two massive screens as the interior focal piece you can’t differentiate it, the only difference on the A6, A8, A7, Q8 is the trim in front of the passenger otherwise everything else is the same, that’s not good for the cars costing more than Double. It’s what Mercedes do and that’s made the S Class a useless vehicle and Audi’s have gone and done the exact same thing. The 7 series as standard comes with enough tech and equipment to set it apart from the 5 series anyway and having seen them all I know BMW’s interiors for the next generation will succeed. Using a touch screen to change the climate control is not safe at all while driving, it’s not cool when it can cause accidents and make life harder.
Chatta290 idk but I think the BMW design language is getting old features may differ but same layout. But great point on the Audi’s dual screens. I hate touch screens. They are finger print magnets and distracting.

Touchscreens are impractical, period. I'd need to have a passenger next to me interacting with the stuff whilst I'm driving. In that case, what's the point of having them in the first place?
Imagine airline pilots being surrounded by touchscreens with laggy interfaces. Lol.

the third screen is kinda in the way. physical buttons for the climate control would do the job a bit better. they could do those buttons and wheels with little led screens as indicators if they wanted to be fancy but having no feedback is kinda bad for those controls while driving
Rightfully so Jasdil. They have a new head of Design. His name is Marc Lichte and he's innovative, smart and knows what the brand needs. He's also responsible for the new A8 (my personal favourite), the A7, the A1 and the Q8. All of the cars look good and progressive so far. He does a great job

It looks amazing ! Usually I hate this brand and their boring style, but after the stunning A7 and now this Q8, I start loving Audi so much. It's agressive, sophisticated, the dashboard is like a concept car, ouaw !
My favourite Audi in whole current Audi lineup. Interior is simillar to A8,7 and 6, but I like it, part near transmission lever looks even better than A6,7,8. Amazing. Great review as always.

The guy responsible for the design is called Marc Lichte. He's the head of design @Audi and has the task to make their cars sell better, since Audi currently has some financial problems. So far, he does a extremely good job, due to his experience and phenomenal education. He studied Transportation Design at the Faculty For Design in Pforzheim, which is known to be under the best universities for design worldwide. Under his management, Audi has released the Audi A8 (my personal favourite), the A7, the A6, the A1 and the Q8. All of the cars have innovative, intuitive and attractive design and give Audi a very nice and progressive new design language. Lichte is just perfect for Audi and does tremendous work. I'm excited for the cars that are yet to come.
A nice design but in my opinion the new VW Toureg and Audi Q7 now look very much alike if thats what he intended to do.

I’ll definitely reserve judgement until I see it in the metal. I was so disappointed with the Q7 at release. It looked terrible on pictures. Especially the grille. On the road it’s one of the greatest designed cars I see every day. Those new Audi shapes are very 3-dimensionally sculptured and don’t translate well on pictures.

They are the same car basically...as with the Urus
Because the Bentayga is basically a Q7 because it has the same chassis and such
And a bit of Urus
Bruh, both Bentley and Lamborghini and even Porsche are owned by same company (Volkswagen). They all share a lot of design principles and components among different models. Parent of Lamborghini itself is Audi, so you see what I'm saying.

I saw a few videos of yours, really liked those. So just a couple of questions for you. How does this car compare with 2019 Macan S? In terms of driving capability and feel. I think Q8 would win in the rear seating area or even the trunk space but other than that, what you recommend/choose? (Also, some thoughts on this car Vs Cayenne)

KizioL :D Agreed. The Q7 was an immediate disappointment to me and remains so from a looks point of view. It’s (as many have said) like an Estate car on stilts. Lower the spec, the more awful it looks. The first generation Q7 by far the better looking, albeit obviously dated now.

He says it gets 40 mpg. That is plenty extra to spare imho. Just get it to 30 mpg and get some extra power from it Audi.
Drove one today. 5.4 0-60. Far ahead of the competing brands for its price bracket. Incredible build quality and impressive agility.

I love it because it takes all that great tech from the A8 and delivers it in an SUV form factor. A8 is to be driven in and Q8 is to drive.
i like the way you do your review (quick and sharp) but we don't have enough information about for exemple the innovative technologie such as open the door of the Q8 with your mobile.

Not a fan of the color but I'm glad Audi is being risky with their designing. Boring SUVs are definitely a thing of the past with the model X on almost every corner.
Model X will be a failure as Tesla goes down the drain.
I don't need a review to tell me it's better than an X6... I can tell that perfectly well with my own two eyes.
I went to the dealer for my monthly service on my 2017 SQ5 and Audi tried every thing in the book to get me to trade in my car for the Q8, the deal they offered was ok that I almost traded my car, but having a hard time with those monthly payments and seeing myself spending 86k+ for the car at the end of the deal. It's an awesome car drives smooth, acceleration is great but a tad bit noisy on acceleration, i guess sports turning, in the end it all came down to the cost. it don't take much option to put it in the 80 to 90k range. the problem I found is at that price you don't get the upgraded Sline engine like in the S line brands, only the S line design. I'm sure Audi will offer an SQ8 line upgrade engine down the road but i guest the price will be way north of 100k+. this car is gorgeous and I love it but I'm still working out the payments plan with Audi. note the matrix lights are not available on the standard premium model, but it's optional on the premium plus model $1200 package and if you get the (one year package) that has some additional option that will add an additional $2650 to your matrix light. the matrix light are standard on the prestige, but that's what makes the car stands out so why make it an option it should be standard on all models. sorry guys no Sline engine upgrades yet only one engine offer 3.0T. luv it though.
